First off, this is no luxury home., rather a tract home stuffed with furniture to the point of obstructing normal movement. We were 16 people and depended on the listing of kid beds in every bedroom. None were found, leaving us with 5 beds for 16 people. Other deceptions: jacuzzi (none functioning) sauna (wedged into a corner of the upstairs loft so the door couldn’t be opened) kids games and beach items (all unusable. We had to buy beach items and TP and a coffee maker). The out doors was generally a mess, although the swing worked. That became a moot point when we discovered a mature rattle snake camped 10 feet from the back door!! To summarize,, this property was poorly cleaned, poorly maintained, and poorly supplied. I feel this property was falsely represented and not worth half of what we payed

We had issues with a/c and refrigeration that we could not wait for repairs on. We were traveling with 5 children, 4 and under. The second floor was 82 degrees when we arrived and showed no efforts to cool after 5 hours. The filter for the a/c unit in the ceiling appeared to be black, probably at least a part of the problem. The kitchen refrigerator was at 65 degrees. The owner told me to turn it off for 15 minutes and turn it back on. Again, this does not work when you are traveling with a group like ours. We needed the unit to be ready when we arrived! We had arrived with groceries for several days for a large group. There were two extra small refrigerators in the dining room which made me suspect that the owner knew he had an issue although he maintained that they were for extra drinks. Problem is, they made the dining room unusable which also didn't work for our large group. You could not pull a chair out because of the refrigerators in the room. There were Christmas decorations on the banisister. In July. And also outside in the patio area. Enough said. Quite odd. Not just white twinkling lights, garland with poinsettias and ribbon. The outside was filthy with dead plants/debris everywhere. Most people in CA have a gardener. It is clear this property did not. The inside was also dirty with crumbs on the stained kitchen chair pads. There were dead plants all over inside the house as well, in pots. There were no towels in any of the bathrooms. When we inquired about this, we were told to look in the laundry room. The dryer was STUFFED with towels. Again, not what you expect to have to do when arriving at a vacation home. There were also sheets in the washer on timed start. Overall, the home was hot, dirty and did not have a working refrigerator in the kitchen. Try to live with that for a large group for a week. The furniture layouts are odd, in front of fireplaces, etc. That, I will admit, is apparent in the photos, but what is not is the cobwebs, the general poor upkeep of this property, the dead plants, the lack of A/C and a working refrigerator. We left and had to find other lodging for our group. I am still waiting for VRBO to credit my stay. It is wholly unacceptable for them to expect us to give them 24 hours to repair the items we found upon arrival. I have sent pictures to VRBO with no response. VRBO, you'd better check out this property before allowing this owner to rent to others again.

The place is incredible. Hands down the best value-to-quality venue I've ever stayed at and I've been to more than a few. The photos are good, but they just don't do it justice. We all found the property delightful. The house had been recently remodeled with dark hardwood flooring in all the rooms upstairs/downstairs & stairs and it was perfectly clean. The furnishings are modern, beds are very confortable, stylistic and practical. Plentiful couches to relax on, a huge TV to enjoy, a granite kitchen, 5 bed, 5 1/2 baths, each room with private Bath and sauna/fitness upstairs, WIFI, two wooden dining table which easily seats 8 people each and Subzero Fridge. The whole stay was comfortable and fun. The house is close to amazing restaurants and bars at Pacific Highland Plaza, Del Mar plaza within 10 min drive. The neighborhood was serene, no loud noises or distractions. Quite frankly, if you want location, luxury, style, comfort and fun, then don't bother looking anywhere else, you just won't find it. This house is beautiful! My family and I had an amazing time here! Also, there was so much kids equipment in the back yard! It was like having their own park! Moreover, the owner was extremely nice and responsive! Absolutely loved our stay! Will definitely stay here again!!!

This is a comfortable, well-supplied, kid-friendly home, situated in a very nice area with a nearby park and convenient shopping (Trader Joe’s, Rite Aid, several restaurants, etc.). Easy access to the I-5 to travel south to sites in San Diego or north to Legoland. We were a party of 8 adults and 5 young children and the home was spacious enough for us all to hang out and dine comfortably. The kids especially enjoyed the playroom and the backyard. We stayed over Christmas and into the new year and were pleasantly surprised by the festive holiday decorations both inside and outside the house. The owner met us for check-in and provided us with pertinent info about the house, as well as the area. We had a great time there and would definitely stay there again.
