Overall a good place to stay. I would recommend bringing earplugs as the Medina can be a bit noisy at night.

I’m not gonna lie, Casablanca is rough around the edges. But the Ryad itself was amazing and felt extremely safe and friendly. They had modern amenities and the rooftop breakfast area is incredible. Nicest people!

really friendly and helpful staff, the area around is vibrant and the hotel is a lot more calm. the terrace room is great with excellent views but on the down side the water pressure is a bit low for being so high up

Very friendly service. Room was average. Bathroom is very smelly. TV useless with many German channels. Fridge was not working and never got fixed despite reporting it. Quite noisy. Easy to find. Medina is ok but not as attractive as other cities. The hotel organised a taxi to the airport which was nice but the driver was scary and it’s wipers stopped working while it was raining heavily. So mixed feelings about this one

Great location. Inside the Medina but not so far inside you’ll get lost. The room was super-cute with a separate small living room, all in traditional style. It’s winter so I didn’t spend much time on the roof except for breakfast. I don’t usually eat in the morning but had to come for the fresh-squeezed orange juice and coffee.

The hotel has a perfect location. The staff was helpful in answering questions about transport and sightseeing. The room was large but the drainage outlet of the bathroom didn’t work well.

My stay in the apartment in Riad 91 was a unique experience. The Riad is inside the Medina, which offers an unusual experience. Plenty of noise, curious merchants, and the expected street conditions in a 2nd world country. This doesn’t faze me, as if I’d wanted a 1st world hotel, I’d have stayed at the Marriott up the street. My room was comfortably furnished with Moroccan furniture and textiles, clean and rather gorgeously painted. It’s my day of arrival in Morocco after 2 flights from the West coast of the USA, so sleeping wasn’t an issue. The Riad has a pleasant and moderately priced restaurant on the roof, and includes a continental breakfast along with olives and tahini. I found the place with little difficulty due to excellent directions sent by the staff. I took a grand taxi from the airport (300 dh) and the driver used google maps to get to the closest entrance (no cars allowed in Medina but watch out for motorcycles). Riad 91’s best feature is the staff: night desk Osama, day desk Hareema (?), and great waiter for breakfast. Very accommodating and go out of their way to help. Osama carried my suitcase up the spiral stairs to the 2nd floor apartment, which was welcome. This place is an historic building and there are steep steps and no elevator. Another guest told me the basement hammam is good. Only here one night. Should I be I. Casablanca again I’ll stay here.

The location of the property is within the Riyad (old town). But the old town may have its charm, its also dirty and filthy. The view from the window is roofs of crumbling buildings that have files of filth on top. Not a place I will visit again.

Area was bustling, but Ryad 91 is a great authentic Moroccan oasis in the heart of the city. Quiet, accessible, genuine - room had everything. Bed and furnishings were comfortable. Mini-bar and climate control were perfect additions (especially the A/C)! Easy to navigate to the entrance within the medina.

It has a character. In the middle of the Medina, where cars can’t access.

We wanted somewhere easy to get to close the the Medina which had limited smoking and breakfast. Very helpful staff easy check in. Walking distance to marina shopping and some nice restaurants.

The hotel was in an excellent location inside the walls of the ancient medina. The room was spacious and clean with good AC. We did not get a chance to eat breakfast due to our early mornings.
Things to consider - At night it was sometimes noisy (street conversations or just motor bikes driving through the medina all night). Also, we found that the front of the hotel was locked with a storefront type of lowering gate. This was not a problem because the front clerk was available to open, but when we left early one morning and the clerk had to open it we wondered what would happen in the event of an emergency and people needed to get out.

The Ryad was probably the best part about our stay in Casablanca. Very beautiful property with unique architecture. The breakfast is served on the rooftop is good (bread, egg, olives, tea). Only issue was the bathroom is not insulated meaning everyone in main room can hear you when you are in there. And, personally, we didn’t like the Médina. It’s very chaotic and dirty -aggressive salesman, bad smells, weird things. But, if you like those kind of things then I’d definitely recommend this hotel.

The staff were lovely and helpful. It's just a block into the medina so quiet and away from traffic but only a few blocks from Casa Port train station. We walked to the station, and to the Hassan II Mosque. (about 30 minutes walking). As with all riads, the bathroom gets a bit musty as there are no windows and no ventilation. The courtyard was lovely as was the rooftop and breakfast was typical (breads and juice, etc). The service was great.
