This house fit what we needed for our 3 night stay on Tybee Island. It's pet friendly and everything was in working condition and very clean. The location is prime for things to do in the area. David was a great host and that made things go even more smoothly.

David and Marty were the perfect hosts. The home was the ideal location for our short visit. The house had everything we needed with little thoughtful extras like water and chocolate. Will be back soon!

I love this property. It is clean and decorated so nicely, just as in the pictures. It is a two block walk to the beach and convenient to everything. There are nice little shops just up the street with all kinds for fun things. Loved we could walk to them also. We were here for our nephew's wedding which was across the street and down the block. Fun time was had by all our family. Truely enjoyed staying at this sweet house. The owners are so easy to reach and helpful. I would stay here again. Thank you David and Marty for sharing your home with us.

We really enjoyed our stay. The house was clean, spacious, and perfect for our holiday. Davids attentiveness was so helpful in directing us to the beaches, restaurants, etc. We will definitely be back!

From the moment we made our reservations to the time we walked out the door at the end of our stay, it was a PERFECT experience. Host was so wonderful on his contact & communication. House was perfect and so beautiful. Ideal location, beautifully decorated, COMFORTABLE beds, stocked with everything you need. Extras of water in refrig, ice already made, treats, bowls and soggy bags for our dog, abundant information on the area, detail, detai, detail is all I can say. Totally stress free time there because of our hosts. This was a quick trip, but we will be back for a longer stay next time, as well as share this information to all our friends & family.

Nice house that is in a great location for doing everything on the island. Would recommend doing a dolphin tour or tour of the island’s lighthouse; and Savannah is just a short drive away. The house was well stocked with everything we needed and the owners were very quick to respond to our questions. We really enjoyed our stay!

The Dockhouse is located just a couple blocks from the quiet river-side beach in North Beach of Tybee. Fabulously convenient to the Tybee Oaks shops - TyBean, Hucapoo’s, etc. Immaculately clean, well-appointed house and responsive and helpful hosts, full of great advice for a pet-friendly stay. If the house had a screened in porch it’d get 6 stars from us.

This house was wonderful for a weekend stay. Great communication with owners. Clean, spacious, great porch. Easy to walk to restaurants and beach. We thought it was terrific and will stay again!

Everything we needed in the house and David was so easy to communicate with. Near beach, and many restaurants, and we spent beautiful days touring Savannah. Family here from England with us and we all had a lovely time.

We stayed at the property, "The Dockhouse" in Tybee Island for two nights (Dec 16 & 17, 2022) as we were attending the wedding of our granddaughter. David was the perfect property owner/manager and made the check-in and checkout process very simple. He actually had The Dockhouse cleaned and ready for us to check-in earlier than the 4 o'clock time in order that we could get ready to attend the wedding rehearsal & dinner that evening!The property was immaculate and anything that one might need as far as kitchen appliances, cutlery, towels, etc. was there. We loved the decor and furniture! We would very much like to return and stay for a much longer period of time.

Loved the place! It was immaculately clean and very comfortable for two adult friends and a dog. David was a very gracious host and sent us a bunch of helpful tips ahead of our stay. It was an easy walk to the beach on the Savannah River and a quick drive to North Beach on the Atlantic Ocean. We also enjoyed being so close to the shopping village, coffee shop, and local bar/pizza place just down the street. Two thumbs up! Would definitely stay here again!

This property is in a prime area located on the peaceful north beach of Tybee. David was super accommodating as well! You are in walking distance to Huc-a-poos and Tybean Coffee as well. The walk to the beach is not far and you do not have to cross any major roads with your beach equipment. We would stay there again!

This was our first time at Tybee Island. The location was perfect -- short walk to the beach (dolphin watching was the best I've ever seen!) and an easy drive to Savannah. Excellent communication from our hosts which was much appreciated. The house was very clean and comfortable and had everything we needed as well as extras such as water in the fridge and laundry detergent. We will definitely stay here again for our next Tybee vacation! Tip: check when the high tides are before going to the river beach. Not much beach about a half hour before and after then.

We had a great time. From the beginning, David was in contact with us giving us lots of information not only about the house but about fun things to do around the island and Savannah. The house was very clean and well maintained. The location was great for getting to activities on the island and off. David let us know about the Beach Bum Parade that took place on the island. What a fun and different kind of parade! Thanks David for helping make this a wonderful experience and we look forward to visiting again.

Best owner of a property that we have ever dealt with

This house was the perfect location for our Tybee Island vacation. It is convenient to Tybee and Savannah and within walking distance to the Savannah River beach. Also within walking distance is a super fun, family-friendly pizza place and lots of artsy shops. The house itself was immaculate! And our hosts, David and Marty, were awesome! They were easily available during the booking, check-in and check-out processes. And they had chocolates and water waiting for us after our long drive!! I highly recommend this property.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay! We had all the creature comforts we needed in a clean, attractive property just minutes from the beach and restaurants.

Dockhouse was exactly what we wanted. We loved walking to the coffee shop in the morning. The house itself was clean and ready for our weekend. The hosts could not have been more helpful and welcoming. Would gladly stay here again!

My daughter my mother and I had a wonderful time we went to the beach. We loved the little shops and the beach. We went into Savannah several times, it’s a great place to stay and go spend the day in Savannah. The cottage was perfect for 3 people.

Adorable beach cottage. Great host, the house had everything we needed. It easily accommodated 4 adults. Nice location with easy access to river beach. While at the river beach we saw cargo ships and shrimp boats sail past as we sat on the beach. Also watched dozens of dolphins slap thier tails to stun and feed on bait fish. Watched several Osprey dive in for thier meal as well...and even saw 3 bald eagles fly over us...it was awesome! Huck-a-poos was a delight with great pizza. A must see is the fishing pier...every beach should have one! Over all we had a great stay at the Dock house. Tim & Renee

We love Tybee Island and always prefer to stay on the north side. We’re so glad we rented this great little beach house this time! It was super clean, comfortable, and convenient. We liked being within walking distance to the beach and our favorite coffee shop. If you haven’t tried Tybean you definitely should! Their mocha is our favorite. David and Marty are exceptional hosts! Very kind, understanding, and helpful. Check out their suggestions for site seeing, you wont be disappointed. If you have little ones, check out the new marine science center as well. Our little guy loved the touch tank and the employees are all so sweet. If you’re considering Tybee, don’t hesitate to book with David, Marty, and Colby!! We can’t wait to visit again!

We chose this property because of the great reviews, reasonable price, walking distance to the beach (bay side), and that it was dog friendly. This was our first time booking through VRBO and it was a pleasant process. The host family was very responsive. We appreciated that the house was clean and exactly as pictured in the booking pictures. This was our first time visiting Tybee and I kinda wanted to stay more on the south side of the island, but now that I've been there ... I'm really thankful that we chose the north side. Staying on the north side was convenient and quieter. We had easy access to everything we wanted to do. We did drive to the south side to go to the beach one day so that my daughter's would have waves to ride. The hosts left a book of very detailed information about how to work everything in the house ... that was so nice (and where to find everything on the island). We were a bit concerned about the weather in early April. It was very pleasant outside (shorts weather), but on the windy beach it was chilly! My young daughters had no problem getting in the water, but I had to stay wrapped up on the sand ;-) We did enjoy walking to Huc A Poos pizza and to Tybee coffee - both of which are a very short walk from the house. The house sits right off of the main busy street; it was tricky turning left out of the property. We would definitely stay here again!

David and Marty were incredible hosts! The house was in great condition and was perfect for a family of four. The house was in a very convenient location including a short walk or bike ride to the beach . This was our first time visiting Tybee and we will be back in the future and can't wait to re-book with David and Marty!!!
