Oakwood is a nice hotel, but some things were lacking

It's a beautiful hotel. Nice decor and atmosphere.

The pillows weren't very comfortable. Like most hotels, they have fluffy LOOKING pillows, but your head sinks right thru all that fluff. Breakfast wasn't very appealing. We ended up eating elsewhere all four days. Parking is a little far away... Especially when it's very cold. All of that green space could've been used for parking closer to the building.

The restaurant and access to fishing was nice. The room was comfortable.

They put us on the 1st floor which is fine. We took a vacation away to a new place to relax and for hours on Sat we had a wedding reception right outside our window with loud music. Feel we should of been notified of this or offered a different room.

A comfortable homey lakeside getaway with pleasant staff . Client Service Policieswhich seemed to be relying on outdated

clean, cheery colors, decor, lighting; helpful, friendly staff; reasonably priced tasty dinners in restaurant. Enjoyed Saturday night live music in restaurant.

No regular replacement of coffee, Kleenex, TP or removal of trash (it seemed like I was expected to pick up these items & drop off my trash ☹️) (Items were delivered to my room upon request)

Don't hesitate... STAY HERE!!

The staff made me feel like I was returning home- totally accommodating and helpful. The setting on Lake Wawasee is idyllic. I will return for a swim on their sandy beach! You cannot go wrong with Oakwood.

There was nothing that did not exceed my expectations.

We were looking for a couple of peaceful days on a lake. We got it. Grounds were nice. Had dinner at the hotel the first night & it was good. Breakfast left a lot to be desired.

Nice, clean place. Went to dinner at their on-site restaurant, and had a good experience all around. Cool location in small town. Had breakfast at a real nice little coffee/ breakfast place in town- very friendly place. Small town America!

We felt like we were putting them out by being there.

No Firewood for Fire Pits. No smart TVS. Had one smart TV in Lobby asked if I could add my Prime account to it for Thursday night football so me and guests could watch it. Told no that TV is not for guests. (was never used my whole stay). Oakwood resort was not about Guests or hospitality.
