love the vibe and style of this CCC hotel- fabulous public areas and cute almost cabin like rooms
not really a complaint but sounds travel from room to room floor to floor etc and it’s really rather overpriced in general but you’re on mt Hood in a famous building

Timberline is a outstanding property with regards to location. Easy access from Portland and great roads that get you there safely. The view is unbeatable, and the architecture is so unique.
I feel like the property is starting to show age and needs a bit of TLC. The sofas are showing where and the staff seems to lag and getting things tidied up around the great rooms where the fireplaces are located. The sink in my bathroom did not drain and my phone was missing a mouthpiece so when I tried calling the desk to get some assistance, they could not hear me speak
4.2
The Cascade Dining room was excellent. The food was amazing! The Staff is very friendly and helpful.
No A/C in rooms but windows open for breeze.
4.2
Beautifully maintained historic lodge on Mount Hood.
4.2
Very good. Excellent wait staff. Great view
Dinner was okay. My wife’s pasta meal was very salty and a little dry. The waiter apologized
4.2
Such a beautiful, historic hotel..staff is wonderful and the snowed in feeling was something never experienced before..amazing
4.2
The he historic setting the beautiful the caring staff and awesome bedding!
the food. it’s either so fancy it’s overpriced. there are not many vegetable or salad options. tired of eating fried food and also why not have a coffee stand or cart or more “healthy” food items at a more reasonable cost. it’s absurd that the one breakfast option at the lodge is a $25 buffet. years ago it was much different and more affordable.
4.2
The room was tiny, maybe the smallest I have ever been in. That was quite a surprise.
The room size

everything!! the history, the beautiful Great House lodge, wonderful cozy historic rooms- the staff is always amazing! we have been coming for 30 years. Mikey is great. we really feel like we are coming home when we visit each year. it is on of our most cherished spots and experiences anywhere❤️❄️
4.2
Dinner was excellent
Never told us ahead of time the pool/spa was closed.
4.2
Everything was superb. We will definitely be back soon. The staff was so helpful. I needed to plug my electric car in and they made it happen. The food was exceptional, our dinner and the buffet the next morning were great. We can wait to come back again
There wasn’t a thing that we didn’t like
4.2
I love the lodge, the history, the location! I also loved the window screen we found in the closet. So inventive!
The service in the bar area was super slow and it wasn’t busy. There was no signage about the pool being closed, no one mentioned it at the front desk. After getting our suits on and making our way to the pool, it was drained. Dry. Our room had not been deep cleaned in quite some time, there were dust bunnies in the bathroom fan and the open floor vent.
4.2
Fantastic famous hotel, nice mountain and forest decor, tasty food, hotel's history, good wifi (for being near the top of Mt Hood)
Room a bit small, front entry and parking lot appearance needs better aesthetics
4.2
The room was OK size, it was warm while we were staying there, so we ad our room door and window open when we were in the room.
Breakfast was fabulous. The lox, smoked salmon, and eggs were beautifully prepared and delicious.
our room was warm, too warm for me. And the power went out so we were unable to use the pool, sauna or hot tub, which we planned to use.
4.2
The staff was great. The dinner in the dining room was excellent! The location is beautiful.
Our room was so hot we were unable to sleep. There’s no air conditioning. 2 fans were provided, one was too full of dust to turn on, the other was broken. A kind housekeeper found us a new fan. In spite of both windows open and a fan, the room was miserably hot.
4.2
View was beautiful and restaurant was great
The hot tub was wonderful, but sadly couldn't enjoy the view while in it
4.2
Very well maintained timber and iron structure. Beautiful details. Food was delicious and service was top notch.
Nothing.
4.2
Everything!
His has been a property I have visited many times during my life and always wanted to stay.
It was a joy to sit by the fire and relax enjoying the fabulous view and lodge.
Nothing!
4.2
The ambiance
The bathroom in our guestroom was not cleaned thoroughly. There was a clump of black hair sitting on top of the shower drain and black hair stuck to the shower wall. The pillows had no support. It’s as if 3/4 of the filler was missing.
4.2
Tiny room and bath but considering age of lodge acceptable. Beautiful old Lodge.
Shelf in bathroom
4.2
The location..... the fact that it was an historic site.
Very expensive...... room was cold and had to use the extra heater. Although it was a novelty at first to have your window covered by snow..... it did restrict any view of the mountain and surrounding scenery. We were on the 2nd floor!.
4.2
Historic, beautiful, lodge. Loved the scenery, fire places, location, and beds were incredibly comfortable.
Showers took a while to heat up, power went out, room was hot at night, people left their stuff in shared bathrooms, walls paper thin.
4.2
The stuff could be more attentive, The heating didn't work and their solution was a small noisy heater.
4.2
Historic.
A larger shelf in the bathroom. A tiny table on both sides of the bed.
4.2
Wonderful location and beautiful architecture. Skiing is great and easy to access.
Pool was cold and thermostat in room not working. Hot tub was warm though.
4.2
We had to call for the room to be cleaned. Only dropped off towels, after calling.
4.2
To go to, and stay at that lodge was part of my bucket list. The food was excellent, but very short on choice.
All the noise
4.2
The location was amazing. We were able to hike right out the door up to Mt. Hood. The staff was so nice and helpful.
4.2
During challenging weather and with a full house, the staff continued to be available, cheerful and helpful.
4.2
Controlling the other loud guests after "Quiet Time." Someone should check the sleeping areas for loud guests. Sound travels in the hotel and several other guests were very loud late into the night.
