Nicely appointed, plenty of room for 8 adults, 3 teens and 2 toddlers. We really enjoyed the back deck. It was nice having the downstairs for the teens. It is close to all we needed and had plenty of dishes and cooking utensils. We get together in various places once a year and this was probably the best houses we have stayed in as far as the layout goes and the cleanliness.

We booked this trip as a family reunion. Some family joined us from NY and some family from Florida. We had an incredible time. The home is set up perfectly for families and children. My one year old and her two cousins (2 and 4) loved the play room downstairs. Each family had their own bathroom when they visited which was very convenient. We loved being able to lounge in two separate living rooms, and the patio was so comfortable. The only negative thing was the garbage pickup. Throughout the week, we had a lot of family visiting, BBQ’s, dirty diapers, etc. There were also a lot of sugar ants in the kitchen. These minor inconveniences made for slight annoyances but nothing the view can’t fix. Watching the sunset each night was the most incredible sight.

The house had a nook for every member of our family. The kids enjoyed the yard while the adults overlooked their activities from the upper deck. The kitchen was well equipped. We had an issue with the air conditioner and the property manager sent someone very quickly after we called. We are already looking to book next year!

We had two families from Indians and three families from South Carolina meet up to spend time together. House was perfect! Big, clean and spacious. Outdoor area is amazing, the views are fantastic! We definitely enjoyed our time together ;)

We chose this house because it was close to our parent's home in Murphy, NC, but large enough to accommodate our entire family. House was spacious and clean and location was perfect. Many of our family commented it was the best view they'd ever seen in a rental cabin and we captured some of most beautiful sunsets from that back porch. Lots of basketball, cornhole and football played in the back yard and tons of memories made over the long weekend.

The house was perfect for a girls trip to play bridge, shop, eat and relax. The home is well-equipped, the beds were very comfortable and there was plenty of room. I highly recommend this place for a vacation with friends or family.

A beautiful huge house with a lot of interactive spaces. Very clean throughout. Better views on-site than online pictures. Convenient to grocery store, restaurants, lake and mountains, etc. Friendly and helpful management team. We enjoy stayed there every moment! Sure, we will be back!

Great house. Plenty of room for everyone and your not on top of everyone. Loved the covered deck. We hung out there every evening after a long day of exploring.

When we arrived two of the toilets had the flushing handles missing ... with 14 people, we needed all four of the toilets working. I called the property manager, and she called her handyman. He was picking up parts to fix them. He was a very pleasant man and took care of the issue quickly. The furniture was a little worn and not as comfortable as we expected. Spiders, centipedes, and ants were an issue, but that is to be expected for the location. The ice maker in the refrigerator had a block of frozen ice in it. so, we purchased ice to use. The house and refrigerator both took a while to cool down, but once they did, it was good. We made the most of our trip and enjoyed our time together in a house big enough to accommodate all of us!

Beautiful property in a great location. I would definitely consider renting this place again if I am ever in the area.

This calm secluded place was amazing to stay at. The town of Hiawassee is little and perfect for a quiet get away. We actually stayed here for our wedding weekend with a few family members and a few friends. The floor plan is amazing for giving everyone their own space. We had one issue with one of the doors being hard to close and lock and property manager was awesome to work with and highly responsive. Overall an incredible place! Highly recommend!

If you have a big family and want to relax and have fun and enjoy nature. I reccomend renting this property. Very peaceful, clean, fully furnished, kids has a playing section. Property also has board games, family games. But the view of the mountain and the lake and just overall of the whole property is Beautiful and breath taking. Definitely planning to come back for the summer of 2022. Gnome sweet Gnome gonna miss you lol.

This home was like a home away from home, but better. It had everything we needed for a weeks stay with family. Everyone from the 6 year to the 57 year old that was with us enjoyed themselves. The location was convent to other areas like Helen and some nearby winerys. We will be returning and recommend this 100%

The house is so much more beautiful in person. The backyard was a beautiful scene for our outdoor movie night,the firepit was perfect for our stores, and the view was breathless. I have nothing negative to say about this house because it had it all.

This house literally has it all. The listing doesn't even begin to accurately describe the house. We thought the pictures made it look somewhat dingy- its not. Not even a little. The whole purpose of our trip was to bake Christmas cookies in the mountains. We brought everything, but it turned out the house had everything we would have needed, including a Kitchen Aid mixer! Even better, the whole house was decorated for Christmas! We traveled with an infant and toddler. The playroom was such a hit. The house also has a pack n play (the provided sheet was for a crib mattress, not a pack n play), a bouncy seat/swing combo and a play mat. The management team is awesome. One of the toilet seats was broken and the management company came out the same day to fix it. The only frustration we had (frustration is probably a strong word) was the checkout process. There are a bunch of conflicting pieces of information about what to set the thermostats at and when I texted the number they gave to say I had left, I got a somewhat rude response asking who I was, so I'm guessing that's no longer part of the check out process, but the instructions haven't been updated. In summary, we will 100% be staying again. This house is amazing!

We take a yearly cabin trip for a group of friends to play board games all weekend. The was the perfect get-away for us!. Plenty of room and very clean. Our only complaint was that part of the house had no heat and it was not communicated to us. The lack of heat in those rooms were not an issue as we were supplied with excellent space heaters. We just wish we would have know ahead of time that it might be an issue.

Everything in this Hiawassee home was great. There was 6 dear friends exploring the north Georgia Mountains, and rack of us had plenty of room in this large house. We played card games and ate dinner on the beautiful side porch. We really enjoyed building z campfire and roasting marshmallows and sharing funny stories. The location was perfect for our day trips

Great place for a family vacation. My wife and I were there with our daughter’s family from NC and my son’s family from FL. We had 6 adults and 4 kids ( ages 3-8), with plenty of room to spare. The house was awesome, we spent most of our time on the large deck. The weather was great only rained once. We really had an fantastic vacation with the entire family and would recommend this home to anyone looking for a great place to stay, with a large family

A group of us went to Georgia for the wedding of one of our best friends and we could not believe how lucky we got finding this home! There is plenty of room to sleep and hangout both inside and outside. Checkin/out was super easy and hassle free. The location was convenient for everywhere we needed to go. Kitchen was well stocked with cooking supplies & the blackstone griddle was awesome to cook on!! We all agreed that if we ever visit the area again wed love to stay at Gnome Sweet Gnome again!

Well supplied home with luxury linens and towels, updated appliances, and washer/dryer. The only thing missing were kitchen dish cloths. The deck and covered terrace were wonderful but disappointed that the trees blocked the view of the lake.

Great home especially the patio area. Clean and spacious with everything you need. Great views and sunsets!
