L’emplacement , la place de parking privé très pratique , la gentillesse de la propriétaire

La propreté , les sols étaient sales , de la poussière , on a du refaire la vaisselle ( casseroles très sales avec de la nourriture collée ), les plaques de cuisson étaient « grasses », poils d’animaux dans le canapé lit La literie était mauvaise, pas confortable

Great location so near to Boulangerie, bars and restaurants. Private secure parking 5 mins walk away. Punctual meeting on arrival to give us the key etc and a very helpful hostess. Good heaters in the rooms as being out of season they were necessary.

The cleanliness was an issue. The shower was very old, grouting disgustingly grubby, the sink plug mechanism didn’t work so the water had to drain away very very slowly and I had to clean the sink and tap before we could use it. The coffee machine was greasy and grubby which I cleaned but didn’t use, the toaster and various appliances were covered in dust, the extractor hood was so filthy and dusty it could not have been used for years, oven and hob need replacing, kettle exterior had to be cleaned before it could be used. Dried up pizza or bread pieces left in the fridge which I had to clean thoroughly before using it. The tiled floor throughout was full of hairs and dust and a babies feeding bottle under the bed. I paid extra for the bedding and towel bundle but although clean were poor quality and for our 11 day stay we only had one lot of bedding and only two pillowcases. It was impossible for us to launder the bedding ourselves as there was only a stand clothes drier.

The apartment was extremely well located for visiting both the city centre and the surrounding areas such as Ile de Re, Ile d'Oleron, etc.. It was a definite bonus to have allocated parking in a secure multi-storey car park, 2 minutes walk from the apartment. It was only a short walk from the apartment to reach the port and the old town where there was an abundance of restaurants and bars available to suit all tastes and budgets. The apartment was a good size and was in a good condition. All the amenities that you could ask for in a holiday let were available. The owners were very friendly and helpful.

Nothing bad to report.

Plenty of space. All facilities were fine and the owner put my bicylce in a secure garage. Kitchen has everything you need and there is lots of space for up to 4 people. Quiet street and easy 5 minute walk to Vieiux Port. La Rochelle has dozens of cafes and restaurants within 5 - 10 minute walk.
