Marriott yes. Charleston Marriott no

Restaurant/Bar area only open late afternoon/evening. Had to rebook rooms -?was told booking.com only reserved one room. Supposedly they had incorrect info. No changes were made even after I presented them info from booking.com. Everyone seemed to be ver limited in the info they had. Systems appeared to be outdated. No assistance in providing info @ their immediate vicinity- they’re in the historic district. Hotel was nice. Desk staff-very poor.

Train the desk staff. Not relatable/personal. Very robotic. If it wasn’t on their computer screen, it didn’t exist. No info @ activities in the area.

We were very pleased with everything.

The location was great for walking all over Charleston. We parked our car upon our arrival and never had to use it as everything was within walking distance. The staff was great. The bar in the hotel was very cozy and the bartenders did a great job.

Disappointing. Resulted in not wanting to go with Marriott again.

The breakfast option was a small kiosk with packaged items. Had to find option outside hotel. This impacted negatively our schedule. Thirty seven dollar valet only parking way too expensive.

The location was convenient to the historical sites that interested me. Only about 20 odd minutes from the airport. It was close to several restaurants and a variety of shopping options

Sometimes water pressure was low and caused issues with flushing toilets.

Pleasant

The property was close to downtown area.

We had three issues with the bathroom. 1. cleanliness of the bathroom 2. water wasn’t draining out of tub/shower 3. water dripped all night on our first night, enough that I heard it all night (I’m a light sleeper). After making calls about issues 2 & 3, they sent up a maintenance man who corrected both issues but he probably spent a total of 2 hours with us on our trip. All he needed was a bag and he would have been part of the family.

This hotel was great. It seems to be recently renovated and everything was very neat and clean. The staff was friendly, receptive, professional and efficient. One of the cleanest, nicest and well-staffed hotels I had stayed post-virus.

The hotel is in a good location.

The hotel is valet only which many of the hotels in the historic district are. However, I would expect much better service from the valet staff if I am going to pay 37.00 extra dollars for that service. We called down to the front desk multiple times to ask a question about the bistro downstairs and never could get anyone to answer the phone. When we finally did walk down to get our information the lady at the front desk was busy on her personal phone. Unless you have an EXTRA 360.00 on top of what you will pay for the room DO NOT STAY HERE. I have stayed at several hotels in the historic district and yes they put holds for incidentals which is understandable. HOWEVER, i have NEVER had almost 400 extra held on my account. We were in Charleston to do some Christmas shopping and this really was an inconvenience.

hotel was understaffed, the restaurant was closed, room wasn't ready until after 530 for a 4pm check in, room keys didn't work consistently, small pool

nice hotel, but be aware they allow dogs and the one next to us barked constantly

was within walking distance to all of downtown

the room we booked was next to a room with a barking dog. We chose to change rooms, but had to downgrade. I wouldn’t think a hotel this nice would allow dogs.
