About this apartment rental
This 3 bedroom/2 bathroom condo is located in the ideal friendly family spot! Just 100 yards from the Mammoth Creek park, you can fish the creek, use the playground or picnic at the tables or large grassy area or enjoy the Mammoth Community Rec Zone or LA Kings Ice that offers a host of activities and year-round recreation opportunities. Just a short walk across the street and you are at Vons, shops, restaurants, and the movie theatre! The Chateau Blanc complex also offers a large outdoor swimming pool and jacuzzi. Everything you need to keep your little ones entertained. Inside the unit features floor to ceiling windows, wood-burning stove and vaulted ceilings. The full kitchen has stainless steel appliances and is fully stocked with everything needed to prepare family meals. The living room features a comfortable large sectional and large flat screen TV with DVD player, complimentary WiFi, and unobstructed views of the Sherwin mountains. The upper deck also offers a place to soak up the mountain views, enjoy the outdoor seating. The master bedroom has a queen bed. There is a home office space with workspace so you can work/school remotely. The second bedroom on the lower level has a queen bed with Smart TV, with the third bedroom featuring three twin beds, Smart TV. This condo sleeps a maximum of 7 people and comes with 2 outdoor parking spaces. Guests will be provided two parking passes. If more parking is required than what is allotted, feel free to call our office for alternative options. There are no stairs to this unit, two levels inside, and no smoking or pets are permitted. The Mammoth Rec Zone offers EV charging stations, and access to walking / biking paths around town. The red line shuttle runs on Chateau Road offering free shuttle access around town. The 3 bedrooms,2 bathrooms, kitchen were well equipped. The bed was comfortable. The living room was very spacious for hanging out. Note that that sauna doesn't exist, it was repurposed for storage. We used the Jacuzzi, but it was so heavily chlorinated that it discolored my swimsuit! The location is super convenient. Vons is almost right across. The bus station is super close and the buses are circling all the time.

The ONLY thing I didn’t love was the beds were not $3000 mattresses they were a little stiff for me but if it was my place Amazon has $300 memory foam gel ones that rival the $5K beds

Château blanc number 25 was cozy, well equipped, clean and in a great location, near many restaurants and grocery stores! Even though it is somewhat dated, it was exactly what we needed and comfortable, and we really enjoyed staying there and would recommend it for a group of up to seven people

We had a great time at this rental! The view of the mountains are great, lots of space for the 8 of us. My only concern is that the water tank is small so we had to take quick hot showers or waited in between. But overall a good stay for a big group. Close to everything and easily accessible.

Check in/check out was a breeze, just grab your keys and parking permit at the office, and drop off the keys at the drop off box at the same place. The office is only 2 minutes from the cabin, and there's a Vons right across the street which is a plus if you need to stock up any food/drinks/essentials. Plenty of food nearby as well. 10-15 minutes up to the mountain. The house was 2-story, the only down side is the kitchen and living room are located upstairs, so you need to climb up a stair to bring the food/drinks up. The kitchen, bath, and rooms are all fully equipped and very clean. There're three rooms and two bathrooms, so it's perfect size for a party of 8. We had 4 adults and 4 kids. Although there're two bathrooms,we would suggest not to take shower at the same time because hot water is not enough for two showers. So just take turn! We received wrong information in our email regarding to parking arrangement. It says "two assigned parking spots are located in a parking garage numbered #105"; however, we could not find any parking garage in the complex nor any numbered spots. We called the office immediately and figured out the information was incorrect. We just park in front of the house. Overall, the rental experience was better than what we expected. I would recommend this property!

We’ve been vacationing in Mammoth Lakes for 26 years and check in was quick and easy. The unit itself was a bit dated and had a musty odor as if it hadn’t been aired out. It was relatively clean minus some stains on the carpet. The upstairs rooms collect the heat of a the day and stay warm even with windows open, a fan would’ve been helpful. The refrigerator took a very long time to get cold enough to store our food. I chose the location due to its proximity to the park so I can get my grandson out there whenever possible but what I didn’t count on was the activities at the park after dark. It’s seems to be a hangout for some locals playing loud music and extremely loud conversations well in to the morning. We had to call authorities at 1:00 am on one occasion to help clear out the individuals and allow us to get some rest. I will not return to this unit.

This property needs upgrades but is comfortable for a few day stay. Many of the lights were not working in the bedrooms. Kitchen utensils and amenities need an update. Perfect location next to the park. Also within walking distance to Vons and movie theater.

We really enjoyed our stay here and would stay again. Mostly we loved the view, and we spent several hours one day just watching our kids play outside in the snow with a mountain view behind them. While the property was clean and well stocked, the furniture and carpets are pretty old and worn out which you cannot tell from the photos. The top bunk bed did not have a rail, which for my small children meant that none could sleep in it. Luckily we didn't need the 8th bed.

Stayed here for two nights with a group of 8 for a ski/snowboarding trip.This rental met all our expectations. It was in a very convenient location, close to the shuttle stops and Vons. The place was large, warm, and well furnished, and all 8 people slept comfortably. The kitchen had all the necessary pots/pans for cooking and plates/utensils for eating.All in all, we couldn't be happier with our stay.

We enjoyed a nice late Spring ski weekend in April 2016. The condo is literally behind the Stove parking lot with great windows that overlook the park and face the Sherwins and Mammoth Mountain. Wonderful views if that is your thing, but also so easy to walk to Vons, Mammoth Tavern, or a nice stroll on the McGee Creek path. I liked the balance of being located near the hustle and bustle of the town, but still enjoying the views. We walked to the park with our daughter several times, which was also nice. The layout of the condo is great and comfortably accommodated 6 adults. It could sleep more, but bathrooms might be a little tight since there are only 2. Kitchen is very well stocked with all the gadgets you would need and a few odd spices, etc. My only complaint is that the condo is a little dated -- while some updates have been made like the laminate wood flooring, the kitchen and bathrooms could definitely use a refresh. I also think the "cabiny" feel could be improved by taking down the old, dated paneling. Most of the furniture was very comfortable, but a few pieces could be inexpensively updated (coffee table, card table, sofa in sunroom) and the overall feel would be greatly improved. We had a great stay and would consider renting here again. If the suggested updates were made, we would definitely rent again.

INFESTED WITH BED BUGS
Overall would have been a fine stay, however this unit is infested with bed bugs. VRBO conveniently does not allow me to attach photos, but we have many photos and pictures of bed bug bites. It seems this is a recurring problem since a renter in January 2021 noted bed bugs in the same unit/same bed. This unit probably does not get properly cleaned and who knows if it has been chronically infested with bed bugs since last year. Definitely would not rent and risk it.

We love that the location was an end unit with a nice view of the park and the mountains. It was quiet and peaceful. The location is very close to Vons and other retail shops which is such a plus. Parking was perfect for two SUVs. Rooms were ample for 8. TV/Cable reception was great.
Furnitures need to be updated for sure. The only modern parts of the house were the TV, toaster and microwave. Dinnerware and cooking utensils are good.
BIG CON: The queen bed mattress on the first level room is definitely compromised. One member of our party slept on it and immediately got bug bites on her chest and shoulder! We have photo proof if the establishment requires it. This is something that needs to be addressed urgently. Hopefully this situation gets resolved the soonest as this is not how our family expected to end the trip with at all.

Cozy Place
The place is dated but exactly as described and in the photos. The oven didn't work but we were informed of this ahead of time. The heaters in the living room also didn't work but someone came to look at it soon after we called. We were a family of 7 (5 adults and 2 kids) and there were enough beds for everyone. All in all very cozy place and appropriately priced.
