About 4 kms outside Borgarnes … so no business near by, that’s a minus if you need to buy anything, but also a plus because it has dining and you cannot get the view from elsewhere
4.1
Nice location just outside of town and close to hiking trails
4.1
Hotel was very cute. Exactly as we expected. Our bathroom door was VERY loud but other than that the whole experience was amazing. The staff was wonderful and very very helpful. Location was beautiful right on the water. Would stay again.

THE VIEW!!!@
4.1
Beautiful views
4.1
Basic motel style accommodation with an amazing view. Clean and older property. Limited breakfast options. 1 hour from Reykjavík.
4.1
The hottub and sauna were a perfect way to end the evening.
Since we were leaving early and missed breakfast, they packed us a to go bag. Was very kind!
Made our first night in Iceland a great experience.
4.1
Old property but nice room and good breakfast.
4.1
Nice breakfast. Friendly staff. Good location.
4.1
Staffs are great, checkin was smooth, and it also included breakfast.
The building is bit old so you can hear other rooms easily. In addition, the second floor has very low ceiling, so you can even bump to it when sit up on the bed. Hot water has a extremely strong sulphur smells.
Considering the price, I would give it 3*.
4.1
Nice stay in a clean room, Nice breakfast and very friendly host.
4.1
Loved the sauna and hot tub, was really cool to view the mountains while relaxing away.
4.1
Too many lights on outside. The room was rundown and gross.

Roomy space for three beds. There was Netflix on tv so that was a plus! Unfortunately we weren’t able to get cold drinking water from the tap and had to go down to the bar to get it.
4.1
The hotel Hafnarfjall was just terrible. The condition of both rooms (Rooms 4 & 5) was not clean, the bedding was worn, and the bathroom needed a major cleaning and upgrade. This hotel was the worst hotel on our 17-day trip to Iceland. I woke up with many bite marks on my body staying in Room 4 near the twin bed by the window which I have documented, most likely from this hotel. In the morning, coffee was instant coffee and not made fresh.

Great location, but seems that our cabin was disappointing. Cabin needs upkeep.
4.1
Staff are friendly and accommodating. No boiling water for drinking in the room
4.1
Vlean lines, nice and open space, private.
4.1
good location on the ring road but not much around to do.
4.1
Good service.

A great experience in a private cabin, access to hot tub, with wonderful views, close to amenities, restaurants, etc. It was pretty windy when we stayed at Hafnarfjall so we stayed in but heard others rave about the shoreline walk, too.

Location of hotel is geest to see borrealis ...........

We loved staying in the cottage! The views cannot be beat. We were not a fan of the two twins beds.
4.1
Our room had just been updated, it was small but very nice. The staff was excellent, and the breakfast that was included was wonderful.
4.1
Nice view off the mountain out the front window. Close to town with the Settlement Center there, and a couple of real nice restaurants. Hot tub, nice touch. Excellent, diverse options for breakfast, and most accomodating staff.
4.1
Good location, breakfast was very good. The staff is really friendly and helpful.

Unless the room in main building, otherwise , I stay in a cabin , not good, have to drive through unpave road for 3mins, there is no curtain in the room, others can see us sleeping, wifi is not as good as main building, but when I booked this place, I wasn’t told I would not stay main building.
4.1
The hotel is simple, our room was big and clean. Bathroom quite simple. Breakfast was good, good choice of food. Too bad was our table sticky.
4.1
It’s in a fantastic location, right on the beach. Very private, attentive staff, great breakfast, cozy cottage. It couldn’t be better!
4.1
The building is a little bit old but the rooms were fine and the breakfast great. From here you can explore a lot of area’s

We found this hotel to be exactly what we needed for a day spent touring the Snæfellsnes Peninsula. The beds were comfortable, the breakfast set us up for the day, and there was a hot tub.
4.1
Staff is friendly and free upgrade when check in. Breakfast is simple but ok. Tea, coffee and cookies are available for all day.
Good price.
4.1
You have the best of both worlds at this hotel. One side you have a view of the ocean and can walk to the beach. On the other side you have majestic mountain views. It was quiet and very cozy. A continental breakfast was included and provided a nice start to each day. The staff was always friendly and helpful. Our room was clean and comfortable. I would highly recommend this hotel.
4.1
Room was great as long as you don’t mind bumping your head. The room we had had a severely sloped roof. My friend had to pull the bed over to make sure she wouldn’t bonk her head in the middle of the night. But you did get great views of the mountain that way. My friend did also get a bed that rocked a bit. It was weird. But the location is great and the atmosphere of the building was super nice.
4.1
The only thing that would’ve made it better would be American phone charger adapters
4.1
We stayed in the cottages. Fantastic views, facilities and staff. Great place to stay.
4.1
Super friendly staff! This was a great place to see the northern lights, close to town but far enough to not have to worry about light pollution, able to see them directly over the water! Highly recommend!
4.1
Not an exciting hotel but OK. No dinner to be had but I knew that in advance so no problem.
4.1
This place is great, go for one of the pod style cottages. They are down by the water with views of the mountains.. the owner is cool.
I would go back for sure
