Overall its a well priced no frills option with a great location!

The rooftop was soo wonderful to have right there! The room was no frills, smaller than the pictures made it out to be but had everything we needed and was clean. The location is also fantastic being so close to the Subway and right in SoHo. Its Also a block away from Russ and Daughters!

We had to reset the AC a few times, and the concierge kept odd hours, so we often had to call them instead. The hallway smelled really strongly of weed.

Just like on pictures, excellent location, would go again.

Just like on the pictures, had our own bathroom, everything was clean, location is excellent. Everything we needed (towels, coffee etc) was available on the c floor. Rooftop is cherry on top amazing!

Bit worn down, bathroom was a bit old, could use some new furniture like chair and more storage space but for the price excellent.

Good location and close to subway line but I would spend my money somewhere else next time.

The staff was friendly, especially Jasmine who checked us in. The location is great for its access to subway lines and for walking to shop in the surrounding neighborhoods.

I understand that this was a budget hotel but I would spend my money somewhere else next time. Our keypad for our room door was not working on several occasions (one being past 11:00 PM when we were desperately wanting to sleep). On one instance, the deadbolt on the electric keypad lock system was stuck while the door was open and we were unable to leave our room for over an hour as we did not want to leave the hotel with our room door open. The AC in our room was also not working and a hot day made our room temperature over 83F. The AC wasn't fixed until over 30 hours later which made for a difficult night's sleep. The bed was also extremely uncomfortable. In addition, the Wifi was very, very poor so much so that I used my cellular data and hotspot to use my devices. The staff had good intentions and were kind but the management of the maintenance of the rooms needs serious work.

Exactly what we expected.

The location was perfect. We didn't plan to spend much time in the room, so the no frills stay was fine by us.

I wish there was room for another chair.

Great Location - Self-Service Experience

Location is amazing, I couldn't be happier! area felt safe, near really cool shops, bars and restaurant and easy to walk everywhere! I will absolutely recommend it for this reason. Very quiet room and big enough for two people, a big window with natural light, a small desk and comfortable bed and good equipt bathroom. Roof terrace is amazing, really cool views of the city. and if you want to bring food from outside you can eat there or in the downstrais kitchen.

Before you book it, have in mind is more of a hostel not an hotel. You should know they don't do room service, so we had the same bedsheets and towels for a week. You have to empty the bin yourself and keep the room tidy, so it feels like an hostel experience. The reception is only open for some time during the day, but if you have any problem in the afternoon/evening there is nobody to help as is a kind of self-service hotel. I found out this during my stay and no before, so that was very confusing as they gave us the wrong room, then they changed the code of our room and my phone didn't work and that was little stressful until we managed to get a new code etc. There is a computer downstairs and I urgently needed to send a document but the computer didn't work and nobody could help.

Great location, but that's about it

The hotel is located in a convenient area for bars, restaurants and getting around the city. The WiFi worked. Bathroom supplies can be found in the communal area, I found that out on the last day.

I didn't like the room, it was a lot smaller than in the photos. The furniture was too small to use, so it was just in the way of the already limited space. Windows on the second floor were not private, so had the curtains down pretty much the whole time. Aircon didn't work and the blanket provided was ridiculously small in keeping with the size of the room. The room was outside the lift and the stairwell door slammed shut. The room was absolutely not soundproof and that should be removed from the description. Extra charge for cleaning services on top of the room price meant that the room was not cleaned or refreshed the week I was there. Code locks on doors were different, but I did not feel safe and secure.

Nice comfortable rooms

There is no breakfasts. Rooms are very small but nice and cosy. Roof top was great with beautiful view. Check in and out very comfortable

Fantastic

We love everything about it. It was a great experience for me and my girlfriend. I grew up in the Lower East Side Essex Street to be exact. But overall I give you guys a 10 everything was perfect. Looking forward to come back and stay at The Ridge ✌️

Good location The room and hotel are clean The bed was comfortable Nice rooftop

You must fill unfriendly online registration form prior to arrival, no front desk, all communication is done by email. The room (206) was very small with a huge bed, there was no place for luggage and getting around the room was difficult.

The location, in an interesting neighbourhood, less than half a block from the subway, was superb.

There was no staff on site.

Efficient, convenient, comfortable and cozy

I loved only needing a code to have access to both the building and my room. The seventh floor rooftop was nice as well.

The beds were fine, but seem a little old as they squeaked. Not a big deal though.

Nice Stay!

If you are familiar with airbnb then this is the hotel version of that. Someone was at the front desk when we checked in, the majority of the time no one will be upfront (which was fine with me). You still feel safe because there are two codes, one for the building and one for the room. I loved the art in the building and the amazing view in the 7th floor.

The rooms were small but that's to be expected in New York. I can understand how the noise outside can be a problem for some but we had no problem falling asleep. I just wish the wifi was better, other than that this was perfect for a quick vacation.

Disappointing

it was very close to the metro and had places to eat nearby. it had a number pad to enter the door so you didn’t need to use a key. that is it.

the staff was rude and the rooms were extremely small and the housekeeping wasn’t super helpful and they didn’t tell us about the fact we had to fill out a form before check in

Artwork throughout the Hotel was amazing, Room was small but nice, bathroom was great. The overall feel of the hotel was very pleasing. We were close to great fook and drink options for all meals. The hotel contacted me the day prior with all of the door codes and wifi connection information which made entry and check in a breeze.
