The property is simply lovely, ocean views are featured from the entire upstairs. The house was so well furnished, plenty of everything you could need, and you can't beat the location with a beach just steps away. Jean was very nice and helpful, all in our family Thanksgiving agreed that it was the perfect place for a get together

The location was great! It was an easy walk to the beach for all of us ranging in ages from 2.5 years old to 81. The house has amazing views! It was very spacious with all the amenities and more. We were so thankful the owner was willing to share her home with us.

Room size & layout was perfect for 9 adults. Will be back!

View was beautiful! Close to everything. Had everything we needed including beach towels, chairs, etc. Totally worth the money. If I come back here again, I will look for this property.

The house was great for our needs. I only gave it 4 starts because the hot tub was out, and needed repair. We had booked it partly because of that. We have 3 small children and the house was so well equipped for beach activities- even had a stroller. The interior is older but well kept up. Jean was amazing over the phone. She offered local restaurant suggestions and was very accommodating and friendly

We stayed here for a family wedding that was in Soquel. We had 4 different households (10 ppl) ranging in age from a 1 year old to 60 year olds. Overall the location can't be beat, it's a huge house and lots of room to spread out. The house is one in from a great beach and there are awesome views from the kitchen and living room. It's close to Capitola and was only 15 mins from the wedding venue. The only tiny minor comment is that there are lots of random rules posted throughout the house which seem a little overboard-- for example the bathtub drain has "for owner use only" written in sharpie marker. They also request that you wash 4 loads of towels upon check out which I have never seen at a vrbo, especially with a very hefty cleaning fee that seems like a big ask. Anyway, that aside it was awesome and highly recommend the house!

I come from a family of Vacation Rental owners & we are world business travelers, and I must say the place has a lovely location for large groups. (Our cap was 10 adults.) Having a view of the Pacific Ocean is always welcoming to the eyes. But for the money we were spending I was disappointed that the bedroom closet door hinges were off its rails, several light bulbs were burnt out ... including in the shower where we needed to use it at night, (not good when you have an business event to get ready for ), so I would have thought this place should be ready to go in all aspects. Also, as a business traveler, I like the booking process and arrangements to be simple and streamlined, so I was surprised at the third party protocols and logistics of phone calls and paper work that I would have to go through because technically the city likes its vacation owners to treat the guest stays in the form of a rental agreements, and thus, the process was getting long and arduous. Had I known I would have to go through this process, had I been warned, I think for our needs and scenario, I would have passed on this location. I have stayed at plenty of other places before, where the the city/county requires this rental agreement status but I never felt like I had to jump through so many logistical hoops and phones calls working with a third entity arrangement. However, if you don't mind going through this, the place is absolutely lovely, and I can see where families and visiting guests might really enjoy this. The accommodations are great and there are many ways the home makes up for the logistical requirements of this place. Parking is amazing and there is a security gate that hugs around the premises. So I recommend to VRBO travelers to ask questions of the host before you book, and know what you need out of this VRBO space before booking.

Needs updating, my bedding was stained my nieces pillow case stained,grill filthy we didn’t use it. Beautiful big windows dirty upon arrival. Hot tub not working entire stay. At the price point we payed,very disappointed. There were 8 of us

Our family had a great, relaxing stay at this Santa Cruz house. The location is great, one house away from the beach. It was great to walk down to the beach with our kids and be close to the house. The outdoor shower was also great for everyone to wash off from the beach (with warm water). The hot tub was great to enjoy after spending the day at the boardwalk and the beach with the kids. Owner and local property contact were very friendly and responsive.

The house is in the perfect location, one house off the beach! They make the sleeping arrangement really flexible with making the beds into kings or twins. Lots of great additions to the house - bbq, ping pong tables, bikes, etc.

Worked great for big groups of people. Great house layout and perfect for eating in and hanging out.

Great accommodations for our large family vacation! One house away from the beach. Liked that it was dog friendly. We would definitely go back again!

Excellent location to beach and a spacious home with all amenities. Loved the second floor kitchen, living space and deck with gorgeous views of the ocean. Very comfortable home!

It’s amazing to be steps away from the ocean with young kids. You can’t beat the location! It’s a no shoe policy house and unfortunately the carpets have seen better days and I didn’t really want to be barefoot on them. The dishwasher has also seen better days and we had to hand wash a lot of things that was still dirty after a cycle in the dishwasher. Luckily we were a small family of four, but I can see how that can be very frustrating if it’s a full house of 10 people. The garden is a beautiful oasis and the jacuzzi is such a bonus. The owner is wonderful to work with and sorted out our questions and issues ASAP.

The house is about 200 feet to the public beach access stairs, which is very convenient. There is a lot of vehicle and foot traffic in front of the house all day and into the night. The house has an outdoor shower (exposed not private) which is very handy for getting off all the sand. The check-in process was problematic and the house wasn’t clean. The house is large with lots of beds so it can comfortably accommodate twofamilies

This house was a great space for our family reunion. The rooms are large with beautiful views from several gathering spaces. The beds are comfortable, there are plenty of linens with a washer and dryer on the main floor. The kitchen has a lot of cooking utensils, but check with the owner that the appliances have been maintained. If you have toddlers you may need to bring a baby gate. The outdoor space was very nice and enclosed so that children could play outside safely in the yard. It is a very short walk to a fun beach that is accessible at low tide and a close walk to a larger beach with good surfing. The manager was easy to reach, and The owner responded to concerns within a day. She had specific check-in policies that reflected her concern for keeping Her property safe.

The house is located on a great beach, easy to get to Pleasure Point for surfing. We had some trouble with the dishwasher, but the property manager helped to fix it. The home is very big and great for a lot of guests.

Was very pleased with the overall stay - we gathered the three kids and their families for a short family reunion. The sleeping arrangements were great - each family had their own room and the lack of a TV upstairs was fantastic - created family time during meals and before sunset. Kitchen was well organized and clean - great for family breakfasts. Are planning on returning next year. Also liked the compound feel with the wall in front of the house - very secure.

We were four families (8 adults and 8 kids) having an annual gathering and this was the perfect spot! The house was clean and well stocked. It was very comfortable and the location was great, just a few steps away from the water. We had a wonderful time!

The home accommodated our family very well. Unfortunately the crazy rainy weather prevented us from enjoying the beach nearby but it was nice how close the home was to all our destinations that weekend.

We loved this house. Plenty of room, a beautiful view, all that we expected and more. Jeans’ home is well stocked and has so many thoughtful extras. We slept well in comfortable bedding listening to the waves crash. We played games at the large dining room table. It met all our needs and more. Thank you so much Jean.

This was perfect for our family Thanksgiving at the beach. Three generations took full advantage of the beach for walks, romps in the surf, and amazing dog walking. Large common areas were comfortable for the whole family (8) to hang together. We took advantage of the ping pong tables for a rousing family championship on our one rainy day. The kitchen was well equipped for preparing all our meals including a Thanksgiving dinner. Jean had made sure we had roasting pans for the turkey. And Alfredo helped us with check-in. He had the place spotless and ready for our arrival. Communication was easy.

We loved the house! The deck was gorgeous and overlooked the ocean. If you walk 10 feet down the street, you reach the beach. Amazing!
