Our stay was amazing. The landlord was kind and wonderful. The property was warm and inviting. It had everything you needed to cook, play at the beach, wash your clothing, etc. This property is walkable to the pier, the beach, dinning, and shopping. It was so lovely we actually changed our trip to spend most of the time in the beach and in town.

Excellent host - extremely responsive to WiFi problem. Second time this year we’ve stayed here. Looking forward to next visit!

Great place with cool ocean breezes

Loved this property; short walk to beach, 10 min walk to pier and restaurants. Parking is funky but host sent photo ahead of time that made it perfectly clear -- very nice proactive communication.

This was our second visit, we enjoyed the first visit so much, that we decided to come back, and glad we did. The host goes above and beyond, is easy to communicate with. This is a very close, convenient location to the beach, and so relaxing. We’ll be back again!

We had a great time in San Clemente until the rude neighbor came and banged on the door at 4am claiming we had the music loud when we were indeed asleep other than that it was nice

Property owner responsive and attentive.

We are a retired couple in town for a wedding. Owner was very available and responsive. Perfect for 2 people. Walkable to the SC Pier, beach, and town. Know that there is a hill to walk up from the street and stairs to this upstairs unit. There are washer/dryer and beach toys available. We found this cute place met all our needs for a long weekend. Some noise from neighboring partying but wasn’t a problem. Bed and linens are nice. AC was welcome during this heat wave time. Would return to this place if ever in the area.

Just a short walk to the beach. Clean and bright with lots of windows. Comfy bed. Parking is tricky. We enjoyed our stay.

We had a terrific stay in San Clemete! So close to the ocean and so many fun "toys" to use! The apartment was clean and comfortable. The owner friendly and very responsive. We loved we could walk to the beach or to shopping or dinner. Everything is so close!

This property is well kept, furnished with more than just necessities and steps from the beach path. The owner (who was friendly and helpful) thoughtfully equipped the kitchen with everything needed if you choose to cook. The sheets and towels are excellent quality, and the bed was very comfortable. Even beach chairs, surf boards, and sand toys were provided. The only thing that detracted from the three night stay was extremely loud parties next door every night we were there. I’m aware that the owner has no control over neighbors, it’s just worth noting if you want a quiet vacation.

The rental was in the perfect location. The path to the beach was right down the road! We got to meet the owner when we drove up and he was very helpful in telling us exactly where to park. We drove a large SUV but it was not a problem. The unit was spacious and the area was quiet and cool. We enjoyed our time there!

Our stay was very pleasant. Perfect distance to the beach, shops, restaurants, and more! House was very clean. Private parking was a bit tight for our big truck, but we made it work!

This place is perfect for 2 for a quick weekend getaway. Highly suggest renting a car, as walking is possible but a journey if wanting to do anything. There is a lot of construction going on around other units which makes it loud, but certainly out of the property managers control. Check in was easy & smooth & we were left alone with access to owner if need be. Very cute apartment & would recommend !

This property is super close to the beach, but make sure you understand you are hiking down a steep pitch to get there and then back up again at the end of the day. If you are renting a car, be sure to pick a small car as the parking space is quite tricky to get into, if the bottom unit is rented. The owner was very responsive to my parking issues. The neighborhood is nice. Thank you.

My wife and I wanted a clean and comfortable rental within walking distance of the beach for 3 days and this fit the bill. The apartment was nicely furnished with a comfortable king size bed and lounge chair in the bedroom, two couches in the living room and a table that can sit 4 people comfortably in the dining area adjacent to the kitchen. There was a small balcony off the dining area with a small table and two chairs. The kitchen was nicely laid out with a 4 burner gas stove, full refrigerator, microwave, and cookware. There was no dishwasher but we expected that from reading the reviews. It was no problem for us. The unit has Direct TV that offered a wide variety of programming with flat screen TVs in both the living room and bedroom. There is one air conditioner in the living room but none in the bedroom. Both rooms do have ceiling fans. Since we were there in November there was not a problem with excessive heat in the bedroom. It was nice to have a parking space for our vehicle at the top of the driveway close to the apartment. As mentioned by others the driveway is quite steep and the apartment is on the second floor with about a dozen steps leading up to it. Here again, no problem for us but might be for persons with mobility issues. To get to the beach one only has to walk a short distance to steps leading down to the beach or a ramp connected with the San Clemente bikeway. One can also drive a few blocks to the Linda Lane Parking area for additional beach access. The owner was very easy to work and always available by phone to help to trouble shoot minor issues and to answer questions. All in all, we were very pleased with the apartment and would stay there again if another opportunity should present itself.

We had an amazing time at this rental. The pictures are accurate and the location to the beach is great. I will mention that the access to the beach is a steep hill, however, it is way better than the neighboring access to the beach, those access spots are tons and tons of stairs. We enjoyed the use of the provided beach chairs, boogie boards, and umbrella over the 10 days that we stayed. A few things, the driveway is steep and if someone is staying in the below apartment it can be tight to get in and out, but do not let that deter you from staying here. There are way more pros to this place than cons. The internet in the unit is spotty and would not be good if someone was working during their stay here. The couch and king bed are super comfortable, the water pressure is great and the shower (two shower heads) is amazing. The kitchen was well equipped. The patio is nice but there is not really a view of the ocean. The location is great - we rented bikes for the week and rode down to Dana Point and back a few times on the boardwalk/bike path. Highly recomend staying here and we cant wait to come back.

Great stay, exactly as described

Very clean, great host. The A/C is located in the living room. It gets a little warm in the bedroom but host has provided ceiling fans and additional fans to help push air into bedroom. There is no dishwasher but we only used the kitchen for coffee and drinks so it was a very minor inconvenience. The bed was super comfortable and access to the chairs and other beach items including towels were awesome. Parking is limited and having a smaller SUV was very helpful. We definitely will stay here when in the area again.

We stayed here for 9 days, only reason I cannot give it a 5 was the wi-fi. I was on a working vacation and the wi-fi was a little spotty, not quite enough for clear video calls. The router is not in the same unit, so difficult to reset. Other than that the place was really great, clean comfortable, close to the beach.

Great experience with Bob, he was speedy to reply to our questions and requests. The driveway up to the condo was super steep so we for sure got a good workout throughout the weekend and would caution anyone with impaired gait or assistive device users:). The neighborhood was adorable and enjoyed the quick walk to mariposa beach (with another steep hill):). Overall great experience (in spite of discovering Im in the worst shape of my life!). Would recommend!
