Good location, good staff but feel unsafe.

The location is perfect (near the downtown and Little Tokyo) and the shared bathroom is clean and easy to use!

There was a foul smell in the room, much like marijuana, that seemed to be coming from the carpet. The location is also near the 'dangerous area'. The first night (12 am-1 am) I heard 5 gunshots, and a small explosion occurred downstairs the next afternoon. I smelled a pungent smell and saw thick smoke.

The price was good and the location is perfect since it centered the art's district.

I liked the location and the view. The staff was very friendly as well.

I was not too fond of the women's bathroom on the 4th floor. It wasn't as clean as it should have been. There was an old mat on the floor and I saw a lot of grime around the shower. It was hard to sleep as I heard people coming in and out of their rooms which was disturbing.

Good trip, good neighborhood, just a little noisy outside at night.

We had a convenient stay and enjoyed the Little Tokyo area. The daily cleaning services were great and it was nice to know the spaces were taken care of nicely. It was great to have A/C and heater amenities as one day was super rainy and chilly.

It was fairly loud at night outside which we could hear from our room. Folx were out late partying and shouting and such that kept us up a bit.

Good Price, OK Hotel, Bad Service, Awful Location

We got a couple room. The size of the room is adequate, the bed was big and the mattress was comfortable. The hotel is situated in walking distance to Little Tokyo Train Station and Union Station, a bit farther. So it's well connected. Additionally, also on the positive side there are really good restaurants on the neighborhood.

Although the staff was polite, their service was awful. When we arrived, we did not receive any information in regards to the organization of the hotel, with that we did not have the towels changed for three days. After the third day, we asked and the lady said that when we need towels changed, we should ask for it at the laundry room, which is not an issue, however we could have been informed of it. They never exchanged the bed sheets or pillowcases. The worst issue is that we precisely asked if there was any neighborhood that we should avoid. The staff member said: "No, in general you will be fine. There are a few homeless on Skid Row, but they won't bother you, specially if you avoid the late night". That advice is dangerously incorrect. Unfortunately, on our way back to the hotel we had to cross Skid Row, but guided by this advice we went through it. Please don't make the same mistake. It is an extremely dangerous neighborhood, composed of countless homeless installments with agitated drug users, actively doing drugs, fighting and doing their necessities in the open. Please do not downplay the importance of this and do not expose your family to this risk if you can avoid. I have been in favelas in Brazil that were not this dangerous. While I understand that the hotel is not responsible for the installment of homeless, it is responsible for the staff instructions.

Very friendly and hospitable staff, especially Masuma. After long flight when we arrived in morning she provide to us early check in 😊🙌 For this price excellent quality, comfortable beds, cleanliness, good location, many restaurants nearby.

Exlenet for youth or casual travelers

Excelent price x quality ratio, very confortable mattress, everything vas very clean, cleaned regularly, not far from centre nor Union station, corresponding to the description on Booking, Masuma at the reception was nice :-)

On your way downtown you have to pass by the infamous Skid Row with junkies and homelesses. But they can be found even right next to the city hall.

Comfy bed, no frills, good location

Comfortable firm bed! Great location in the Arts District. Easy to find street parking nearby. Found this hotel to stay in for the night after seeing a concert at the Moroccan and to avoid the storm at our campsite out in the desert. Shared bathrooms were clean and never in use by others when we were there.

Good value for the price. This was the cheapest hotel we could find near our concert venue for the night. Nothing fancy, but to be expected. For those concerned with mobility issues, this hotel requires stairs to access and doesn't have elevators.

Pleasant hotel in a great location Downtown LA

Staff are really pleasant and helpful, rooms are very clean, comfortable and have lots of room. Great location convenient to Union Station and airport shuttles, also lots of unique restaurants and cafes nearby. Quiet part of town.

All bathroom facilities are shared, but they are very clean and have all you need, so this isn't a major issue.

Best value and excellent location for LA

People working on the reception were pleasent. Nice and clean room with bed, fridge and chair. Shared bathroom -also very clean. Excellent location! Around 20-30min walking to Union Station and Little Tokyo. Many restaurants around. You could check in earlier than possible -Best value for LA !!!
