All the extras, like the scones and shortbread.

If I am being picky, black out blinds in the bedrooms would be a help with the long summer daylight.

We lived everything about this house and place. Would highly recommend.

We supplied our own breakfast. Milk, sugar tea and coffee supplied.

Only small negative was no shelving in bathroom for toiletries etc.

We were here for 5 days and it made a great base for exploring Orkney Mainland. Good sized duplex with a large living room. Comfortable bed, bedroom was a little small but we put one suitcase in the other bedroom and that worked fine Wifi worked great, Kitchen well stocked.

Nice dettached house with all commodities and a lot of space, parking and kitchen, toilet, etc... 10 minutes by car to Kirkwall

The property was in an excellent location for touring the Island. Grace has the place spotless and fully equipped to cover all needs. Excellent communication. Would highly recommend this property for a stay.

Brilliant property with wonderful hosts - they really went the extra mile to make us feel at home. The house was fantastically equipped to make sure we had a really wonderful stay - games for the kids, biscuits when we arrived, visitors guides, books about the area - they had thought of everything! The house is in a fantastic location, really easy to access everything on Mainland Orkney.

Literally the only suggestion for a slight improvement might be to have some shelves for storage in the main bedroom! Otherwise, everything was perfect!

Nothing that I can think of would make it better

A great little house with everything we needed. It was only a short break but you could stay here much longer with the great facilities. It's a great base for exploring the island and the host made us very welcome; some milk, tea/coffee and biscuits were in the house for the weary traveller who hasn't found the shop yet. Lots of information about local attractions included in the welcome pack with maps, leaflets and bus times. It's in a quiet little close with parking next to the house and good street lighting. There is a padlocked shed to use if you bring bikes or other equipment and well labelled recycling facilities. A great place to stay, highly recommend this place as your Orkney base

Location and comfort

Property in a fantastic central location and was really well equipped throughout and was exceptionally clean. We couldn't ask for more.

Only one slight moan was the shower. An electric shower would be ideal.

We loved the house which was very welcoming, as it was very comfortable with easy to manage heating on cool nights. Very comfortable beds, and very clean. It is a lovely quiet neighbourhood and great for travelling to Stromness or anywhere in the islands. Thank you for everything. Love to come and stay again.

Fabulous little house in a modern complex in a perfect location between Kirkwall and Stromness. I found it extremely comfortable, well equipped and spotlessly clean. The owner Grace passed by- she is lovely and lives across the way from the house so neat if you had any issues. I liked the house so much I have booked it again in a few weeks!

Although it has a shower it is driven by the taps. A power shower would have been nice

Great quiet location, just off the main Stromness to Kirkwall Road. Bungalow was spotlessly clean and plenty of cleaning products left for us to use (a must in these covid times) Good kitchen facilities made catering on a evening easy plus ample fridge/freezer. Liked the small touch of leaving some filter coffee for the cafetiere Plenty of guide/walk books left for guests to use plus selection of board games. Bonus having a SMART TV. Heating easy to use & house was never cold. Comfy bed, with extra pillows if required Grace was a fab host - accommodating our slightly earlier check-in time & explaining how facilities worked. She lived close by so if we had needed her we only had to pop round

The only thing I would change is the shower head - needs to be bigger as flow from shower wasnt great & it took ages to wash my hair
