We enjoyed the house and its location greatly as it was a 10 minute walk to the lighthouse and north beach shoppes and around the corner from a good restaurant - Cockspur Grill (named after the old lighthouse in the Savannah river). Tammy was very attentive and helpful and made sure everything was to our liking.

The mermaids were very helpful. They reached out to me when my initial house became unavailable due to plumbing issues and quickly provided options for a new house we could rent for the same weekend. The mermaids also checked in through text during the stay as well to ensure our stay was comfortable.

The decor is strange and for a rental. Some of the paintings are dark and dreary and the religious decor doesn't fit the quaintness of this cottage. We are people that love fresh air and the windows do not open. The living room furniture has covers on them and are always in shambles. There is attic space and another bathroom upstairs which would add to the quaintness of the cottage however it is locked and not useable. Deck off the kitchen could use an update as well. We have made Rose's our home away from home for a few years. We hope that others enjoy the quaint but quirkiness of Rose's Folie.

The cottage was cute and comfortable for my family of three and our dog - who enjoyed the enclosed yard and nearby park. A bit drafty but who knew Tybee would have its coldest temps in decades during our stay? Close enough to the beach and near some great restaurants (Chamacos or Huc-a-Poos, anyone?). Would recommend for those who enjoy charming character in their vacation rentals. Diane and staff were great and even offered an extra day for free. Would rent again.

We absolutely loved our time here! It was a short 3-minute bike ride from the beach, so we were there constantly! The house is cute, and the property managers were excellent. We will definitely be back!

This cottage had everything we needed for a great weekend! The downstairs bedrooms were very comfortable. I suggested they add a light near the key holder to make it easier for late checking to find.

Had such a fantastic time. Great rental property. Let us know about fireworks for the weekend and was in constant contact in case we needed anything.

We spent a weekend in Tybee for our annual fossil shark's tooth hunt, and this house was perfect! It was very clean and welcoming, and the staff was super helpful and friendly. As advertised, the house is on a main road and there is quite a bit of traffic that comes by, but it was easy to get in and out of the driveway, and at night people were very respectful of noise levels. It seemed a little quieter than the other side of the island, and I loved being so close to the lighthouse and checking out the historical district. We definitely enjoyed staying here and would stay here again!

We enjoyed our time at Rosie’s Follie! Very friendly staff at the Mermaid cottages with personalized touches such as dropping off beach toys with a welcome note for our 2 year old granddaughter, such a sweet touch! The North area the house is located on was the perfect side to be steeped with history and peaceful moments without all the hustle of the crowds from the south side . This cottage is welcoming and has fun and eclectic art finishes that stir up the imagination . A beautiful piece of history to experience on Tybee Island, highly recommend!

My girlfriend and I were looking for a little weekend getaway and stumbled across Ed this listing on VRBO. We both knew right away that this was the place we wanted stay. Check in was easy, the communication with the rental staff was excellent and they were always there to answer any questions. Not too far from beach access. Would definitely recommend!

House was great for our family with 3 kids under 5. Close proximity to everything, and very walkable to the beach, local playground, light house, marine science center etc. Will consider staying here again in the future.

We made Christmas dinner and a birthday dinner and found the kitchen to be very well-stocked and useful. The upstairs area is much bigger than would be indicated by the pictures. In front of the beds there's a section double the size pictured that is great for the kids to play or to set-up a pen for the dogs if you leave them at home. We however, never had to leave the dogs alone at home since we found Tybee and Savannah to be extremely dog-friendly. The front yard was perfect for my 18 and 25-lb dogs, they weren't able to fit through the fence so were well-confined. The staff were also very responsive to requests and questions. The only caveat is that the internet connection is slow, so people may want to keep that in mind if they need to use the internet to work or watch movies. Overall, a wonderful stay.

The cottage had a well stocked kitchen, which was nice, but we did not use it except for storing drinks in the fridge. The living room had comfortable sofas for watching television. The bedrooms on the first floor, both were comfy and the bathroom had plenty of towels. Heading upstairs was somewhat difficult to manage with luggage, but I survived it. The upstairs was a bit warm, even with the two air cooling units being used. Keeping an upper floor cool in an older home is difficult, so I was not too concerned about it. My wife, though opted to use one of the bedrooms on the first floor due to it being cooler. Having the Mermaid App was great. The messages and phone conversations with the Mermaids was much appreciated. The reservation process was easy and presented no problems. I was pleased to have stayed at this cottage and to have used the Mermaids. Can not wait to return and would definitely stay here again.

The Mermaids kindly let me rent it for one night. I arrived a lot later than I thought, about 9:30, so exhausted. I found the cottage easily and it was spotless. Lamps were lit, soft music was playing on the TV, and it was a welcome feeling to open the door and see how cute it was! The cottage has some cookbooks in the kitchen and one of them made my mouth water with all of its seafood recipes. I think it was called Savannah’s Classic Seafood Recipes. (I ordered it from Amazon,). Although I didn’t have much time in the cottage, it is so roomy and cute. I checkout out the kitchen and it looked like it had enough pans and equipment so you can cook your meals easily. While this is on the North end of the island and I have a soft spot for the South end, this would be a great place to add to your list of cottages to stay in.
