We were beyond thrilled with our stay at this property. The views were spectacular from everywhere in the apartment; we were able to keep the windows open for a wonderful cross-breeze most nights. The apartment itself is well appointed; the decor is older but very well kept, and we have everything we needed. I especially appreciated the extra beach towels, pillow, and blankets. The building itself is lovely, with dedicate parking, elevators, and easy access to the pool and hot tub area. It’s also just steps away from multiple restaurants, bars, and cafes. Communication with the host was excellent. We will absolutely be returning to this property in the future!

The condo itself was beautiful, the semi circular windows surrounding the condo allowed for an amazing view! It was the perfect size for our visit. The location in town was perfect the property is amazing! The owner was very very easy to deal with. The building has a 24 hour security guard who checked us in. We had our own designated parking spot. The unit was spotless. We would stay there again! Thank you so much for having such a lovely place.

Fantastic condo.

This is the 2nd time my family and i have stayed in Derek's condo - and loved it again. The location @ marina is perfect and the shape-set up of condo allows for amazing 27-7 views, breezes sunrise and sunsets. There a a bunch of restaurants, shops, bakeries and any amenity you might need within walking distance. Entire process from check-in to checkout was seamless. Derek as well as the staff at condo were super helpful, courteous and kind for any questions we had throughout our stay.. Condo is perfect for a group of 2 and has all of the amenities we need to make a great stay...especially the filtered water, beach items like umbrella, chairs. The ice cube trays are also super small detail but a big plus that makes getting ready for daily beach-pool excursions much easier to know you don't have to go and get ice every day. Lastly - the location feels super safe and secure with gated secure area for parking and pedestrian entry/exit. Again - a small thing but a pro that makes guests feel more comfortable. We look forward to another return trip to on of our favorite Mexican towns!! :-)

Super cute, safe, secure, clean, quiet and convenient condo. My sister and I had the best time on our trip in large part to this great property. While some of furnishing and appliances are older —- you are on vacation so that isn’t important since all are in good working condition. The condo itself could not be in a more perfect location and the community is very secure and safe. Derek our host could not have been more kind, accommodating and responsive through entire planning and trip process. Condo is well equipped with all of the needs for beach day - lots of towels, umbrella, float etc. we also appreciated the reusable grocery bags for both our beach days but also our trips to get daily drinks-snacks. The Pool and BBQ area are amazing with a great view of marina and convenient to Malecon and so many good restaurants, bakeries, shops, etc to walk to. We will absolutely be back and stay here again! I’d much rather have a location like this to stay in town and drive to beach each day than stay somewhere further out of central town.

Super clean and well layed out studio. Views from huge king bed of morning sunrise and evening sunset...breathtaking! Great location...pool gorgeous and had it all to ourselves! Walkable to Malecon, restaurants and dive shop...can't wait to come back!

Quite possibly the most amazing condo we've seen at anywhere. It's basically one big room with a 270-degree view. That means that the bed can see both the sunrise and the sunset over the water. It is close to the malecon but also far enough that it is quiet at night. The outside patio is also amazing with a glass railing. And the best part is that it gets a great breeze so that it is 10° cooler here, than a 5 minute walk into town.

240 Degree views over the Marina and the sea... just beautiful. Room is laid out nicely and has all the amenities yo could want. Easy walking up and down the Malecon and to the downtown area. Pool was nice in the morning when the sun is on it, not bad in the warm evenings. The Hot Tub could be warmer when the wind is coming in, but is perfect when it is calm. Overall, great place to stay.

We were very disappointed with our brief stay. The condo itself is well appointed and comfortable with a lovely view of the marina. Communication with Derek was great and he was good to work with. Our complaint was that the property was misrepresented. We knew we where the condo was located and expected to be able to enjoy coffee and sit around the pool, use the hot tub and be close to the Malecón. What was not expected nor shown in the pictures was that a multi-storey addition was currently under construction right beside the existing building which is also under renovation and right beside the pool. Dust, noise and lack of privacy as well as the sun being blocked by the building for most of the day made the pool area unusable and with no balcony or patio to sit and enjoy the view and sun it was not where we wanted to be or expected. Derek was understanding and when we spoke to him just after arrival, he willingly allowed us to modify our stay and we left as soon as we were able to book an alternative. I would hope that the pictures and description of this unit is updated for other travellers so they are aware of the situation of the property.

great host, great views, great location, clean, quiet except for wknd music as noted in other reviews. only small negative for us was kitchen area as we like to do a lot of cooking while travelling and thought kitchen could use an upgrade which in talking to Derek I believe he has plans to do at some point. if you are not planning to cook much then will not be an issue. In short though we were really happy with Derek's condo as our place to stay for our first visit to La Paz.

Rental was very easy. Unit very clean and exactly as shown in pictures. Location was great. Very close to downtown, tours, and restaurants. Would definitely stay here again. Great tour with Eco Migrations and excellent seafood and prices at La Costa.

This condo has a spectacular view of the entire bay and the marina, and was very clean and safe. Located close to many restaurants. The property manager, Derek, was very helpful and answered questions by text within seconds. Highly recommended and I have stayed in La Paz more than 50 times.

This condo is perfect. Everything you need to enjoy your vacations is provided. Derek is very personable and a super wonderful host and always a phone call away for anything you need . The grounds at the property are beautiful as well and once again everything you need is there . Totally enjoyed myself here at the condo. Pool is warm and well maintained. Perfect for two people and a friend or child.

My wife and I totally enjoyed our stay in this amazing condo. Views were great, location the best, and we loved the hot tubs in the rain. Weather did not cooperate at first but we still were able to swim with the whale sharks later Monday. Derek is the most excellent host!

Just back from two fantastic weeks at this beautiful La Paz condo. Having been to La Paz several times before, we knew that this would be a perfect location for us, a short walk down the Malecon to downtown and close to a number of excellent restaurants. What a find this amazing condo was for us. Couldn’t have been more perfect. Located in the turret of the Vista Coral complex, the condo offers an unparalleled 180 degree view of the bay, marinas, and the Malecon. The spotlessly clean apartment is extremely well laid out with quality amenities, and very well equipped with everything one needs for a relaxing holiday in La Paz, including a cooler and a beach umbrella for a day at the beach. Derek is a fantastic host. He met us upon arrival and gave us a full tour of the unit as well as many great recommendations for restaurants and local activities. The pool area is exactly as shown in the photos, and was never crowded during our stay. We’ll be back!

Derek was great to work with and the condo was very nice and quiet for being close to the Malecon. Derek was kind enough to set me up with some fishing flies he uses for catching Rooster fish in the area. Would definetly stay here again.

The apartment was perfectly cozy for us during our 3 days stay in La Paz. It was so conveniently located - we were within walking distances of many great restaurants and la Paz boardwalk. Derek was also a super host and so responsive! Highly recommended.

My husband and I stayed here for 5 nights on our honeymoon in La Paz. Derek was very responsive when we were needing to communicate. He was available at all times via phone if we needing anything. Very fast to respond. We met him to check in and he gave us the keys, showed us parking and gave us a tour of the place. He then left us to ourselves and said when we were ready to check out just to give the keys to the parking guard. The whole process was very easy. The location of this place was amazing. The view from the place was even better. Because the place is located in the turret of the building the windows gave 180 degree view. It allowed us to see out to the ocean, to the marina and over to the downtown area. This place was very well maintained and very clean. It offered everything we needed to do our daily cooking, washing of clothes and even a beach umbrella and ice chest. Derek also has a wide variety of options on the tv, although we were out and about we didn't take too much advantage of them. The pool was newly renovated and just down two flights of stairs. It could be seen from the room as well. We went to the pool almost everyday. Don't forget your sunscreen!! The Mexican sun is definitely strong. :-) I highly recommend if you are looking for somewhere to stay, you stay here. You won't regret one thing about it. Derek even provided us with a tour company if we wanted to book anything and personal favorites when asked for referrals of things around the area. Thank you for the wonderful stay! We will definitely be back.

The unit was comfortable and clean; the views were amazing; the pool area was fantastic despite the noisy construction as they are building right besides it. We really enjoyed La Paz, you do need a car to get around if you want to go walk the beaches as there is no local beach that you can walk. Restaurants are everywhere. Our most memorable meal was at Il Rustico.

Anyone that may be thinking of La Paz for a vacation, has to consider this place to stay. I just returned from a trip with my teenaged daughter, and we found the cleanliness, the location, and the view to be second to none in La Paz. What an amazing pool, and just a few steps to world class seafood. Every necessity for a stay of any length was available to us through Derek. I will be back for sure As for the city of La Paz...... the restaurants went 100 percent on my trip. You just couldn't find a place that was disappointing at all. The people were friendly and at no time did we feel unsafe. The beaches were spectacular and swimming with the whale sharks ( and V.I.P tours...ask for Katrin to be your guide ) was the highlights. Awesome place! Thanks Derek!

Very much enjoyed the 4 nights we spent at this condo. Location is fantastic. What a view! Enjoyed the pool despite some construction noise nearby. Was concerned when I saw earplugs in the condo but these were not necessary. There is some noise in the evenings from entertainment in nearby restaurant, but I closed the windows and turned on the AC at night and it didn't bother us a bit (and I'm a light sleeper). The security guard staff were friendly and helpful. Enjoyed use of the beach umbrella and cooler that were provided in the condo for our beach time. Would stay here again. My only complaint is the sofa bed they had available for my daughter was very uncomfortable and really needs to be replaced. The main bed for my husband and I was just fine - it is firm though.

My partner and I adored Derek’s place at the Vista Coral. The location is great. Views across the bay and the Malecon. Derek is a great host and very responsive when I emailed about different tours. He gave us great recommendations with local insight. The condo is a good size, with large shower, drinking water cooler, washer and dryer (was quite nice). The pool and hot tub are bliss. When we were there, we had the pool to our selves. The staff at the vista coral are very accommodating and sweet. The location is ideal. There are restaurants and cafes just below the Vista Coral,aside from along the Malecon, so it was perfect for a final drink before ending the night or having a final meal. The restaurants have live entertainment so they can get a bit loud at night. Overall we loved our stay and would recommended it Derek’s condo.

It isn't very often you can travel to an unknown place (of which speaks a foreign language) and feel literally right at home. Derek is the ultimate host who treats you like a close friend to the family. This was a place i would easily stay at (long term if i could swing it) again. If you skip this place for any other you are sorely missing out.

the apartment has one of the best views in La Paz (I've stayed in 10 different places and visited many more). It is well furnished. All devices and equipment work well, including wifi. Friday and Saturday nights are noisy until 130am because of a nearby disco, but otherwise, there are no drawbacks. The owner was very thoughtful (e.g. spare toothpaste, shampoo) and well-prepared. Unfortunately I did not have time for the pool or hot tub, but they both looked beautiful. Next time.....
