Beautifully furnished home, very convenient, attentive owner and assistant. Our flight got cancelled and we were able to return and stay an extra day. Very accommodating! We loved our stay.

The location, the house itself and the garden.

Hidden gem in the center of Punta Delgada with a lovely garden in the backside. We liked evrything, you feel like at home since you enter the house. Thanks for the welcome basket and the delicious pinapple cake. Would stay here again.

The room on street side could be a little loud for some people.

Don't be fooled by the charming photos and make the same mistake we did by booking this "hotel". This place is unfit to be advertised as a tourist accommodation.

Within an hour after checking in to the accommodations I started wheezing. I have asthma induced by very specific triggers, mold and/or cat dander. I had to leave the premises immediately to avoid ending up in the hospital and ruining my trip. Sure, the photos look charming, but the property was not as advertised and is unfit to be listed as a hotel IMHO. It was in decay, moldy, smelled of cat urine and had cockroaches. Three of which the property manager killed on the way out, who then proceeded to hand us a can of cockroach spray for the others that were to arrive. To add insult to injury, neither the property nor Booking.com made any accommodations or attempt to reconcile the reservation whatsoever. Extremely disappointed in Booking.com's customer service. We have been traveling in Portugal for 5 weeks and have had nothing but delightful accommodations so far. We have stayed in 4 hotels throughout the Azores and none of them had cockroaches or an environment to trigger an asthma attack. Unacceptable.

noisy - dogs and cats all night - didn’t sleep well secondary to street sounds - loud cars and drunk people late at night . several cockroaches in house .

Really nice and warm welcome (thank you so much for the pineapple cake !) The house is really spacious with nice decorations. Convenient to have a garden in the center. 10 minutes by walk from docks.

The uniqueness of the property. The beautiful furniture and decoration. The position. Fascinated by the history.

We loved everything, but as there were only two of us, a small table to eat/ put drinks on would have been good.

Fantastic place to live and relax after sightseeing. Felt like home from the very start. Extraordinary and definitely worth the money
