1st time this room, 2nd time this property, huge chance I will stay there when I ski next spring. Totally quiet, out of the way but close to everything, perfect spot. I rated "communication with property manager" as a 3 out of 5, because my communication was SOLELY the code to get the key to enter property----but it worked perfectly..........

The property was quiet- no one else that we could see there. We enjoyed the larger space compared to a previous room we stayed in at the same property. We’ll be back but probably not when it’s as cold outside!

This beautiful property won all our attention for the first evening we arrived. In every direction one looks, a photographer’s dream composition reveals itself; we remained entranced with staying here. Comfortable, convenient, and picturesque, this is a treasure of a find! We would love to come back.

Close to plaza. Enjoyed our stay.

The room was very clean and cute, but quite small which couldn't be appreciated by photos. The only place to sit was one wooden chair. The only "sitting area" was outside. Kiva fireplace has a sign saying "no fires" so that is also misleading when you look at the pictures. Coffee pot was missing filter component so it leaked. Tried to use the room wall furnace, but it didn't work either.

We greatly enjoyed our stay in this place. Had everything we needed and was walking distance to a lot of the spots in Taos. Definitely recommend!

Clean and quiet

The Monterrey Room at La Posada de Taos was the perfect place to stay in Taos! The room was very nice and clean, had both a front porch and back porch to relax on, and it was walking distance to the town center so we didn't even need to drive/park! I would definitely recommend staying here for your next Taos visit.

The pictures online gave me the impression of a much larger room. There was only a hard desk chair to sit on. Ceiling is really low and very little natural light. It does have 2 seating areas outside the front and back door. It was also very close to downtown.

We had a wonderful time and loved the authenticity of our Vrbo , The areas to work on would be let your guests know about Wi-Fi and Uber spottiness. Also the sheets were frayed.

So. Quiet peaceful. Love location

We've stayed at La Posada de Taos previously, and find the property to be well situated for walking to the plaza, well stocked for morning coffee and half and half on the patio, and decorated in a warm and welcoming way. The beds are superb, and we will always try to stay here when we visit. Thanks!

We enjoyed our one night stay here. It was everything we needed, with authentic decor and a nice area to sit outside. The location was perfect, close to town, yet very quiet. The host was very friendly and there if we needed anything…. But we didn’t!!!! Would recommend and we’d stay there again. Thanks

Great little casita if you don’t require a kitchen. It’s in a cute little complex close to tha Taos Plaza and it’s great variety of shops, galleries & restaurants.

Lovely, inviting gardens and architecture entice you to completely relax. Loved the decor and private patios.

This little casita was perfect for our needs. Very close to Taos plaza and Kit Carson. Actually had good wi-fi. Could use a little better bed pillows and the hot water is a little sketchy at times but, enjoyed our stay in this lovely casita. Would definitely do it again.

This is a facility that represents Taos style and felt very homey. The only thing that might be improved is that we couldn't block out light within our room. But the garden was charming and we could sit outside and enjoy it, either in the front or the back of our room. Will definitely stay here again when in the area. Centrally located near the plaza and good restaurants.

We were grateful for the excellent communication and found the property manager and hosts helpful in helping us correct our error instantly. Parking was available for all size vehicles and check in and out a breeze. This casita will be a favorite of ours in terms of cleanliness, ambiance and the quality of many outdoor spaces. So much attention to detail in decor, comfort and many interesting items in the casita. The patio and courtyard enjoyable, relaxing and inviting. The property was within a short walking distance to restaurants and interesting shops. Our stay was relaxing and peaceful and we hope to return again.

This property is nice it was very clean. We arrived a few hours early and the manager was nice enough to let us check in early. It was convenient to all the spots we wanted to go.

This studio casita was in perfect walking distance to historic downtown Taos. Excellent communication from the hosts and sweet that they provided snacks and coffee. Perfect for a weekend getaway!

We had an unusual situation with this property. The property was pretty and in a walkable area, however in the end we moved out and into a hotel room due to safety concerns. There were issues with check-in stemming from rooms not having unique keys and unclear directions. The key left for us worked for at lest two different listings on the property (I checked this with the property manager's permission). There was no other way to lock the door as the lock on the handle had been disabled and there was no deadbolt. This meant that anyone who had a key could enter our room at any point in time. This is a recipe for disaster for home intrusions, burglary etc. I asked the owner and manager point blank if each door on the property had unique locks. Neither answered. All they did was yell at us and blame us for the keys even though it was their fault. We literally had no way of messing up the keys. We expressed safety concerns regarding the doors and were told by the owner, "Well you can get the hell out then." It was a mess of a situation and at the end of the day we didn't feel safe there. It was incredibly stressful and we genuinely feared for our safety. The owner responded very inappropriately, rudely, and just down right mean. This was our first stay with Vrbo and we will not be returning. Do not stay here unless the owner has given absolute proof that she has fixed the locks on teh doors. We waited to write this review to give Vrbo and the owner to rectify the situation, but they are still dragging their heels despite assuring us they would follow their guarantee.

It's a charming little studio space in a larger property that offers a lovely courtyard and back garden area. Convenient location for local sites and shopping needs. No work space, but your lap will do for short stretches, and we shouldn't be working so much anyway! Don't miss Antonio's Taste of Mexico restaurant, nearby!

We stayed Christmas Eve so we could experience the Taos Pueblo celebration. The room was tiny but very clean and had everything we needed, plus was close to everything!

Nice compact hacienda. Met our needs just fine.
