Accommodating staff, but too many botched basics to recommend

Staff were accommodating of requests. We asked for adjacent rooms on an elevator-accessible floor and this was provided. When we had trouble with the facilities - the bathroom door not locking, the dryer not fully drying our clothes - steps were taken to remedy the situation (e.g. refund on quarters to restart the dryer). The indoor pool above the lobby was novel and heated to a comfortable temperature. Location is within ~10 minutes walking distance of many local delicatessens and attractions (which is good, because parking in Jackson is a nightmare).

The beds weren't comfortable, the pillows were too thick even for side-sleeping, our bathroom door initially didn't lock (and after correction by maintenance, only locked when you threw your weight against the door to fully close it), the dryers in the laundry facility never fully dried our clothes and provided inconsistent drying time for the same payment, the toilet would refill its tank every 5 minutes, our double-queen room had an insufficient number of electrical outlets available, and the breakfasts were lackluster even by hotel standards with half of the offerings consistently appearing to be undercooked (possibly due to cooking instructions not taking the altitude into account).

The location to the Tetons and it was easy to walk around the town. The pool was great with a nice view.

The room was small and you walked directly into the sink when you came in the door. The bathroom was very small. While it wasn’t a bad stay at all, for almost $500 for one night, it was way overpriced. While the breakfast had many options, the quality of food was quite poor, but we were glad to have something.

Jackson hole is an awesome town with lots of fun things to do. Breakfast experience was one of the best ever for a hotel

Breakfast was incredible at hotel, great options and awesome dining area.

The rooms were not very nice for in comparison to how nice the dining and breakfast areas were. We did not get new towels on 2nd day and no one cleaned the rooms, changed the linens. Also our hotel door did not work very well and get stuck, you really had to push on it to get it open because the hotel latch was loose and got in the way. It was missing screws and was wobbly and caused the door to get stuck.

Easy and comfortable room

Breakfast was good. Room was ok.

Parking spaces were to small, it was to tight Bus tours congregating in dining hall after they finished eating was disruptive to me. They used it as a gathering place and total disregard to other travelers

Overpriced. Not worth the money. Would not stay again.

Property reception was nice. Rooms were tired and way overpriced for the condition. Loud in the night and morning. Not worth the cost.

The age of the rooms, noise and shower. There were also hairs in the shower, which were not mine.

The 49er Inn was comfortable and worked for our group of adults and children.

The included breakfast was great. The indoor pool, hot tub, and work out facilities were also wonderful. Our room was comfortable although the property could use a "refresh". We liked the location since we could walk to restaurants and shops.

It would be helpful to have each of the buildings in this complex marked with a large letter or number. It was initially difficult to find the room, and even more difficult to tell someone (such as a food delivery person, etc), where the room was located.

Great position, clean and comfortable.

The Motel is very well placed to walk anywhere in the old town. Breakfast was adequate and continually replenished. It is quit a large facility of several buildings - all with good off street parking.

The position was great for our needs. In among restaurants etc

The attitude of some staff. We were not told that Inn still had the policy of not cleaning rooms due to covid. It was left to the guest to find and read a small green card that was not with the Inns general info pack. When cleaning staff were approached for clean towels & a re supply of coffee & tea we were told we should have read the notice "if you can read". Says it all. Other Inns & hotels we have stayed in no longer follow this policy. It should be made clear at booking in so guests know what to do & expect.

Very good

Location was great, complimentary breakfast was very good, and we enjoyed the indoor pool and hot tub looking out at the mountains.

Our heater wasn't working properly and the maintenance man had to work on it twice. He was able to get it working.

i would consider other hotels before deciding on returning to this one.

the hotel is centrally located and is close to a lot of shopping and restraunts. its also easy to get to and out of from the main road. the room had a mini fridge, that actually worked. the breakfast was decent.

the room was really outdated. the bed was shot. it must have been20 years old. the walls are paper thin. the pictures of the hotel are misleading. i thought it was all interior corridors with modern rooms. actually half the rooms are motel style. seriously my room was motel 6 at twice the rate. the toilet seat was about to fall off. the room had a adjacent door to the room behind it and someone kept trying to come in. also parking was very tight. not a lot of room to manuver a larger vehicle.

Quite disappointing, mainly disappointed in the staff for their bad attitude and lack of caring

it was conveniently located in the middle of Jackson hole, exactly where I wanted to be.

so many things did not work from the safe to the door locks took us an hour and a half and we had to change rooms just to check in the tub did not work correctly. The pipes were banging and loud anytime anyone use water. and the staff could not be bothered to apologize for any inconveniences. Most of the time we were there guest laundry was not working. The hot tub was not even hot It was below body temperature. all in all this motel is rather disappointing. It is not very clean. We have a giant crack in the concrete ceiling that went all the way across the top of our heads above our beds a hole in the bathroom ceiling needs a major overhaul. Several million dollars need to be invested in it to bring it back up to where I should be.
