Als je in Palenque verblijft, doe dit dan echt hier! Het is fantastisch om te zien hoe de vrijwilligers zich inspannen voor de geredde apen. En het is uniek om dit van dichtbij te mogen meemaken. Daarnaast zijn de bungalows luxer dan de foto’s tonen, dit was een fijne verrassing. Super goede bedden, erg genoten!

This place was amazing! In terms of accomodation it could be better, but if you look at as on a monkey and other animal sanctuary, which offers to stay overnight and spend time in nature, it is a perfect place. The owner was very nice, she rescues monkeys, cats and dogs, which you can find running happily around the whole property. There were 2 sweet cats waiting in front of our room every time. At night the room is nicely cold, you can hear only peaceful sounds of nature. Breakfast was amazing. We also met very nice people there, this is such a lovely, friendly place! It is also very close to the archeologic zone!

The accomodation is kind of “eco style” I would say. So no hot water in shower, high humidity in the room, not a hotel-like feeling. But it has its vibe and it is actually amazing! The road to the property is very steep and bumpy, better if you have an SUV. These are not complaints, just be prepared for that!

C’est un petit havre de paix où nous avons séjourné entre amis. Adriana et son équipe sont adorables. La chambre était propre et nettoyé chaque jour. Le petit déjeuner est copieux, très bon. Il faut précisé qu’il y a le respect de l’animal et ce n’est pas de l’animal tourisme. À vous de respecter les singes, et de ne pas les considérer comme des peluches. Ils font leur vie. Il y a une dizaine de chiens, je pense que c’est bien de le préciser. Adriana est serviable, et réponds à vos questions sans hésiter. Elle vous donne de bons conseils. Elle parle anglais et espagnol. On a adoré notre séjour.

Parfois, les chiens étaient très présents et bruyants. Si vous n’êtes pas à l’aise, cela peut être un problème. Pour le reste, je n’ai rien à dire.

Loved this place because of all the animals, they were there to welcome you every time you stepped out of the room. The encounters with the monkeys were absolutely amazing. Above that Adriana was so helpful, she helped us arranging transport and getting us food when all restaurants were closed in the area. Would definitely stay here again

We had a beautiful stay in a little paradise. Everything was great! The rooms are nice and clean. There is great breakfast and the host Adriana is really nice and helpful. All this while you’re surrounded by lovely nature and animals - dogs, cats and even monkeys. (If you don’t like being around animals this is the wrong place for you) You’ll have an unforgettable stay here!

These convenient accommodations are subsidizing the howler monkey rescue project of Adriana. At day time the "Saraguatos" are roaming freely on the same property and can get very curious of any new arrivals ;-) hence you might have some very unique encounters with those gorgeous animals. This plus it's proximity to the archeological zone make this the best accommodation option in Palenque! Oh, I forgot to mention the delicious and vast breakfast.

If you're looking for a place to stay in Palenque, stay here! And stay for a few nights, because Adriana's bungalows are located in a peaceful jungle garden where you can relax and just enjoy the green surrounding. The rooms are spotless clean and the showers have warm water with good water pressure. All tours and activities are easy to do from here - the ruins are just a 10 mins bus ride away, as well as Palenque center. The included breakfast is fresh and plentiful. Last but not least, Adriana is a very attentive and helpful host, who gave us a very homely feeling during our stay. We spent a wonderful time at Susurros and would come back anytime!

Note that you should be animal friendly, because the animals (monkeys, dogs, cats) at the property like to come close. We were fine with it, but just keep that in mind.

Beautiful place with comfortable rooms, down a dirt road on the route between the town and the ruins. (You can walk to town in about 30 minutes, and take a colectivo to the ruins). The owner is a biologist and rescues animals. She had great recommendations for us (eg a walking tour in the forest) and helped us to organize transportation to the airport in Villahermosa. We really appreciated everything and enjoyed our stay there. We would come again.

We appreciated the beautiful surroundings as well as learning about the rehabilitation of the monkeys in their sanctuary. It was exciting to be in such close proximity to the monkeys. We also enjoyed making meals in the wonderfully equipped outdoor kitchen. Additionally, the hostess was very kind and gave us great ideas for things to visit in the area.

My wife and I stayed 5 nights. The location is perfect, close to town and the Palenque archeological ruins. The owner of the property has a monkey rehabilitation project on site. It was interesting and fun to observe the work they were doing with the monkeys. This is one of the most beautiful areas of Mexico. We heard howler monkeys in the jungle around us at dusk every night. It was magical and we hope to return for a visit at some point in the future.

location in the jungle, atmosphere, the host is an amazing kind woman passionate about rescuing animals and preserving the environment. there are two excellent restaurants (Monteverde and El Paraiso) less than five minutes walking distance and a cafe/ bar with live music three minutes away. It’s on the way to the park.

This place is so special. The room was super comfortable and quiet with a fridge and hot shower. The garden is quiet and peaceful. Adriana is so welcoming. Best of all, staying here helps support the rescue monkeys who share the property.

Perfect and quiet location at the edge of the jungle, with lots of animals (both domestic and wild). A tasty breakfast is included which we took under the attentive supervision of two young howler monkeys.

Everything was perfect.

Large room, comfortable bed, very clean, excellent breakfast and entertaining monkeys. The breakfast comprised fruit, yoghurt, sweet bread, eggs of choice and good coffee. The best stay so far on this trip.

We liked everything: the location in the jungle, the perfect- super clean and enormous room with hot water and amenities, the excellent breakfast, the kindness of Adriana (she even drove us to the ADO bus station). It is perfect to wake up early in the morning and hear the sounds of the wild animals in the jungle and the birds around. We also found a great pizzeria just a few steps from this place. But what can we say about her sanctuary project!!! So many beautiful pets (cats-dogs) and wild animals (monkeys) that she saves from the streets and make them feel love and peace. This was the best part of our trip and we are so sad that we choose to stay just for one night. Thank you from the bottom of our heart!!!!

Amazing!!! The location, with its gorgeous garden and all the wild life sounds, but most of all the animals! The lovely monkeys (and other animals, pet dogs and cats), that the host takes care of within het sanctuary/rescue project! The rooms are spacious and well equipped (good AC and even a big fridge). Another high point is the rich and fresh breakfast! I would recommend this stay to anyone that loves animals and the nature (of gorgeous Chiapas, Mexico)

extremely good and beautiful

Adriana has a project of rescuing small animals, educating them and then reinserting them in the nature when they are grown up. She started with Howler Monkeys and she now has different species. The rooms might not be the most luxurious but the situation in the middle of the jungle circled by animals and particularly monkeys bring you in another world. We have had an amazing stay in this little paradise.

The road to the residence is quite difficult but not a matter when you see how all the rest was perfect.

most friendly, caring and helpful staff we met so far - felt like family. in the middle of nature with lots of plants, trees and animals - we loved the sweet, little monkeys! adriana and her team are doing such a great work by taking care of orphaned baby monkeys! adrianas place was the BEST place we have been in mexico- would definitely stay there again and would recommend it to everyone who loves the sound of nature and animals. it’s close to the ruins and also close to town - if you like walking like us you only need 15-25mins to walk to the centre. the room is super clean, spacious and we had a really good sleep. as we are backpackers we also had to make laundry more often and adriana let us use the washing machine for free! she is definitely the best! also the breakfast was delicious and filling for the whole day! the coffee was superb - she also got me soy milk! we had some issues with the bus tickets and one girl from her team drove us to the bus station to help us changing the tickets. THANK YOU again for everything! already miss this magical place!
