We had a great stay in Carlsbad. The house was great, close to the beach, and great for a family. Our only complaints were the couches in the living room were rather uncomfortable, and we wish more TP had been provided. 🙄 But overall it was a great vacation.

Had an amazing, much needed, vacation with my kids and 2 of their spouses. It was a beautiful home located within walking distance to shops and beach. Looking forward to renting home in the future!

Little trouble checking in but it was quickly resolved. We had a great time.

Nice little house blocks from Tamarack beach. Could use a few ammenties in the kitchen such as plastic baggies foil and plastic wrap. Nice coffee maker and Starbucks one block away. Very comfortable living room area and beach toys for our little one

GREAT LOCATION- 15 mn walk to the beach- all you need is in this rental . We definitely are coming back ... Alain and nikkie

Place was super clean with all the amenities. My only dissatisfaction was when I was checking out, I noticed place next door had 4 bikes in their garage whereas we had none. Travel south a few miles to avoid beach crowds.

Excellent experience. House accommodated my wife and 2 kids. We stayed for 2 nights and slept well.

Nice, clean, well kept beach house with all amenities. Quiet stay in a nice neighborhood. Walking distance to the beach, Vons, and Starbucks, and a 5 minute drive to Carlsbad Village. Short drive to Legoland and Outlets too. The owners were very responsive and cooperative in their communication. Would stay there again in a heartbeat!

Over all we enjoyed our stay very close to beach and down town the out door space needed to be cleaned up

The house is well stocked. It is quiet inside the house even though it is conveniently close to the freeway. The a/c was great to have. Jim was a pleasure to work with, readily available if needed. My only suggestion would be to have an egg crate mattress,or equivalent, to have on hand for those who like a softer bed. Overall, it was a great place to stay and a great location.

We feel so lucky to have found this property for our trip to San Diego. We love that it's close to the city and convenient to everything, but in quieter Carlsbad. Having three bedrooms is perfect for us and our two kids - on a longer trip it was nice to give them separate spaces to recharge and sleep soundly. Everything was very clean and we were provided with all the basics! The bonus is the washer and dryer; great for messy toddlers and if you want to pack less and then refresh your clothes. The host is super communicative and accommodating as well, which made everything very smooth. Thanks so much!!

Great location to many things such as; grocery store, beach, restaurants, strawberry --picking and much more. The house has beach chairs, beach umbrella and sand castle making stuff. My family and I had a great time in Carlsbad and highly recommend this home.

The location was great. Owner communicated promptly with me. The house was everything he said. Great neighbors. Wonderful surprise fireworks on the 4th of July!!!

Although there was confusion with our door code and actual apartment everything was sorted out. The apartment was clean and very spacious our boys loved their room and the bunk beds! We would def. stay again!

This was a great experience for us. We filled up the place with our 5 kids. They even had a high chair and pack n play so we didn’t have to bring our own. Master mattress was very firm, if you like that. Had everything we needed for a stress free vacation.

Spacious place with good amenities (soap for dishwasher, w/d, beach accessories, coffee pods). Loved that I didn't have to worry about taking care of clean-up, aside from running the dishwasher. Overview email I received a couple days ahead of time had great info in it about the neighborhood, favorite restaurants, etc. The only thing I'd suggest is replacing the carpets and doing some paint touch-ups - that was the only thing that needed some love.

We were so comfortable and happy with the accommodations. Kitchen was well-stocked, there were beach toys, and my kids loved the bunk beds. There were even children’s books to read, so no need to bring your own! We would definitely come back to stay if we are ever back in the area. It’s an easy walk to the beach and easy access to I-5. Property was perfect for our needs! Bedrooms & bathrooms were a great size, backyard was spacious; house was clean with nice appliances. Location was wonderful - such easy access to stores, the freeway, restaurants, and the beach! We would definitely stay here again, and highly recommend it to others. Thank you!

We had a great time! The place is deceptively large and well appointed. It was close to everything : LegoLand, Carlsbad Village, Beach, grocery Store and a Starbucks 😄. They had.all the essentials except for body wash, shampoo and conditioner. There’s a grill that we used two out of the three nights we were there. Jim was kind enough to recommend some great restaurants that we went to and they were fantastic! My only request would be to get blackout shades in the master bedroom, but even without that we would definitely stay here again. Great place for our 2 kids, my mother in law and my husband and me. Thanks you for making our trip so easy and comfortable!

We had a great stay and will be back again. The property owner was very accommodating.

The home is modern and roomy but I can only give this property 3 stars because of the renters in the adjoining property. They were up past 2 a.m. on the adjoining patio shouting, drinking and being obnoxious for both nights we were there at the same time. Children were screaming and running all over. The patio is right by the master bedroom. I won’t be renting a duplex unit for our next vacation.

My wife and I along with our two young children (from NZ) recently met up with my parents (from the UK) for a couple of weeks and we all stayed at this property. Firstly Jim (the owner) could not have been more helpful, he always responded to queries really quickly and provided some great advice on local things to do and places to eat. The house is located in a nice quiet neighbourhood and is relatively close to both the Carlsbad centre and the beach as well as being just a 5 minute drive to Legoland (which is a must do with young kids) and the shopping outlet centre. This made it ideal for our stay as we didn't need to spend to long in the car at any point. The house itself was clean, well stocked with things people would need for a stay and the master bedroom in particular was lovely. Overall I would highly recommend the property.
