We loved the location! Everything we needed was there. Clean property. Working hot tub. Showers kept up. We loved all the turkeys. The deck was a beautiful scene.
My only complaint: The description of people/beds was a bit deceiving as we booked for 18 guests but did not have that many beds. There were floor cushions to use as beds, but we did have to grab an air bed as well. Re-reading the description, I think it is stated that there are not 18 beds - but it’s also easy to confuse when the post says up to 18 guests.

We cannot say enough how beautiful and clean and accommodating the Pine Cone was for my daughter’s wedding weekend! Perfect place for rehearsal supper for family and wedding party Friday night and then the bridal party got ready on Saturday morning with the perfect lighting and the view of the river was spectacular! The hosts were so so helpful with every aspect and so friendly. Thank you for helping make my little girls day so perfect!

We had a good experience. Our group was 5 adults and 4 children. We had plenty of space. Kitchen was well stocked with pots and pans. We stayed at this property 2021 and we also had a good experience. My one complaint is the online pictures were the pictures from 2021. When we arrived in 2022 the furniture was new and it was all white. We had 4 children and I was not expecting that for a lake experience. Need to update online pictures.

The house exceeded our expectations. The layout is perfect for multiple family generation events. Rec Room downstairs for the kids, formal area for older folks, a big common area and huge dining room. There were furniture upgrades from the photos on line. An A+ property.

Great sized home for a large family! Very comfortable with a distant lake view. Due to dry conditions heat and some front yard construction enjoying out side was a bit of a challenge for the kids. Over all would definitely stay here again. Lisa the owner was very accommodating.

Our family had great time! Close to water to put boat in. Large kitchen to cook. Lots of sleeping places. Loved the deck! Would go back again!

Inaccurate advertising and noise level
The listing we viewed on vrbo.com showed bunk beds but there's actually a trundle + twin bed in the family room. The listing mentioned a ping pong table which was not in the home. The listing also mentioned access to lawn games which were not available or in the garage which we did not have access to. The neighbors directly behind and doing some construction on their property and worked most of the weekend. Really only heard when on the beautiful deck but certainly affected the relaxation level. Great access to town & L & C Rec area

Great place for a gathering of friends!
We booked the Pinecone house for a small bachelorette party. The property was nice, clean, and clearly cared for. The view of the river from the house was spectacular and the back deck was a great addition. The house comfortably sleeps 8, but can easily sleep 10-13 when people share beds and sleep on couches. Our only complaint was that the oven was broken and not useable which we were not previously made aware of. Yankton is a cute town with fun places to dine/drink + the river/lake is incredible!

Great place to stay!!!
We had a wonderful week here! It was so fun watching the deer and wild turkeys!! Great view of the lake! Great yard for us to play softball games!! We didn’t find any yard games as the listing suggested, but we brought some of our own games, so it worked out! Everything was well stocked! The kids loved the candy stash!! 😊 It was so wonderful to have an air-conditioned place to hang out with our friends during this hot week!! Highly recommend!!

Bachelorette Party!
This VRBO was perfect for our group! We had a blast and the house was so nice and clean! We saw lots of wildlife, got to enjoy the patio and fireplace, and we all slept comfortably. Lisa was very helpful and was accommodating if we needed anything. Which we didn’t! It was a perfect place to stay and I would stay at the VRBO again!

Cousins Get Together
Our party of nine enjoyed the openness of this home. There were many large areas where we were able to sit and talk especially on the deck. The view was amazing! And of course the large kitchen island held lots of great food. We would rent this house again!

Updated home with fantastic view of Missouri River
If family needs separated bedrooms or sleeping spaces because of snoring versus rooms separated related to privacy this place leans toward the first. Parents of adult children with spouses/significant others have 3 private bedrooms but many places to sleep in this house.
So beautiful is the dining area with full view of country spaces with wildlife showing, and river view; huge area to do outside games.
The host was very accommodating when bad weather was predicted.
The pet accessibility was nice, as it is hard to find places to leave dogs, so having them with was nice.

Great get away
This place was perfect for us. We had a great time and the place was awesome. The house was well stocked with very nice furniture and had everything we needed for cooking. The home owners were also very nice as well. Definitely somewhere we will be returning to in the future.

Thanksgiving Celebration
This was a perfect location for a family gathering for Thanksgiving. Everything was as pictured and described. Very clean. Plenty of room for our Thanksgiving dinner. The views were spectacular. I would certainly stay there again and would give it my highest recommendation.

Easter family gathering
This property worked super well for our gathering of 14 adults ranging from ages 80 to 17. We were able to enjoy the outdoor area as well as the indoor area. The owners were super easy to communicate with throughout our stay! It was a very positive stay!

Family vacation
Our stay at this house was wonderful. There was 12 of us, there is plenty of room for everyone to have space to themselves. The kitchen is stocked with lots of amenities. There was more than enough tableware for our large group. We especially liked the large dining table that allowed us to have meals together. The deck overlooks the lake and provides a great view. We were able to watch deer and turkeys roam in the adjacent fields. We all enjoyed our stay here and hope to be back sometime.

Beautiful Oasis
Our family is coming off of a wonderful stay in Yankton, thanks to this lovely home and host. Lisa made us feel welcome before we had even arrived, was very responsive to questions and provided helpful information for our stay. The home is impeccably clean with a well stocked kitchen, the most comfortable beds and nice linens. The entire living area offers panoramic views of Lewis & Clark Lake. This property met all of our needs and included many special touch points that added an air of relaxation and hospitality to our weekend.

Excellent location with outstanding hosts for a quick getaway for friends/family
We stayed here for the weekend celebrating a birthday. Lisa was very easy to communicate with and the property was very spacious and homely. We had no trouble finding where things were around the place and it was very well organized and well stocked. Address was a little confusing at first to find. Getting in to the house was a breeze, deadbolt with code is on the door but given the location, leaving our door unlocked felt ok and safe. Lisa was more than happy to welcome us and be available to answer all questions if needed. Apparently they also have a boat for use during the season but unfortunately it had just been pulled out during our stay. Definitely recommend this property if you are a group of 10-14 people as it will easily accommodate everyone. Look forward to staying here again soon!!

The Pinecone is a FABULOUS vacation spot!
We had a wonderful time at the Pinecone. Can't say enough about the property and the owners, Lisa and Kelly. The photos do not deceive! What a view of Lewis & Clark. Just a 5 minute drive to the marina. We had 9 guests - ages 5 - 61. There was room for everyone. This will be an annual vacation for us!

Amazing Stay
If wanting to stay around Lewis and Clark Lake this is the perfect place to stay, close enough to sit on the deck in the morning and evening and see the lake and all of the wonderful wildlife and lake is only a couple miles away, but far enough away from all of the traffic. This home is well equip with everything you will need for your stay, if it is just your family or a family gathering, this home fits the bill. We have vacationed to this home the last two years and have enjoyed our stays very much and Lisa is great to work with. I highly recommend this property.

Beautiful home and great owners
We rented the house for 4 days with 12 family members and the house was perfect. The owners were very attentive, quickly responded to our inquiries, and were very accommodating. The house was clean, spacious, up to date, and had an amazing view. We were really impressed on how well stocked the house was on everything. We spent a lot of time on the wrap around porch with the view and lots of seating. The kids really enjoyed having access to the beautiful pool. I would highly recommend this house to families or large groups.
