Not our first VRBO at Cushman. You certainly get what you pay for here. It IS rustic, so if that is not your vibe, I would look elsewhere. There is a distinct smell of older home, which as long as you don't mind, it is fine. We did not mind. The basement was great for pool, we played MANY games. The pans were super greasy and need to be cleaned or replaced. The location is perfect. As you can walk to the lake, or use the provided pass. (Saves time driving to another lake spot which is great). The size was MUCH bigger than we thought. Due to an early run in with the next door neighbor, who screamed about our dog getting out (we were unpacking and it was chaos), and then again contacted the host because our kids were acting up retelling the story about the crazy neighbor which put a bit of a damper on the weekend. I'm sure this has been a pain for the host before, as these neighbors had no issues screaming at people for dogs, screaming about fines, when multiple dogs in the neighborhood were off the leash. Usually people are kind at Cushman, so next time we may skip staying in this division just because the neighbor went immediately to nuclear. I feel bad that the host got phone calls, but I'm sure it is not the first!

We loved the house and location. We loved the lake- went kayaking and even took a dip in the bracing water! The house layout was ideal for needs. I love the seclusion yet close to the staircase trails. I just wish that maybe dogs WERENT permitted in the house as one of the grands seemed to be sensitive to it but he really enjoyed being there too. My favorite part was the little stream so tranquil and pretty. It was fun to see so many deer so close up! Thanks for letting us stay. You seemed to think of everything for your guests- Pam

This property was absolute perfection for our getaway with our friends. The location truly takes you away from the hustle, bustle, and noise, and gives you a slice of heaven that truly allows you to disconnect and recoup. I cannot say enough good things about our stay. We definitely plan to come back.

We’ve stayed here twice now and have really enjoyed it. The house is perfect for our family of four and its proximity to the boat launch is convenient. We really love hearing the creek burbling as we enjoy morning coffee on the deck. Kimberly is a great host and very responsive.

My wife rented this cabin for our family for my birthday. It was so fun! Its was super comfortable, everything we wanted to do was so close. We definitely want to come and stay longer next time!

We really enjoyed our stay. The cabin was warm clean and cozy, fantastic. Area was beautiful and quiet in October. Cant wait to come back for a longer stay.

House is great! The location was ideal for our hiking group. Host was awesome and thought of everything. I recommend staying here if you want to hike in the Staircase area or spend time on a Lake Cushman.

We had such a fabulous time at this precious cabin near the lake. Thank you thank you for supplying the cabin with all the necessities, including a great laundry room, garbage service and AC! This is the perfect place in which to relax and breathe in Nature at her best!

What a wonderful week at the lake. The cabin was perfect for our family get together. Lake view, close to two parks, room for our boat and cars, a running creek next to the deck, plenty of sleeping space for all, and in general, it had all the amenities we needed. We'll be back!

Outstanding! Had a short stay family reunion and couldn't have found a better place. Plenty of sleeping arrangements, beautiful cabin and well cared for. Had every amenity you could possibly need and real close to the lake. I took my boat and lots of room to park. Enjoyed the camp fire with the grandkids who of course made smores. The host is very responsive and we would definitely rent again.

The house was completely stocked with everything a person could possibly need. Plenty of room.

This cabin was outstanding! Kimberly went out of her way to be helpful, and was easy to contact. The house is very well stocked with all you'd need to have a nice stay (minus your own food!). We loved the wrap-around porch and view of the lake. The beds were very comfortable.

We enjoyed 3 days at the lake house, the accommodations were perfect for 6 adults. The fire pit was fun too, the view and neighborhood is beautiful and quiet.

Great house, Kimberly! We stayed here with our 3 adult children, and it offered everything we needed. Our “kids” had privacy downstairs, and we had the master. Pool table provided fun competition! The kitchen was fully equipped. The house was spotless. We couldn’t have been more pleased.

This was truly an amazing stay. The cabin is lovely, beds are comfortable, shower was very nice. The pool table added another level of fun. The view of the lake was such a lovely sight. We took two short drives and found trails to explore. The private lake entrance is a stones throw. We booked another holiday the moment we left.

We loved our time on the Olympic peninsula. The kids enjoyed the deer, the creek, and the lake. Inside the setup is great for family time with a pool table, games, DVD’s and space. Great memories!

The cabin was beyond expectations! My friends and I had an absolutely amazing time! Even in the rainy months, there are so many things nearby to explore, and the privacy and cleanliness of the cabin was superb!

Beautiful location- we had never been to Lake Cushman before! We did happen to experience some winter weather, so the road off 101 became a little rough and icy, but we have AWD and 4WD vehicles so it wasn't an issue. The space was great and we had 8 adults (4 couples). We lost power (the whole area did) due to a windstorm on the second to last day. To be fair, it was a really crazy week for weather in the PNW! Kimberly was super communicative and made sure to check in before we checked in to the property to advise us of the weather and road conditions, which I really appreciated. I would definitely love to come back in the summer- we loved the place and the location and it was perfect for Christmas!

I would definitely recommend raising cabin..host was very helpful and always was there for any questions or issues we had.

What a great place for a family vacation! Wonderful comfy family home with a lake view! Fire pit was a hit with my nieces..smores and stories. Walked to the lake every day and was able to have the family dog with us too! We'll be back for sure!!

Wonderful home! We were taking a short trip with the main purpose of hiking with our dog. This home was a delight for that. We all loved the stream and sitting on the deck. There was an awesome bed for the dog who slept soundly on it after a fine day's hiking. The 3 levels provided privacy for adults. Open kitchen/living/dining gave us plenty of together time. Thank you!

The place was absolutely darling. There were 5 of us total + 1 dog - there was so much space and even more space for additional friends for future trips. It was stocked with nearly everything we needed in the kitchen, the beds were very comfortable, the peacefulness of the location was perfect.. I really have no complaints. We will absolutely be back. Kim is very easy to communicate with and was very helpful during our planning process. I appreciated the little gestures she had in the home like a binder full of activities to do in the area, endless DVDs to watch and the signage all over the game room. Highly recommend this place for larger groups.
