A wonderful home. Properly is well maintained and comfortable. The heated pool was a hit for our December family get together.

Our family loved this charming home! Very warm and inviting. We also appreciated the fact that it was accommodating to elderly family members having a lift chair and accessible wheelchair at the home. There are many activities to do inside and out, something to enjoy for all ages!! We will definitely be staying here again!! One of the nicest and most accommodating homes we have ever stayed at! Ocean rental was the best at getting us in the house and checking on us during our stay. The house had everything we needed. I had 5 teenagers and they all had a great time. The house is walking distance to everything even the beach. The second floor was a great little get away. Our family enjoyed a week's stay on Folly Island and thoroughly enjoyed this property. The location was ideal for walking to restaurants and shops. Compliant with COVID restrictions, the restaurants all had outdoor socially distanced seating. The house is also well situated for a quick walk to the beach. We opted to rent a six person golf cart to help transport our beach gear, but the walk was very easy and quick. The house has very nice amenities, was exceptionally clean upon our arrival, and My Ocean Rental responded very promptly when contacted for a minor issue. The pool was our gathering spot each afternoon and was one of the highlights of our stay. I suggested to the rental agency that the kitchen, while large and well appointed, the cabinets and drawers needed a bit of organizing. I hope for the sake of future renters that this gets completed. Overall, I would rate our stay 10/10. The house is amazing and the pool was an absolute game changer. Only minor critique I would make is that one of the full beds upstairs needs a mattress change (If you can, put kids in that room! We had a house full of adults and the person sleeping on the left bed had a bit of a rough time getting good sleep). Nothing major, just something to note. Also, no fault of the house...parking in Folly is a racket... If I ever make it back to Folly Beach, I would 1000% rent here again!! MyOceanRental: Thank you for your review and feedback! Thank you so much for having us at your house. The place was amazing and worked great for the group of people staying there. The house was clean when we showed up and had great amenities to it. We enjoyed the large bedroom and the game room downstairs. The house was very close walking distance to the bars and beach downtown which we loved. The home was perfect for our family reunion. We were originally looking for beachfront property but thanks to the addition of a long golf cart we didn't miss it. The pool was a HUGE hit with the kids and the adults. We also had a great time playing ping pong, badminton, corn hole, air hockey and enjoyed an impromptu Karaoke party thanks to the amenities at the house. There are 2 large and comfortable sitting areas to watch tv and the kitchen had ample space to accommodate both the serious cooks and those just looking for snacks. The house and the amenities were perfect for a week at the beach. You can walk to restaurants, shops and beach all within minutes. The house is perfectly as described with plenty of space and a wonderful pool. The location is great especially with kids as town and beach are easily walkable! A few hopefully constructive comments: the kitchen could use a review as bowls, platters and pots and pans are scarce especially for a large group. Cooking was a challenge as we needed to improvise to get enough of what we needed. Second, we suggest more trash cans to hold recycling and trash as our were overflowing and given the recycling collection schedule we were forced to put recycling into the one trash can we had. It would be helpful to supply beach towels if you rent to out if towners as we had to cram thirteen towels into an already packed car and mist of us flew in and couldn't manage to shlep them! A small investment. Finally the exterior is sorely in need of upkeep, specifically painting stairs and trim which was peeling and unsightly. All in all it was a great stay so thank you!

The sandcastle was the perfect folly beach home for our group of friends! Everyone was blown away by the outdoor pool and all the activities available. We had the best stay at this wonderful home. This house was perfect for our large group and the yard could not have been any better for the children. Big pool with lots of floats, volleyball, fire pit and close to all the restaurants and shops but also right there by the beach. We all loved it! Great house except for Some general maintenance issues: overly soft beds; tree droppings around pool were messy; paint chipping around interior of house; unpleasant bath mats. Great location for restaurants; longish walk to beach.

We have vacationed on Folly for the past 30 years usually staying oceanfront. Last year weather was uncooperative and we found ourselves inside with nothing to do. This year we decided on this house not only because of the space and outdoor pool but there is no way anyone could say they were bored.; Having the pool to return to in the afternoons with the children was heaven sent. Beach is literally an easy walk. This house has so many activities and fun indoor and outdoor activities. My only complaint was having children they wanted to play all of the arcade games and they cost $$ which was frustrating and also tormenting to them. But between the corn hole, outdoor play structure, volleyball net, ping pong and salt water pool it was a great time by all. The convenience of center street and restaurants and bars were great for the other adults. Having the many different gathering areas was great for all as well. The heat was much and there was an issue with the upstairs far right bedroom but there was a fan and the couple in the room just dealt with it . Overall , we can't wait to return next year :-)

The saltwater pool was a big hit with everyone but especially my two grandsons, ages 8 and 10. They also enjoyed the air hockey and pac man games upstairs. The house fit our family of 7. I appreciate that there were coffee filters and extra TP. The house is located so close to shops, restaurants and the beach we didn’t drive anywhere on the island. Prepare for extra time to get to Folly Beach. We were there June 10-17

This house was absolutely wonderful for our family vacation! Big bedrooms, clean, beautifully decorated and so many hidden features. The location was a short walk to Center St. and to the beach- loved this so we could just put the grandchildren in strollers instead of the car. We did rent a golf cart though so that we could easily transport all our beach gear. The pool and the sandy play area was exceptional and it’s where we ended up spending so much of our time. This was by far one of our best vacation homes!

Nice home. Needs a little maintenance. Great location.

The home is in poor overall condition. The bathrooms have mold and the bathroom faucets are full of soap scum. The floors are not attached and are dangerous to walk on. The kitchen Utensils we're dirty with food stuck to them. The pool chairs were dirty and broken. Paint is chipping inside and outside the home. This is the worst, property we have rented through vrbo. We have pictures to, share if you are interested.

The property was in a great location. Near all restaurants (walking distance). It lacked an ocean view but the pool made up for that short fall. It is one of the only few with a pool which was great for the kids and adults for after the beach and during the days that we took a break from the beach. The house was very clean. I would stay here again if the family decides to go back to Folly Beach.

Fantastic home for large groups. Clean, well stocked, pool is awesome. This was our first time staying so close to town, and we didn’t mind it at all. Easy 2 minute cart ride to beach access. Would definitely rent again.

This property exceeded our expectations! Our 3 adult daughters, significant others and 3 grandchildren truly did not want to leave! The location was as amazing as the house itself. The house is a short block to town and only a few blocks to the beach. We rented golf carts as we had young grandchildren with us and strongly recommend. The pool area was the best part of the trip. Being salt water inside of chlorine was a nice benefit. Sand area outside was fun for the kids. So much to do inside the house we couldn't even get to it all. There are video machines, pool/air hockey table and even more in the basement. The weather cooperated so we spent most time outside, but plenty to do on a rainy day. Proximity to the city of Charleston also a huge plus. Went to the aquarium, City Market and several restaurants. This was our second trip to Folly Beach and honestly we can't wait to come back. We will do everything we can to get to this house again!

This property had everything--Plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms and hang out areas, a clean pool, a breakfast and lunch restaurant two doors down, and walking distance to the shops and beach. We rented a golf cart, but we didn't use it much. Parking was hard to find, so it was just easier to walk to everything. Our group of 10, had a wonderful time exploring and enjoying the Folly Beach area!

We had a great stay! It was comfortable, clean and relaxing. The house had everything we needed including a fully equipped kitchen. The kids loved the pool and the game room. The location was close to everything - the beach, downtown, etc. Would definitely stay here again on our next trip to Charleston.
