Very disappointed with our overall experience with The Anvil

The lobby was good for working and free coffee/tea

Unfortunately, the Anvil Hotel did not meet our expectations. Given the high price point, and the beautiful pictures on Google, we were expecting a beautiful boutique hotel with great amenities. However, when we walked into our room we were highly underwhelmed and disappointed. We were on the ground floor facing a parking lot with a decent amount of walking/car traffic. Because we had an AC unit in the window, the curtain could not come down all the way. When we asked staff to help out, they offered the solution of "hanging a towel" from the top of the window so that people could not peer in on us changing. The shower head was leaky and the bed was very uncomfortable. The staff also seemed quite indifferent to our needs. Additionally, the lobby offers free tea and coffee which is a great amenity, however, you have to wait in line for the staff to finish checking in customers and handling phone calls. There should be a self-service station. They have honey for sale at the counter and when I asked if I could add some honey to my tea they said I had to buy a whole jar.

Rooms were too cheap, including bathroom, beds. Lack of enough towels, toilet paper. On top of it, it was super costly( >500). IT IS A JOKE.

Room was small, no AC, no chairs or table, end boards on walkway outside of room were rotted, limited or no parking available,, dark room with poor lighting, only 2 outlets in room.

I had everything I needed and more in my room! the tap water tasted pretty good too.

i could hear a lot of sounds of people outside through my door when it was closed. i could hear people walking by very clearly.

Superb

The rooms are all super cute, the staff was all really friendly and helpful and we loved having the lobby space to hang out in. I also liked the amenities/mini bar options in the room and that they were all from local shops rather than typical name brand snacks.

The main thing for me was the bed was not the most comfortable (this may be a me problem though since I have chronic back issues). I just found it a bit hard for my taste but overall everything was nice.

Basic but perfect!

I chose the Delux room for more space so that both of our ski/snowboard bags and gears and luggages can fit. I was very happy with the size of the room, still a bit tight but comfortable for two people. I also like the Interior design, the shower and the chairs and table to use.

Reception could be better trained and friendlier. They are either unable to give answers about the area, public transportation system or they seem rude and indifferent. It made me always avoid the hotel lobby cos they made me so uncomfortable and unwelcoming. Not a vide any hotel want to provide

the walls between rooms were too thin so we could hear everything. and there were no pastries that we could buy for a quick breakfast.

If you are staying in Jackson do yourself a favor and stay here. you won’t regret it.

The nicest staff you can meet. The lobby and Mercantile store is the nicest Hotel lobby I e ever been to. The rooms are all finished to a high quality, Clean and well appointed. You should leave your car at the hotel as the town is close enough, and safe to walk.

the staff could have made it better. they weren’t very friendly and it felt like a bother to ask a question. They had headphones in and were on their phones a lot so just felt very odd to approach them.

Great location in town with cool finishes and a nice restaurant with amazing servers!

Service at the hotel was just ok. E.g. Instead of the staff bringing the iron to our room, they said we had to get it from the front desk. They also never texted us that our room was ready.

Exceptional

The room was lovely and the air conditioning helped during the hot couple days we stayed there. The shower felt great after our hikes and the location was great; really close to Jenny Lake and easy to get to and from the parks and the hotel. Plus the restaurant was amazing. Some of the best pasta ever and we'll definitely be returning the next time we visit.

Location

The room wasn't ready at check-in time when they said it would be, we had to wait extra before asking if another room was ready, which it was. We had a wedding to get to that night so the late check-in wasn't ideal. In the moment the staff wasn't too accommodating and there seemed to be no urgency to help out. The room was very small and expensive for what we paid. After confronting management, we did get a credit to Glorietta restaurant for the inconvenience for the check-in process which was nice. Overall experience was ok, not sure I'd stay there again.

LOVE the location, charm and comfort.

The price was jacked due to the 4th of July. If that was the common rate, it would have been too high. When we checked in it was apparent the staff was spent and had troubles keeping positive. Definitely a sign of the times

it worked for a last minute booking

property was in a great location right in heart of down town Jackson. walking distance to cowboy bar and all the shops. very cute decor and clean.

we had no clue there was no AC and had to sleep with window open and fan on. We were still burning up in our room even though we set thermostat on 50, the heat kept turning on. the dead bolt lock did not work. there was no parking at all. twice we had to park across the street in a free parking lot and walk to the hotel.
