The house was a perfect spot to stay for a family wedding. Close to the beach, near the shops. Even rented bikes and rode around the the island. Highly recommend this property!

Mermaids Folly was the perfect house for our group of 7. The back room with the windows was so lovely and relaxing. Everything was clean and the house had everything we needed. It was also a perfect location - easy walk to downtown Folly and the beach. We rented golf carts to drive around Folly too - highly recommend!

This home met the needs of us 4 adult travelers hoping to explore the Folly Beach area. We were happy to have a fully stocked kitchen and a clean, orderly home to relax in for 4 nights. The home is situated on a quiet street just a short walk to the beach or town. Would recommend for families or small groups seeking a peaceful stay!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay a couple of weeks ago. The house was very clean and had a great layout for families to gather. Good location, just a little bit challenging w parking. But overall a wonderful experience.

This home checked all the boxes for our week getaway..very spacious and clean! The sun room was perfect for morning coffee and relaxing at night. Such an easy walk to restaurants and the beach. On top of all that it’s a short drive to experience everything Charleston has to offer! 10 out of 10

We loved Mermaid's Folly. It was clean and bright, and as described. Lots of spaces to hang out and eat. The kitchen was good for preparing meals, lots of spices already there when we arrived. The coffee setup was good (there was even a coffee grinder!). The beds were very comfortable. Lots of DVDs and tons of books to choose from. The street was very peaceful and pleasant, especially quiet even on New Year's Eve. It's a bit of a walk to the main street where the restaurants are, about 10 minutes with no sidewalks, but not too bad. Supermarkets within 5-10 minute drive. If we return to the area, we would stay here again.

Our family really enjoyed the living space and location of Mermaid’s Folly. Everything was as advertised and minor issues were quickly addressed. We will certainly be back.

This property is comfortable and spacious--with lots of different sitting areas which make it possible for guests to gather together and to also find privacy if desired. It feels homey and welcoming.

mermaids Folly is a great place to stay. It is located on a quiet back street - amid beautiful palms and live oaks draped in spanish moss. there are no houses behind so there is loads of privacy. It is a s easy walk to the beach on tree covered quiet streets and walk way. when you sit in the back sunroom it feels as if you in a quiet treehouse The home is gorgeously decorated and has high-quality appliances linens and dishes .

I stayed at Mermaids Folly this past weekend with 6 of my friends for my bachelorette weekend! The house was everything we could have wanted! Quiet area, about a half mile to the downtown area (bars, restaurants, etc.) so perfect location! We ended up renting a golf cart since some of our other party was staying closer to the water, which was definitely worth it. We enjoyed sitting in the living room at night which had plenty of cozy sofas and chairs, then would hang out of the back porch in the morning for coffee, we had an amazing time, we will go back!

Great house, great location! The house was spotlessly clean, beautifully decorated and - best of all - an easy short walk to the beach and center of town. We had plenty of room to spread out and enjoyed the multiple decks. This was our first time in Folly Beach and we would absolutely stay here again!

Place was great and clean

This place is adorable! Its spacious and comfortable. Walk to the beach is manageable with the amazing cart they provide! Its also walking distance to downtown. Would recommend this place to anyone!

We had a great time staying at Mermaids Folly. We loved the sunroom and enjoyed that we were able to walk to the beach and to the main street in Folly beach. The beds were cozy and comfy and everything was as expected!

Overall, a pretty nice house that had everything we needed. It is about 3 blocks to the beach, an easy walk for adults but a little long for young children. The only complaint is the mattress in the master bedroom .. I slept in a hole and it hurt my back… it needs to be replaced. Other than that, everything was fine!

Brought a large extended family group into SC for a family wedding and we wanted a place that would relax everyone and would be able to fit everyone comfortably…and Mermaid’s Folly delivered! The house was beautiful, spotless, located on a quiet street and was well within walking distance to both the beachfront/fun local eateries. Everyone in our larger group couldn’t stop talking about how much they loved the trip and how they’d love to come back again!

I wanted to take my mom, who was diagnosed a year ago with stage 4 pancreatic cancer, on a nice vacation to charleston. I searched everywhere in the area and decided to book here at folly beach. Wow were we impressed. We're so used to the busy beaches up north, that this was a nice change of pace. The house was beautiful and well layed out. The beds were comfortable and everyone fell in love with the sun room. The beach, retail stores, bars/restaurants were well within walking distance. I definitely want to return with my family and children in the future. Highly recommend

We loved everything about this house. It was the perfect size for our family (6 adults) as we each had our own room, but wasn’t so big that we had to go up and down stairs or feel overwhelmed with space. The outdoor porches/decks were amazing and the sunroom was our favorite area. We used the gas grill to cookout and cooked all but one meal at home. The kitchen was well supplied. Walking to the beach and downtown was easy in this quiet neighborhood.

Everyone had a bedroom and the dining and living room space was enough for everyone to fit. Kitchen was tight but had everything we needed to cook dinner each night. Communication with property manager was quick and attentive. Great place!!!

The house was beautiful and perfect for our group. The hosts were clear and accessible. Loved the location and experience.

The property was well-maintained and comfortable. The kitchen was recently renovated and modern, though the plumbing and electricity in the bathrooms were a little old. Beach gear was minimal, so I'd advise looking into the rental companies the owners recommend. We enjoyed all the porches and the house is an easy walk to the beach. All in all, it was exactly what we needed for our long weekend and we enjoyed our time in Folly.

We had the absolute best time this weekend! The house was stunning and in the perfect location. So close to the beach, restaurant, coffee shops and bars! I would stay here 10 times over!!!

Our family has fallen in love with Folly Beach and look forward to our next trip. This house was in a great location and a short walk to everything we wanted to do.

The pictures don’t do the house justice. It’s incredibly clean and well decorated, very well stocked with all the necessities and you can’t beat the location. We rented a golf cart from Folly Beach Golf Carts and had the best time exploring the area and hitting the beach. Definitely visit Crosby’s for fresh seafood! Very nice and clean would stay again

Our family of 6 had a fabulous stay at Mermaid’s Folly! The house was exactly as advertised and the communication was regular before and during our stay. The location was very convenient for easy access to the beach and dining options. We will definitely stay again if we return to the area.

We loved the short walk to the stores and the beach. We had an issue with the property during our stay and they had quick communication to try to fix the situation.

A very special place. Plenty of room for 4 adults and 3 young one’s. We loved how the backyard would light up from below to show the beautiful trees and plants at night. It felt like a tree house. Squirrels would play in the trees and run about during the day. The enclosed windowed porch was warm enough to sit on in Dec and have a cocktail at night while the kiddo’s were sleeping. Loved the neighborhood. It’s more year round residential. The homes were very nice and so were the neighbors! We’d definitely come back and stay here. Very walkable with nice restaurants all within walking distance. Safe too. Enjoy yourselves like we did. Thank you Sarah and Steven!!

Great host

This is a great house in the perfect location on Folly! I did a lot of research and this house was an excellent price and value. In terms of location, you are both a short walk from the beach and to the town area where there are restaurants, bars and Bert's grocery store. It's so nice to be able to walk to all these things and not worry about driving/parking/etc. And the house is just far enough away from these things that it is very quiet at night - super peaceful. I wish we'd had more time to take advantage of all the different areas to hang out - an enclosed porch, an outdoor grilling area, and a front outdoor seating area with adirondack chairs. We were there 4 nights for a reunion of 4 friends, and the 4 bedrooms were perfect. If you're going to Folly, I recommend Mermaid's Folly as a great place to stay!
