We had an amazing time, and can’t wait to go back! The house was perfect for our group. Plenty of room, and close to the beach, the rainforest, and other activities. The back patio was the perfect place to play games and hang out. There were a few kitchen cabinets that were a bit loose, but didn’t affect usability, and I must have misunderstood about the pool when I read the VRBO post regarding the pool. I thought it was at the house, but it is at the amenity center, which is literally a few hundred feet away. Not a big deal, as we spent our time exploring beaches. Also appreciated reading the logbook that previous renters had written in, suggesting places to go!

House was clean and in a nice gated community. It is our second stay in this neighborhood. Great location, our family of four enjoyed!

The house was spacious and comfortable. Check in was easy. We had the pool to ourselves most of the week. The house was close enough that we could do day trips to rain forest, beach, Fajardo for bioluminescent bay and a snorkeling day. Overall, nice stay.

The home and site were clean and reasonably comfortable. While it is called the beach house, it is not within walking distance to the beach. Maybe a five-minute drive depending on the beach you want. There is no dishwasher, but that just made the family interact over doing the dishes. No big deal for us. TV access to any channels or streaming was no existent, but we all read books anyway. The bedrooms were large and comfortable with plenty of storage. The patio was great for morning sun.

The best thing about this stay was that I had efficient communication with Joel. Any question that I had was answered immediately. Beautiful, comfortable home that was very secure. Biggest problem I had was understanding how to use the gate system the first time. That being said, I was less than a minute before the guard came out and showed me what to do. So really my biggest problem was no problem at all. Great stay thanks to Joel.

Clean, well stocked, spacious place as advertised. Great location—close to beach, rainforest and grocery/pharmacy. Short drive to restaurants in central town area and kiosks. 4 adults and two kids-plenty of room for everyone. Love the outdoor covered patio! This was out 2nd time staying at Joel’s place. My kids are already asking if we can go again next year!

The one thing to note about this property is that there is no dishwasher. We didn't need it, but if you are someone that is allergic to washing a few dishes, you may want to look elsewhere. Joel was great to work with, the property was clean, and right where we wanted to be - away from the traffic of San Juan and closer to nature.

The house was exactly as stated in the ad. It was clean, had a great location in a safe neighborhood, amd the host was very responsive. We will be staying here again!

The stay here was overall great! We did have some concerns with the air conditioner leaking, and the stove where we had to call for maintenance. The problems were resolved very quickly for the most part. Otherwise, this was amazing for my family and I. Very clean, amazing location, near a bunch of food and shops and a really nice beach. Overall we were more than happy with our stay!

The house is really close (<10 min drive) to Luquillo Beach, Luquillo central square/restaurants, grocery/pharmacy and 15-20 drive to El Yunque rainforest.

The location was terrific! Lots of things to do in a short distance. The home was nice but could use a little touch up work. Comfortable beds with working Wi-Fi.

Great location, great host, very comfortable home and great experience! Joel was very attentive and accommodating. The entry process into the gated community was a tiny bit confusing, but not a big deal. We would love to stay here again!

Felt Like home, was able to talk to home owner and I felt like I was talking to a family.

Pictures were accurate. It’s a nice property with a lot going on in the backyard. Cows, fruit trees etc. it was nice having boogie boards to use. Property could use a little maintenance (dishwasher). But nothing to ruin our stay.

The house was very nice, clean and it has a good location, however there were multiple things that were not working such as: dishwasher was out of service, one of the air conditioners leaked water all over the living room, the magnetic bar that lets you in and out of the gated community gate did not work and the worst was that when we tried to use the pool area, (which was stated on the web site and in all the paperwork that we could use) we were told by a security guard that renters were not allowed to use the pool or any of the clubhouse facilities. It was very dissappointing, We contacted the owner regarding all the above issues, he had many excuses, the air conditioner finally got fixed on Friday the day before we were scheduled to leave. I would have given this property 5 stars had it not been for all of the above issues.

Joel was very helpful. He made sure everything ran smooth. The house looked 20 times better than in the pictures. It was so spacious and very well maintained. We will be right back 😍 thank you Joel for everything.

We had a very pleasant stay. The house certainly met our needs for our week. It is close to the beach and lively restaurants. Many good things about the house: the layout with 4 bedrooms upstairs, nice patio and Mountain View, the linens were clean and new, adequate dishes and cookware. However, there were a bunch of individually small things that detracted from a great stay, mostly simple housekeeping details, such as the dishwasher being out of service, a dirty stove with only 2 working burners, missing batteries and lightbulbs. While the community pool is not currently accessible, the beaches are close by and excellent. With some attention to fairly obvious housekeeping, also noted by earlier guests in the guest book, this would be a great property.

The property itself is gorgeous and spacious. The owner was responsive to phone calls. However there was no hot water in the shower. There were small bugs crawling on the table and roaches crawling on the counter tops. Was initially given the incorrect gate codes.

We had a wonderful time at this property! The location in Luquillo was perfect, in a quiet neighborhood but easy access to all the places you would like to see in Puerto Rico. The house was spacious and clean, and all the rooms had comfortable beds. We had some issues with wifi which was very spotty. The kitchen although it had all necessities, the stove was not fully functional, some if the burners didn’t work. The community is gated and the device for gate access didn’t work, however the guard usually would open the gate for access. Also, Joel was a wonderful host who was easy to reach for help when needed. My only complaint would be that the instructions for checkout required stripping the bedding, as well as washing and putting away all used towels! After paying what I thought was a generous fee for cleaning services, we thought that that was a bit too much. Also we worried wether the previous renters has washed the towels or simply put them back into the closet!

Great house to do our excursions from! Everyone had a bedroom and had plenty of room for all 5 of us. Well appointed kitchen and big screen for the kids to play their video games after a long day exploring. Highly recommend.

From the moment I contacted Joel about his property he was quick to respond and very helpful in answering my questions. My family and I had been staying in another property and were having a lot of trouble with the house and also the host so we decided to look for another place to stay so it was a last minute booking. We are so happy we found Joel’s home! It was just as advertised and very spacious. It has everything you would need for a beach vacation. The communication was great and we could tell that Joel was really invested in making sure his guests enjoyed their stay in his home and had a great vacation. We will definitely be back and are looking forward to our next stay there!

Nice house that worked perfectly for our group of 7.

Joel’s house is beautiful and spacious. It was perfect for my family of 4 adults and 2 teenagers. The community is beautiful and peaceful and we were close to a number of attractions. Joel was also responsive when we had questions. We enjoyed our stay and would book with Joel again if we go back to Puerto Rico.

Great location, quiet, close to highways but off the beaten path. Nice home to return to after a busy day out. Necessities provided (towels, kitchenware, sheets) Very spacious and clean. More than enough space for our family of 6. Would stay here again. Very Welcoming. No issues at all in our 7 day stay

We celebrated my little sisters 21st birthday and decided to visit Puerto Rico for the occasion since it was our first time to the island and it’s been a long while since traveling. The house was absolutely amazing and all of us were able to be comfortable in the stay. I definitely only want to stay here when we come back (planning to make this an annual trip) the property was close to everything we wanted to do; beach, rainforest, local restaurants. The only thing I would suggest is the cleaning company stepping up their game, it seemed as though they only reset the property and not actually “clean” after each guest. Even with that the property wasn’t dirty just items that we noticed wasn’t touched (i.e closet racks). We were so grateful because I actually messed up on my dates and showed up a day early and was still able to be accommodated (I believe this speaks to some of the other items that weren’t necessarily cleaned (i.e the blender). All in all Joel was an amazing host and his home will surely become our “home away from home”!
