convenient. let us into our room early

Uncomfortable beds, really noisy area, inconvenient check in and out

we had planned to stay 4 nights but the steps leading to our room were extremely narrow, winding and treacherous.

Location excellent and rooms ideally situated such that they have balcony views. It was better than the pictures save for the rickety bedside table lamp. You don't have to pay students for the alley tour, especially if you don't speak Spanish anyway; you can experience the singing from your windows. The rooftop/balcony room seems the best, to me.

Needed to check out around 11 a.m. (place has a 12 noon checkout) and also, help getting transportation as the call-taxis in this town are far more numerous than the Ubers, but there was nobody at the separate building where all this stuff is handled. Whatsapped the guy and obtained help that way. But this was a concern as had a bus to catch.

The staff was friendly and most helpful, especially arranging our airport transfer. The beds we're very comfortable. Perfect location.

Having a small fridge would of been great.

The owner was super nice and attentive, thanks for this treatment! Fridge, terrace, view and location was excellent.

The only drawback is bed lining and towels. They were really worn out and old and I would kindly recommend the owner to buy new ones, so it doesn’t spoil the stay.

The property is well located where you get to listen every night to the famous (Estudiantina) and beautiful view and quiet as well

Too small - no common area to meet. This is a house renovated to 3 suites. The only rooftop deck access is from the top suite - we were in the bottom 2. Each ‘suite’ is just a small room with a bathroom with one chair in the room. The bottom suite door opens right onto the street! The door has glass in it and the light shines in all night. There is an extremely narrow and steep spiral staircase to get up to the second floor. No hand railings. Oh - and you check in at a different property, then walk 2 blocks with your luggage to get to your ‘suites’ (I use that term very loosely). The bottom suite had no hot water in the bathroom sink as it was turned off under the sink. When you turned it on, it ran constantly. The shower head sprayed water everywhere but on you! There were dispensers in the shower with shampoo & conditioner- that was nice and environmentally friendly. The upstairs suite had holders for the shampoo/conditioner installed - but no products. We had to use a bar of soap we brought, and there was no where to put it - so it went on the back of the toilet (ew!). There was no cover on the ceiling light in the bathroom. We had to move the beds a bit to access a plug. We tried to plug in the lamp on the night table between our beds - only to find the switch inoperable. The lamp was just a useless fixture - no wonder it wasn’t plugged in. And the upstairs tenant seemed to be constructing something at night (rhythmic hammering sound - very loud) until I opened the door and yelled up ‘por favor!’ In a pleading voice. That did not, however, stop them from watching their TV at near concert-level decibels. They say Guanajuato Centro is noisy - but this was ridiculous! Our friends downstairs were plagued with people walking by (literally only a window and a few feet separating the passers by and your bed ) all night. At one point there seemed to be a whole mariachi band outside there door.
