Although the location and size of the property was good the pictures are not a true representation of how clean the property was. The place was falling to bits, chairs very dirty and badly marked, blinds mouldy to list a few.

Lovely place, cozy and in a great location for walking to Ambleside, Rydal and the surrounding fells. It was a shame to find that the cottage was not cleaned properly before we arrived - very dusty, carpet not hoovered and the sofas are really grubby and smell really bad so not that pleasent to relax on after a long day in the fells. Also a strong smell of urine in the en-suite bathroom. There was also an issue with the hot water during our stay - the shower was only ever luke warm. Enjoyed our stay but probably would'nt stay again because of poor cleanliness and wanting a hot shower.

This was a great home base for us to explore the Lake District! We really liked the property and its location on the outskirts of town. The rental is the front section of the house as pictured, there are one or two other units on the back side. This was not a problem, but was not clear from the property description. Would be nice to have a lock box on property to not have to drive out of the way to pick up and drop off the key. Also would be nice to have a few more basic supplies in the kitchen like dish soap, paper towels, and laundry detergent.
