We really had a good time here. The only thing that bothered us on first coming in was the smell of mouth balls, but you got used to it and only noticed on your way in and out. The house was payed out nice and the pool was clean and the right temp. The kids had a great time. We fell in love with the round room. It had enough setting for all of us, and we talked, played games, and read in this room a lot! It was just so pretty. Sarah our host was so kind. A minor issue and she helped us with it, no problems. Would recommend, it does have something for everyone, and is close to a small grocery.

Had a great weekend. We would definitely rent again.

Nice location, nice property and house was nicely furnished. Served our group well as a base for our college reunion. Overall very nice. The deck could use some cleaning and the outdoor cushions were not usable though.

I chose this location for the amount of family (from near & far) it could hold that would be attending the celebration of life for my Mom and the remainder of the weekend as a family reunion. The location was better than expected. We were able to spend the long weekend together catching up. The location is tucked away & great for the kids to play outside without having to worry about them getting hit by a car, etc. The large grassy area was perfect for our family games of corn hole, working with some of the younger kids in baseball. & throwing the football around. The pool was an added bonus that the kids & adults loved. The kitchen had plenty of room for multiple people preparing meals together & dishes that helped when feeding a large group. The large dining room was perfect for hosting the reception after the celebration at the church. Each room had its own bathroom that was so helpful when that amount of people were trying to get ready. However, the spiral staircase to the third floor is a little narrow. So if you have someone in your party that has difficulties, have them sleep on the second floor. Over all great stay & would recommend.

Very large space where our entire family was able to spread out. The heated pool and great room were perfect for gathering and relaxing....and there were a lot of pool toys and life jackets. We were able to host the rehearsal dinner in the great room. The kitchen was well stocked with pots, pans, plates, utensils, spices, coffee, etc... and the extra fridge/freezer in the great room was very handy. We will be back to host any family holiday gatherings! Thanks Sarah!

I am the supervisor of a department of 15 and we have been wanting to have a work retreat since 2020. After searching for a location to host at least 15 of us for a planned dinner event, and also giving the option for as many of us to stay overnight as wanted to, Hidden Ariel Resort was perfect for us!! The ability to spread out in the large back room was perfect. We cooked and displayed enough food for an army, utilizing a lot of the fully-stocked kitchen items. We even had enough room to set up a makeshift karaoke stage, and it was quiet enough/sound blocked that those who went to bed early upstairs were not disturbed by the semi-pro vocalists downstairs. ;) We had a blast. Having read the full listing and amenities, we knew heading into the weekend there was no internet nor cable/satellite. That was fine by us! Two of us brought our Verizon hotspots just in case the internet was needed. And our phones (most on Verizon) had lower bars than the big cities, but still worked perfectly fine to do what was needed to be done to keep in touch with home and others. The only downfall? We didn’t get a chance to use the pool! We just ran out of time, and that is our own fault for not making pool time a priority! All in all: We will be back! We have all agreed that we will be booking our next work retreat here, and we are already looking forward to it and trying to pin down the dates now. 👍

My extended family stayed at this property for 3 nights the week after Christmas. For full transparency, I was satisfied enough with the house. It definitely had its drawbacks, such as the overpowering mothball smell of the 3rd floor (impossible to sleep without the windows open, and caused concerning burning in nose and throat), lack of wifi (Not listed on listing, but was listed as available on the confirmation), and the lack of clear water in the pool, but it was not enough to affect my overall enjoyment, nor my children's. However, my inlaws were a different story. They were very dissatisfied with the overall condition of the property, and if you are staying with people who are on the pickier side, this may be one to avoid. Concerns as follows: Non working smoke detectors (either out of batteries or non-functioning) and a lack of co detectors. Concerns about Lights dimming on and off. Heavy mildew smell and noticeable black mold in the pool area. Some showers had mold issues as well. Unsafe placement of dehumidifier in the pool area, and wire exposed from where it was being closed in the door. Black soot around the perimeter of the room vents (leading to CO concerns about no detectors). Additionally the gutters were overflowing and walkways outside had loose stones making for dangerous conditions for elderly guests. Other non-safety concerns; Master bedroom on the 2 floor had some kind of rodent living behind the wall that was scratching and making noise early in the morning and late in the evening (making many sleepless hours). The carpet is stained and in dire need of cleaning throughout the house. We've stayed in a fair amount of VRBO's and similar and we get it. It's tough to make updates when something is making good money and staying occupied, but there are a lot of concerns with this property, and I don't think it's too many steps away from generating some real disappointment. Book with caution, it's possible to have an acceptable stay here, but only if you have fairly permissive standars.

Lovely place to getaway from everything. Plenty of space, well-stocked kitchen, and the pool was great. Wifi/internet is spotty at best- bring your own DVDs for any tv entertainment. Outdoor space looked great as well and we're looking forward to staying again when it's warmer.

We spent a lot of time in the pool. You do not have to get used to the water as it is kept a very nice temperature. The house was clean and comfortable. Cooking Thanksgiving dinner was very easy in the kitchen as it has pretty much all you need for preparing food. Having four bathrooms all with showers is great also. We had a great time and we would consider renting this house again.

This was out second time at this property and the highlight is the indoor pool. The kids loved it. There is also so much room for them to run and play that they were exhausted at the end of the day. The house itself needs some TLC. Some of the bricks on the front entry way were loose and a fall risk. Oven makes a terrible noise when its in use. Just little things but should be updated for the prime rate. We did have to contact owner/manager for an issue with the pool and she answered immediately and was out within the hour. She returned later that day to make sure things were working properly. Again, a great place for a family get a way. We had another enjoyable stay and everyone wants to return!

We very much enjoyed our weekend, and the kids really liked the pool and firepit! I will say, the WIFI did not work at all while we were there, which was a bit frustrating.

Our experience was a fun filled, relaxing visit. The location was great for us. The outdoors are beautiful. Mosquito repellent is a must though, as with any wooded/nature area. The pool was the hit for our family. The amenities were well stocked throughout. Will definitely consider staying here again! Thank you for sharing your home with us!

The house and property worked petfect for us. Enough bedrooms and bathrooms, beautiful property to explore, the large gathering room made eating and playing games alot of fun, OH and the pool is awesome!!!!

The perfect close to home getaway for us. The property is only 90 min from our home but you feel so far away and secluded, which is amazing and exactly what we love. Having a pool to yourselves is amazing and even when the weather doesn't cooperate allows you to still have fun. I love that they have fans there for people like us who like to listen to them while we fall asleep. Every other place we end up lugging ours there. They even had a pack and play which was awesome. This was our second stay and we have already looked at the calendar and are.hooing to get back before the end of the year.

My husband did not care for pools so he was the only one really affected by no tv. Also, we could not find any games as advertized, so take your own. The kitchen was fully equipped and meal prep was a cinch. We very much appreciated how coffee, teas, and supplies like tp, paper towel, soaps, kitchen wraps and trash bags were provided That is rarely the case at most rentals. We also appreciated the ample amount of towels provided. The setting in the woods allowed us to enjoy nature while dining.

Very pleased with our stay. The pool is amazing!! Kitchen is well stocked with pots, pans, silverware etc which made cooking a breeze. We will be booking again for sure!!

We had an amazing time during our stay. Our party consisted of 3 couples and 8 kids. We swam and played games all weekend. Everyone had a great time and would definitely come back.

I'm so sad to see every weekend is booked up..My granddaughter, whom I really booked this for was so excited to swim & got a cold and they couldn't come. Me and my other 2 adult kids had a great time however. The only issues I had was the refrigerator seems to be going out..didn't keep things very cold at all..and not having wifi. Other than that it was amazing...still amazing ..was just kinda worried about the food going bad. Haha..Im hoping someone cancels a weekend so I might be able to bring her finally

The property was better than expected. Simply lovely. The kitchen had everything. The indoor pool was amazing! My husband and I typically travel around our Anniversary. Due to Covid those plans were scrapped. I was desperate for a pool and lucked up on this property. Our kids and grandbaby came for a day visit which made this the most wonderful mini vacay for our family.

We stayed here 5 days over Labor Day weekend and had such an incredible time, we are hoping to return again next year! In our party of 17 we had newborns all the way up to grandparents, and everyone had a blast! Like the other reviews state, the pool was the main attraction for sure. We enjoyed walks and bike rides up the nearly 1/2 mile-long scenic winding driveway. We were pleased to find a pack-n-play and box fan in our bedroom closet, along with tons of extra blankets and pillows. We loved the fact that our bedroom had a dozen outlets, which we always need with a newborn (sound machine, video monitor, night light, etc). The only issue was the A/C stopped working one day. We opened the windows and were not uncomfortable, but we messaged the owner and her maintenance man came over and resolved it right away. Overall, it was a spacious clean property and we just stayed in the whole time. Had to run to the local IGA once for supplies, but this is a great place to stay year round!

Our combined family of 6 adults and 3 kids had a great week! The pool was so much fun!--warm and well-supplied with pool floats and all sizes of kid life jackets, though we had brought our own too. The house has a wonderful large room and we had fun arranging the tables for crafts, yoga, and meals. The octagonal room has a huge comfy couch and lovely lighting and relaxing place for reading. and we enjoyed the piano too. The house and bathrooms were impeccably clean, and well-stocked with amenities including spices, coffee & tea, paper towels and the like. Manager was friendly and quick to reply to any messages/questions. We loved walking the expansive property and playing games on the lawn. We all agreed that the week was too short and wished for a few more days; we hope to return again sometime! Thank you, Sarah & family!

Great property! Indoor heated pool was highlight for the grandkids. Had to call property manager once and response was quick and issue was resolved. Prior renter took key home and there was no key in lockbox when I arrived. Manager was already in process of getting new key made and she had door open so we were able to get in despite not having a key. Wondeful get away during these trying times. Will definitely be back

Such a beautiful home and property. It was perfect for our extended family get away with many different ages of kids. The home was enormous and very clean. The kitchen was perfect for our multiple families cooking at the same time. It was stocked with everything we needed to cook meals from hand mixers, dishes, pots & pans, silverware, utensils, soaps, coffee, just about anything we needed was already there. The pool was fantastic, warm and all kinds of pool toys and life jackets for the kids. There were toys in the house for the kids too. A train table with cars and some legos. The location was secluded for privacy, but close enough to things that we could order pizza for delivery on our first night arriving. There are two of the bedrooms that must be accessed by the spiral staircase, which is definitely tricky for little kids, but it is a unique feature to the house for those of us that had no trouble getting up it. The owners were kind, helpful, and responded quickly to all of our questions. We would definitely come back here again!
