Folly beach very nice place. Will go back. House was good except issues with a/c unit no disclosed until we got there.

Proximity to the beach was excellent and the pool/backyard was great. The screened in porches were also perfect for gathering together and socializing at the house.

We had a great time at this house. The location was perfect to stay socially distant from others but close to the beach. The pool was also excellent. We had a few issues though. This house needs an extreme deep clean. When we arrived there was something white on one of the bed spreads so I washed them all before anyone slept under them. When looking in a drawer I found a previous person's clothing. Last but not least, the final night of our stay my young daughter started screaming from the bathroom...due to a large cockroach running around on the floor. We did not see anymore thankfully but she was scared that there may be other big bugs. Great location, but definitely needs some attention. MyOceanRental: Thank you for your review and feedback. We will definitely discuss the need for a deep clean with the owner and the contracted housekeepers and apologize for the inconvenience. We are so glad that you enjoyed your stay!!

This beachside property was perfect for our group getaway. The location was excellent, being a stones throw from the beach, and right next to a beach access point - as well as within walking distance to the shops and bars. The pool was also a lovely addition, and there were plenty of places to sit and socialise, either as one large group or to split off into smaller groups. This is a wonderful place to stay! It is very close to the beach and it is far enough from center street to be peaceful. But what makes it a fantastic place to stay is it's general layout; the floors/ bedrooms let everyone feel like they have their own space while the porch and pool allow for the entire group assembled in the house a place to get together… it really is the best of both worlds— most of the time you are either too cramped to get along or too separated to feel like you are in a group; this place is a great balance. Nice roomy, clean, home. Great for our family.Very comfortable, plenty of room. We had 5 adults,3 kids. Nice backyard pool, well landscaped and clean pool, ready to use.Only thing that needs improvement is the gas grill was really dirty so no go.I would highly recommend the "Blue Sky". This is a great family rental. The pool is pristine and the beach access is almost directly across the street. You are a mile from downtown Folly Beach (easy walk) and you are 20 minutes from downtown Charleston. Great time. From MyOceanRental: Thank you for your review and feedback! Wonderful location directly across from beach access. The backyard and pool were Beautiful!!!!! The house was cute but very basic. The kitchens both up and downstairs were serviceable but really small and not really well stocked for a family that cooks every night. The porches were spacious with generous seating but the indoor lounging/tv areas were small and couches were not very comfortable. The sofa upstairs…circa 1984. The beds…every single one… were like concrete. For 7,000, there should have been more than 1 wineglass that was glass (there was a plastic one too) But that was in downstairs kitchen…after the first night, I could no longer walk up and down the stairs after the mattress ordeal…the rental staff communication was excellent and they promptly responded to issues like the upstairs A/C going out and that was fixed they next afternoon. I appreciate the 5% refund for the broken AC…I will use the $344 to put towards my hip replacement…

Couldn’t stay in the property because it smelled like urine, was run down, and very noisy. We were not able to get our money back even after following all protocols in the contract and alerting the property management immediately. We ended up having to find another place on our own last minute and leaving the property. Could be a nice place if it wasn’t so run down and dirty.

My family and I had a wonderful Folly Beach vacation, and the house was perfect for our multi generation group. The beach is steps away, and the backyard pool is awesome!

House has lots of room and 2 separate floors with 2 kitchens. Great for a large group. Easy beach access and close to restaurants. Only disappointment was pool heater was not working.

We had a wonderful stay overall, it's right across the street from beach access which is great. There's a good amount of space to use however it works for your group. We only had two issues while there: 1. The mosquitoes in the back yard are horrible. If you weren't completely submerged in the pool you were getting bitten. We went out and bought citronella candles, bug spray, etc which helped some, but our group definitely didn't use the backyard and pool nearly as often as we had planned to. And 2. 3 of 7 nights there we got texts about the noise sensor reading too high of noise levels. We had 3 young children there who were in bed by 8 and we were not making any noise at all once they were in bed, we were all either reading or working on the computer. But I texted the management company about that and they said not to worry about any future texts about noise levels as sometimes the settings get thrown off. Overall a great experience, we would stay here again, just wish the backyard was a little less mosquito friendly :)

We had a great time, and loved the house, the location and we love everything about Folly Beach. We will be back!

We had 1 set of grandparents and 1 set of parents with 6 kids between us. The bedrooms were great - I like that 2 of the bedrooms had twin beds - much more convenient with children. The 2 top porches were in constant use - one glassed in and air conditioned and the other screened with ceiling fans. Both areas had a large table and chairs for eating. The house is two apartments with two separate kitchens which is nice with two groups. The best part of the property is the pool and the proximity to the ocean. You get a good ocean view from the 2nd floor and it is right across the street. The pool was great and the kids used it constantly - the landscaping was also lovely and a nice surprise. The only drawback is that when the whole group was together it was a little difficult to gather although the first floor had a much better seating arrangement. Washer and dryer on both floors were also a nice benefit. It appears the property has been updated and it was spotless!

The house really suited our needs well. The location was great, and we really enjoyed the private pool.

Nice layout for multiple families. Plenty of common space on porches and decks. Plenty of parking. Right across the street from public beach access.

Property was exactly as advertised. Great place to stay. Will rent again!

The house was just as advertised! The kids loved the pool and the beach was literally across the quiet street. The two levels worked out well for us since we could put the family with kids on one floor and the families without on the other. It was clean and well stocked. There were many great small details too like games in good condition and lots of hooks to hang clothes and towels. It was the perfect place for us to gather for our son’s wedding.

The house had everything we needed. Nice sized private pool and right across the street from the beach! Sweet breezy screened porch too!

We had stayed 3 years ago but we’re evacuated. There were some updates: tile in bathroom; however we did not expect to find there was a live rat in the grill with droppings on the screened in porch and then we found two roaches . One in glasses porch and another in a bedroom. They tried to appease us and brought a charcoal grill the second day. Best feature was the short walk - literately across the street. Overall house needs new paint and cracks repaired, but absolutely requires a good exterminator!!

Our party of 10 ( family & friends) had plenty of room in the house and enjoyed our stay! Loved the quiet backyard & pool!

The house was run down and in need of some updating. Also, not that clean. However, the pool was great! Close proximity to the beach was the overall redeeming factor.

We had a wonderful stay! Everything was very comfortable. We especially loved the heated pool, multiple outdoor seating areas and the short walk to the beach! We hope we can stay here again sometime!

Our favorite part of the home was the pool- my kids were in it multiple times a day, every day, even when it rained- and the big screened in porch that overlooked the pool. We ate every meal on that porch! We did have an issue with the bathtub and toilet overflowing downstairs which ended up being due to the septic needing to be pumped out. But we called the property management company and they took care of it as quickly as they could and even gave us a small refund for the hassle. The only other fault I could find was that the floors could have been a little cleaner; it wasn’t clear if they had been mopped between stays. Overall, we really enjoyed this place and would stay here again.
