We had fantastic stay at the wonderful Pen-y-Bryn. Our lovely hosts Brian and Pat were so welcoming and helpful. The property is so spacious, very comfortable and spotlessly clean. We had everything we needed and more. The binoculars were a great addition to make the most of those amazing views and the houseplants and lovely soft furnishings made it a real home from home. Looe is a great place to explore and we mostly enjoyed our trip to Looe Island. Well worth a visit. Thank you for our memorable stay Brian and Pat. We hope to return one day.

We (my family of 4) had such a nice stay in Pat and Brian’s wonderful holiday home. The house, and view, were even better than the photos online. The house, especially the kitchen, has everything you need to run a home for a family. Pat and Brian met us upon arrival to show us around the house and answer any questions we had. They were both so kind and helpful, so much so that one of the days we were there I had my washing drying on the line and it started to rain, I was down in town of course when it happened, but came home and they had not only taken all my washing in from the rain - but also dried and folded it for me!! Such lovely people!! The house is situated close to down with a direct path located right next to it, very convenient. I will definitely be staying there again on my next visit to Looe.

Absolutely wonderful location looking over Looe, the rivers and the island. Very clean and comfortable and a balcony in the sun. Easy to get to the coastal path for walks and visited three houses within easy reach; Cotehele, Mt Edgecombe and Antony House. Looe has a fine beach and plenty of places to eat and see. Hosts very welcoming and friendly - a great place to stay

Pat and Brian made us feel right at home from the moment we booked to the moment we checked out. Without being overly fussy, they were extremely helpful and knowledgeable. The location was perfect on the East side of Looe (with all the shops and cafes). Thank you guys very much!

A great place to stay !

Wonderful place with everything you would need for your holiday. fantastic views over Looe, free parking space outside the front door, and close to the town. Barbican hill is a bit of a steep walk up and down, but plenty of taxis available, and local busses to get you back up to the top. Excellent directions from Brian to find the place t avoid driving through Looe. Cracking place and hope to return soon.

All the other reviews with regard to location/cleanliness/comfort - home from home are absolutely true. A delightful stay with a few niggles! Stayed in mid September and we were a little chilly first thing in the morning. The property relies on the owners controlling the heating. Portable heaters would be beneficial to guests who like it cosy. Make sure you take the provided map with you and turn LEFT at the spa shop! The directions provided (which are taken from an on line route planner) are very misleading for the very last part of the journey and sadly the owner lacked a little patience when we had to phone him several times to guide us to the property, but don't let this put you off staying!

Photos didn't do this justice. It's a wonderful location, very stylish décor, and incredibly clean. Pat and Brian were very welcoming also. Hope to return on our next visit to Cornwall.

We looked for a place that was well equipped, comfortable and had an outside area where we could sit with a drink and enjoy the views and Pen-y-Bryn ticked all the boxes perfectly. There were two of us staying but the property is spacious enough for four with a large lounge, two bedrooms and an excellent, well equipped kitchen. Outside there is a patio overlooking the river with views out to sea which was exactly what we were looking for. There is also private parking within the garden. The accommodation is in a quiet residential area high above Looe and there are steep hills from the town to the property but well worth the effort for the views. Brian and Pat we're friendly and helpful hosts. They met us on our arrival and were on hand if we wanted advice whilst not being intrusive. I would highly recommend Pen-y-Bryn and we will certainly stay again when we visit Looe.

This property is immaculately clean and perfectly equipped. Waking up to the views from the property just makes it a dream from the minute you make your coffee in the morning...thank you so much .

What a great location, looking overlooking the bay & river. Lots of places to eat. The beach was only 20 minutes walk. Very peaceful just what we was looking for. Lovely owners, couldn't have asked for anything more. Would stay again.

We had a fantastic break. The accommodation was immaculately clean, well appointed and very comfortable. Brian and Pat were friendly and helpful but not intrusive and all in all we could not have wished for a better property in which to stay and cannot recommend it highly enough.

This is a great base to either stay in Looe as it's close to town, or explore Cornwall as it has parking. Good size rooms, very clean, although the a bit dated but this would not stop us coming again.

From the moment we arrived to the moment we left we enjoyed an amazing time in Looe and Bryan and Pats property was perfect in every way. Exceptionally clean, spacious and wonderful views of the sea and harbour. We spent the May half term in Pen-y-Bryn with our 2 teenage sons - the location was perfect for us, close to relatives which was the main purpose for our visit, but with the added bonus of panoramic views to die for...plenty of time was spent on the balcony looking down into Looe harbour, the river, out to sea or even just reading a book - it was so peaceful & relaxing. Some amazing sunsets to be seen & we were particularly lucky with the weather. The hosts were really friendly & welcoming & the accommodation was clean, comfortable & had everything that we needed. We particularly appreciated the pint of milk in the fridge after a longer than usual drive down to Cornwall on the bank holiday weekend, so we could sit down straight away, have a cuppa & simply relax! The large drive way was also a bonus - it meant that we could park our car right by the front door, so un-packing & packing was quick & easy. With the birds eye panoramic views comes a very steep hill to walk back up from Looe, but so worth it!

The property is well maintained, fully equipped for all needs and personally supervised by the owners who live below it. The location is high on the side of the valley with excellent views over the the harbour.
