Was welcomed by a messy bed, broken furniture, stained living room chairs, gum wrappers and crumbs on the table, couch looked like someone had just taken a nap on it and a drunk/homeless man sleeping on the lawn across the street. Dead bug on the ground, beer cans in the garbage and ice cubes all over the freezer. Spent 20-30 minutes in the house to make new lodging arrangements and left. Extremely disappointed.

It was obvious that this property had undergone a serious restoration project. Though the house was small it flowed very well. The place was very clean, the mattresses were absolutely wonderful! If I had any suggestions, it would be for the owner to clean up patio area and make it more inviting for his guest. It is more comfortable to be able to sit outside in privacy than on the front porch. The owner was very accessible and responded to our every need. Overall I would rate it an A-. I would definitely stay there again. Lidia P

This property was a perfect spot for a long weekend! It was quiet and cozy and a quick trip to many of the sites you would want to see. The host was communicative and available if needed. We would stay here again and I highly recommend this property.

This adorable cottage was perfect for our stay. Ideal location and tastefully decorated. All necessary conveniences provided. Uber cost to area attractions from this home is more than reasonable. 10/10 would recommend this rental.

Located in midtown, we enjoyed staying at the cottage.The house was spacious, the kitchen well equipped,the hosts were easy to reach and helpful.

We had a fabulous time exploring the sights, all within a few minutes of this great rental. We had everything we needed, plenty of room for three. We loved the area, so close to a great park. The house was clean, organized, decorated nicely and in good repair. We all had a stay we won't soon forget. Our host was fantastic, answered my questions immediately and was very patient with me. I thought I had booked 7 nights, but no, he was very considerate of my error, gave us time to pack up and tried to help me find another place to stay for the night. We can't wait to stay again in this cute house, to sit out and relax on the porch!

We had one issue where we didn't have hot water when we woke up in the morning, so I texted Ben and he replied immediately and then followed up with a call right away - we just needed to flip the breaker and push a button on the hot water heater. We had hot water very quickly after that, I was able to shower comfortably like 15 mins later. We will be back!

Everything was wonderful as always. Host is always accommodating. We love staying at his properties. They are all wonderful, clean and in great locations.

This is our third stay at Jefferson Cottage while our daughter attended Rhodes College. The safe and quiet street that’s convenient to everything, the comfortable spaces to spread out and the amenities within the cottage make me wonder why I ever book a hotel when we visit Memphis. This “home away from home” has it all! Thanks for a wonderful stay!

This was a great little house for our good friends to meet up with us for the weekend and enjoy Memphis. The location is great - it is very close to both Beale Street and other attractions like Graceland, Memphis Zoo, Art Museum, U. of Memphis. We felt perfectly safe in this cute neighborhood. The owner sent great directions on how to unlock the lock box. The only "negative" was we wished there were concise check out notes - like strip the beds or not, place all towels here, etc. I would stay here again in a heartbeat!

Very convenient location less than 10min to just about everything. (15min from airport & Graceland) thanks Ben for supplying the cottage with travel items and laundry supplies. Kitchen is well stocked all though we were enjoying local eats it is Memphis after all. Great price for extra space and convenience over a hotel.

The house was great. Very clean and just enough room for us. Great location. Close to Graceland and downtown Memphis. Restaurants within walking distance. Would definitely stay here again.

Rooms were very clean. Beds were comfortable. Good shower pressure. Ben was responsive to questions via text. It was a bit chilly and it took nearly 24 hours for the heater to get the place warmed up. There are three TVs but seems like only two can be accessing the streaming service at the same time. Had difficulty with the TV remote in the main bedroom. The neighborhood feels sketchy; the doors were well secured. I'm not sure I would feel comfortable walking around. On street parking.

Ben was very helpful and easy get in touch with. He helped us determine whether it was safe to come to town on the first night of our reservation. There was an ice storm in the area. He was gracious in handling us needing to cut our reservation short. The neighborhood was quiet while we were there and the cottage was comfortable for our short stay.

My family stayed here over Christmas and ended up actually being quarantined here because of Covid. Ben was responsive with an issue with the hot water and would look into the the system to ensure it didn’t happen with future guests. Thank Ben for a comfortable stay!

Nice location in midtown- close to most things. Do believe Living room furniture course some up grades but otherwise- it’s perfect for our mini vacation.

This was the 2nd time we stayed here. Ben was easy to communicate with. He is very nice and the house was clean and in a great location. Just a few blocks (walking distance) of Midtown. Would stay there again for next time we go back to Memphis!

Very comfortable little house in uptown. Clean. Updated. Quiet neighborhood. We felt safe. Easy parking. Close to all of the tourist sites. Grocery store and liquor store about two miles away. The beds are very comfortable. I loved that old, worn recliner, and I wanted to take it home! The air conditioner works very well. Plenty of hot water. Strong wifi signal. The Keurig coffee machine was my best friend each morning, but I would have liked some larger-sized coffee cups in the cabinet. Only two suggestions: 1. The drape over the front glass door that is attached to the wall above the door makes it difficult to open the door. Maybe attach the drape to the door instead of the wall? 2. There were a few gnats constantly flying around, and not sure how they were getting in. They did not bite nor sting, and they did not really bother us besides just floating around the room. Maybe gnats are a Tennessee thing? Overall very pleasant and comfortable stay at 1976 Jefferson. Very pleased. Recommended for a nice, quiet, and comfortable stay in Memphis. Much better than a hotel room.
