This Riad is absolutely gorgeous. State of the art appliances ,very tastefully designed and we had the whole place to ourselves!!
The manager Mohamed was extremely helpful and responded immediately to our every doubt . Breakfast prepared by him and Fatima was scrumptious and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Chefchoune .
WiFi and lighting in the property could be improved but it didn’t affect the quality of our stay, so no complaints really!

This is what Morocco is supposed to be like. I was a little apprehensive booking this property due to the limited number of reviews on the internet, but I’m happy to report that it absolutely exceeded my expectations. If you’re looking for a premium experience for an overnight in Chefchouen, I can’t recommend it enough.
History & Architecture: The star of the show here is the architecture of the property itself. The house is a carefully renovated Riad that was originally constructed some 400 years ago, and has been faithfully restored with beautiful Moroccan tile work, hand-painted ceilings, and tasteful historical decorations and art. In structure, it is a typical Riad, with three levels surrounding an open-air central courtyard (though with a retractable glass ceiling). Multiple terraces provide plenty of open-air space and a cute marble fountain in the center. In short, this property perfectly exhibits an ideal version of what Moroccan architecture should be like.
The house/Riad: was recently renovated to a standard similar to what you’d find in Western Europe or North America. Everything works, is well put together, and is scrupulously clean.
Service and Breakfast: Mr. Mohamed, the house manager, was a pleasant gentleman who let us into the property, made our party a small afternoon Moroccan tea, and showed us around the property. In the morning, along with his colleague, he made us a lovely local breakfast consisting of several different types of Moroccan pancakes, spreads, jams, eggs, tea, and coffee. The entire experience had a great sense of place and was very high quality too. One of the things that truly set this property apart was the exceptional service provided by Mr. Mohamed. After I checked out and left, he noticed that I had accidentally left my shoes behind. Despite the fact that I was already 2.5 hours away, he went out of his way to deliver them to me.

The house was big and beautiful, the location was good and convenient. The staff were nice and prepared breakfast for us everyday, also welcome us to use eggs and water in the house. Response from staff was quick, for example when short circuit occur, he came as soon as possible to deal it.
The hairdryer was odd and not functioning. The shower was not hot enough and maintain steady temperature

Lalla Ghayta was a dream villa to live in - 6 stars if we could give! The property, which is neatly tucked into the streets of Chefchaouen, was spacious, clean and beautifully ornate. There is a rich history within the unique dwelling that you can learn more about upon arrival, which made us proud to have lived in there, even just briefly.
There's everything you need in there - a kitchen, laundry, terraces, aircon and multiple living spaces - it is a villa afterall. There's even a vintage piano which we thoroughly enjoyed playing.
Shoutout to Maamoun for being a great villa manager and greeting us from outside the villa. He also helped us book our next taxi and gave us recommendations for points of interest. A big shoutout also to Fatima who cooked our delicious breakfasts - she is an absolute gem!
This accommodation is a 100% must if you're visiting Chefchaouen, especially if you're travelling in a group of 3-4. It really was a once in a lifetime experience!

This house is an event by its own.
The historic, yet clean and modernized nature of the house makes it a museum piece.
The bathrooms were updated to the highest standards. The rooms were cozy, cool, and comfortable. The breakfast was 10/10.
Ma'amon was such a great host and helped with everything. This guy should manage a 5 star hotel.
My father was not there to appreciate it.

The house was gorgeous, clean and palatial. We will definitely stay here again. We had an amazing & relaxing trip to Chefchouen. Maamoun the manager was excellent. We loved the piano. And breakfast was fabulous. Thank you for a great place!
The only thing that was tricky was wifi. However this is typical in Moroccan homes, as they are built out of thick stone (instead of cardboard, like houses in the US). We just worked around it, no big deal.

Nestled in the enchanting city of Chefchaouene, Lalla Ghayta is a hidden gem that truly captivated our hearts. From the moment we arrived, our experience was nothing short of extraordinary.
Maamoun, our gracious host, went above and beyond to ensure our stay was absolutely delightful. His genuine warmth and attentiveness made us feel right at home. Whether it was offering insightful local recommendations or providing assistance with any request, Maamoun's hospitality truly made a lasting impression.
As we stepped into the villa, we were immediately taken aback by its sheer beauty. The tasteful design and attention to detail created an ambiance that was both elegant and inviting. Each room boasted its own unique charm, allowing us to immerse ourselves in the tranquil surroundings and embrace a sense of serenity. There is no TV but if you're going to Chefchaouene and this villa to watch TV then perhaps you should re-consider your holiday plans.
One of the highlights of our stay was undoubtedly the breakfast. Every morning, we were treated to a culinary feast that showcased the rich flavors of Moroccan breakfast.
Overall, our stay at Lalla Ghayta was a truly unforgettable experience. The personal touch provided by Maamoun, coupled with the breathtaking beauty of the villa, created an atmosphere that felt like a home away from home. We wholeheartedly recommend Lalla Ghayta to anyone seeking an extraordinary retreat in Chefchaouene.
Thank you, Maamoun, for your exceptional hospitality and for sharing your beautiful villa with us. We look forward to returning to Lalla Ghayta in the future.

Beautiful Riad, well equipped and suitable for a couple or a family. Authentic yet modern. Great location near all the relevant attractions and accessible for movement with suitcases . You must take the optional home made breakfast, the local cook arrives at the set time and makes a very tasty and generous meal. It’s a real treat for a couple to stay at this majestic place.
Thank you Maamoun and Lala !

Location is convenient and quiet. Large villa all to ourselves. Great breakfast in open courtyard
Very awkward bathroom access. Bedrooms are a tad dark and uninviting, maybe better lightening or a new coat of paint might help. If you know you have quests coming and the temperature is over a 100F, turn on the A/C in the bedrooms
