We are a group of close friends for over 30 yrs and live in different states, we catch up every year at different locations and this stay has surpassed all others. The weather was beautiful, the views stunning and so clost everything we needed

Tony and Patty make the experience seamless and stress free. Their home is amazing and it is now going to be a yearly thing for the 7 of us ladies after spending the weekend there in 2023 and just last weekend. You could be anywhere. The views are incredible and the house is so beautiful you don’t want to leave so we don’t. We check in and simply stay for the duration. We have already booked for next year.

The home was absolutely beautiful. Unfortunately my husband and daughter fell ill so our lovely break was spent at the pharmacy and trying to get my 8 year olds fever down. We are sad we never got to enjoy the beauty of the area or the house but hope to be back another time. Thank you for having us - Carrie

My friends and I enjoyed spending time in the house and the views from every room were magical. It was very clean and owners responsive. Good setup although it would be good if coffee pods were provided as couldn’t find the ground coffee for the coffee plunger and we’d brought the wrong size pods. Would love to return again.

Malindi truly is a magical place. Well appointed, luxurious and views to die for. We are 9 high school girlfriends who share a special weekend together every year, Malindi has exceeded all our expectations. Our hosts were wonderful too, quick to respond to queries and very accommodating.

Seven family members plus our grandson stayed together to celebrate a milestone birthday in the family. The property is truly amazing with soaring ceilings and floor to ceiling glass overlooking Lake Baroon. A magical place to reconnect with family and nature, with local attractions a short drive away.

Thank you Tony and Patty for sharing your beautiful home. Everything was so beautiful and perfect for our annual catch up. It was so lovely to see everyone's faces as they walked into the lounge and just took in the scale of the windows and the view across the lake. We loved the home, the spa bath, the kitchen, the gardens and of course the stunning gardens and birds that came to feed each day. Thank you - we would happily return to stay again.

The property was absolutely beautiful. The online photos certainly do not do it justice. Tony and Patty were so helpful and accommodating throughout and took all the stress out of the accommodation aspect of our wedding. We will definitely be returning for another stay so that we can further enjoy this magnificent property that captures the very essence of the Hinterlands. If we could provide more than 5 stars we would!

We were blown away with the view on arrival! Visable from every room, the whole family felt like they had the master suite! Walking into the lounge over the fish pond was a surprise that has our three year old grandson asking his parents to cut some floorboards and install one at their place. We roamed the secret gardens, played games and sipped coffee on the deck. In one word...perfect

The property was stunning. From the moment we turned onto the driveway, to walking in the front door and having the fish pop up to say hi, it was all perfect. Sitting on the front balcony each morning and watching the sun rise while the fog burns off the lake was something I could do every day. Tony and Patty were always available for us to ask questions leading up to our stay, and have set up the perfect house for any occasion. My friend's birthday getaway couldn't have been better! Tony and Patty were incredible hosts. We were looking for somewhere secluded to spend a few nights for a short getaway with friends and this place did not disapoint! The kitchen was well stocked, the house provided plenty of space for us to relax and the views were absolutely spectacular. I'd definitely recommend staying and would stay again.

Magic is the word
This house is an incredible place that perfectly frames the beauty of the hinterland.
Our family get together (with ages from 2, 12 to 72) was a great success, we had big family cook ups and also spaces for separate groups to play independently.
The weather was rainy the whole time, which wasn't a problem as there as plenty of activities and space indoors, and the area is just as magic cloaked in mist as it is in sunshine.
My only observation is that (as with any beautiful things) one needs to keep a close eye on toddlers!
The hosts are incredibly accommodating and go above & beyond to smooth your stay. It's the second time we've been, and I'd love to go again one day!

We all had a great weekend away at Magical Malindi! The property offers a large group the ability to stay together whilst still having their own space. The location is also very close to all the action in Montville and Maleny, would book again.

Architectural gem situated in forest setting with lake views. Very comfortable and spacious. Suits those who want to do forest walks or just chill out and look at the views. Plenty of shopping nearby. Highly recommend.

Amazing position amongst the trees
Our party of 8 celebrated a birthday in this beautiful, open, light-filled house. It was very spacious, well equipped and had plenty of room for everyone to have their own space to. The sunny balcony was perfect for our birthday lunch.
It was a touch chilly in the evenings - perhaps we could have used the fireplace.
Overall we all really enjoyed our stay in this amazing house.

The most stunning stay.
The house itself is immaculate, clean and incredible. The hosts were so communicative and made sure our stay was fantastic. This was the perfect place for myself and my bridal party to get ready for my big day and the views were absolutely stunning.

Perfect venue for family getaway
Breathtaking views of mist on the mountains, beautiful chirping birdlife and landscaped gardens. Family splashing in the lap pool, dinner cooking in the open plan kitchen. Card games on the table. Alfresco dining on the veranda. Spacious room for everyone to move and comfy beds. Very well equipped with many extras. Unique architecture with open fish pond under the main entrance stairwell- though needed to be extra vigilant to supervise little ones. We would certainly recommend this to friends and would love to stay again.
