We rented the lodge along with the cabin and reception barn for our small wedding. We had around 35 people in attendance with the majority staying in either the cabin or reception for the extended weekend. It was the perfect spot to host an intimate wedding with so many extras included. We went hiking, saw wildlife, went hot tubbing, and played yard and bored games throughout the weekend. Don and Toni were extremely accommodating and had everything you needed. Although the weather was unpredictable for our May wedding, everyone worked together well to make it work. I loved this place as well as everyone that enjoyed the weekend with us. We hope to go back in five years with the same group of people to relive this perfect weekend. Highly Recommended!

We had an amazing wedding and party for our guests at Tihsreed! Everyone was able to stay and was totally comfortable in one of the many beautiful rooms they had available. We had a few too many guests that weren't able to stay on the property, so Toni and Don took care of renting the Cowboy Cove up the street for them which worked out great! All our family and friends are still talking about how our wedding was the best...great venue and service, beautiful place and so relaxing! We'd would recommend getting married or having a family reunion here in a heart beat. Thanks for everything Toni and Don!

We will never forget our stay at TihsreeD. It was one of very limited wedding venues we checked out and immediately knew it was what we were looking for - a place for both of our families to gather and spend a weekend with everything on site. All of our guests fully enjoyed their stay and of course, have called it the "best wedding ever." I'm biased but, I agree. We were able to have our dog in our ceremony and on site which greatly eased my worries and made my day. We were allowed the freedom to decorate the barn as we wished and made it our own for the day. We also set up our walkway and arch and hosted a fun reception night in the barn. We wanted to host our wedding in a location that felt like one of our homes - and that's what this felt like! Wishing we could get married every year! (Ok, not really.) What a fabulous spot! We utilized all parts of the property - hiking trails, hot tub, outdoor fireplace, etc. such fun.

Beautiful, Spacious, and Fun! We had our wedding at Tihsreed and it couldn't have been a more perfect setting! Our family and friends stayed there with us and we have such great memories to share now!

Our family of 12 stayed for a week at this beautiful cabin. It was the first time we had had an "all family" vacation for that length of time. It far exceeded our expectations. Pictures cannot catch the magic! The cabin is big, spacious, and gave us plenty of room to be together and yet do our own thing. We celebrated a 3 yr old birthday, and 2 anniversaries during our stay. The cabin was clean and comfortable. The views of Pikes Peak were constantly changing all day long. We enjoyed the driving range, walks, swinging and hot tub. We rode the train in Cripple Creek, and the wolf and dinosaur attractions. The young adults looked forward to their daily runs. The kitchen was large enough for all of us to visit and snack as we cooked. Don & Toni were friendly and attentive to our needs, and made us feel at home. We were all very sad when our week was up, and agreed we would be back in 2 years. Just the kind of thing a mom & pop want to hear from their grown children and grandchildren. We HIGHLY RECOMMEND Tihsreed to you. We loved it and you will too.

Our large group, 14 adults and 9 little guys (1 to 9) spent a week at Tihsreed. It was just perfect for our celebration of family, relaxing and having fun together. Don was an awesome host, and it was a pleasure to visit with him. Don allowed our son to bring his ATV along and ride on the trails around the property. The kids all ran and played on the huge deck and patio for hours, and on the one rainy day, they hung out in the family room downstairs to watch movies. Our favorite place to gather was the front deck with the comfy furniture. We all had plenty of space, and some of the kids liked camping out in the "under the stairs nook". 3 of the bedrooms have big extra side rooms to put sleeping babies in Pack-n-plays or kids on air mattresses. The golf tee was fun, and the kids liked hiking down the mountain to find the balls. We used the hot tub in the evenings, and were lucky enough to have a full moon while we were there. If you are an early riser, go out on the back deck and watch the birds fly up to greet you. We spent two afternoons in Eleven Mile Canyon, and took all the kids for a train ride in Cripple Creek. The pizza at Lake George Pizzeria is awesome (the Greek pizza was my fav). We loved staying here, and will definitely come back again. Very easy access from CO Springs, very scenic drive, and plenty of things to see and do. We were worried that we would not have easy access to groceries, and brought too much food. It turned out to be no problem to drive into Woodland Park for extras, but the little store in Florissant had most of the things we ran out of (ice, milk, beer). The lodge and property were extremely well maintained, beautiful and even better than we imagined. We couldn't have asked for a better host or a better place.

Our family of twelve used Tihsreed as a home base during our recent Colorado Holiday. We are a wide variety of ages and tastes. Every last one of us left in love with the property and the house. Don and Toni were very welcoming and very helpful. The pictures cannot due justice to the warmth of this home. I was a perfect base for us all to enjoy the amazing things to do in the area. This was our families first time to Colorado and we were looking for a location that would give us the true feel of the area. And this home exceeded our expectations. The views from the back of the house were absolutely breath taking we loved to watch the mountains in the morning. We loved relaxing on the front porch and enjoying those views of the forest and the wild life. A deer walked within feet of us while were were grilling one evening. My whole family and I would highly recommend Tihsreed and it's gracious hosts if you are considering getting away to the mountains of Colorado. There is plenty to do and explore in the area and it was a gorgeous warm and inviting place to come home to in the evening. I think we would all agree it was one of our best vacations.

Our family highly recommends Tihsreed Lodge! Our group of 14 people representing 3 generations spent 4 wonderful days enjoying this beautiful home. It is even more fantastic than the pictures show and is even better than described. The home was very clean and the beds were super comfortable. Don and Toni were very easy to work with through the reservation process, due to a scheduling conflict within the family we had to change dates and they were most gracious. The home itself is secluded but easy to get to and close to the popular attractions. The kids in our group loved the trails around the property and the wonderful swing. There was plenty of space in the house to spread out, though we spent a lot of time outside taking in all the beauty that is on all sides of the home. The wildlife was fun to watch, we saw several deer and even a fox. We ate nearly all of our meals at the Lodge and loved cooking in the spacious, well appointed kitchen. Everyone in our group would say that there can't be a better place to stay in the Colorado Springs area. We are very eager to return!

6 stars out of 5! Tihsreed was the perfect place to celebrate our son's graduation from the Air Force Academy. Family and friends gathered from FL, NC, CO and even Spain to commemorate this special event...and Tihsreed was the ideal setting. Lodge is beautiful with all the amenities...we especially enjoyed the hot tub and fireplace on the patio. And how often do you get a chance to hit golfballs into Pike's Peak? Most importantly, we really appreciated Don's hospitality and generosity. Our family made some great memories at Tihsreed and we hope to return soon! ~ Sean & Inma Jones

My husband and I chose Tihsreed as a neutral location to bring our families together for the first time for our wedding. His family traveled from Portugal and mine from Kansas. The lodge provided the perfect setting for everyone to get to know each other prior to the ceremony. We had several days of trail-hiking, pinball playing, s'more eating, golfing, and family time before the ceremony. With the location we were able to visit some of the nearby attractions, Pikes Peak Highway, Garden of the Gods and the wold sanctuary. Don was an amazing host, very friendly and more helpful than I ever could have imagined. Prior to our arrival he assisted with finding a photographer, hairstylist and restaurant for the wedding night dinner. And, he even performed our ceremony (we had the legal stuff done prior to arrival)! Above and beyond what we ever would have expected from the lodge owner! Everyone, young and old, loved their time at Tihsreed and we hope to be able to go again in the future!!

Don and Toni, We Thoroughly enjoyed our Spring Break week at Tihsreed Lodge. The house is fabulous! We enjoyed all the amentities. The view from all three levels is so amazing. We loved the hot tub, outdoor fireplace, exploring trails, and of course, the pets. Jersey, Hudson, Three, and Four were enjoyable to have around as the "greeting committee." It was fun arriving in the snow and having the temperatures rise each day. Perfect weather for a Texan! The "Welcome Letter" was very helpful, as well as the brochures you left. This was truly a wonderful discovery. A place large enough for our big family, but warm and cozy in every way. Toni and Don were caring hosts who made sure the Christmas Season at Tihsreed would be a memorable one for us. A warm home, spectacular views and the quiet of a Colorado Christmas in the mountains, we could not have asked for more. You did a great job, thanks, Toni and Don.

We choose Tihlsreed Lodge to celebrate my parents' 60th wedding anniversary. We had an absolutely wonderful time! It not only was spacious and very luxurious, but also had a very homey feel. Everything was just as described and met all of our needs, plus some. We emjoyed sitting on the decks soaking in the beautiful setting, cooking together in the spacious kitchen, lots of indoor and outdoor games, hiking and running around the mountain home, and day trips to Colorado Springs, Phantom Canyon Road, Cripple Creek and Canon City, the Florissant National Monument, the Dinosaur Resource Center in Woodland Park (where they are currently restoring a prehistoric turle found on my parents' farm/ranch in Western Kansas), and much more!
