This is a lovely modestly-sized property that really tracks the Santa Cruz vibe. It is ideally situated on a quiet side street that dead-ends at a fantastic beach. To get to the beach there is a cliff with about 40 steps down/up to the beach, but isn’t an issue unless you have mobility issues. The deck is lovely and you can relax in the hot tub. Parking is on the street, but wasn’t an issue apart from Saturday afternoon, when we needed to park a few doors down, but not a big deal. The owners were very friendly and communicated in great detail in a timely manner. It was a wonderful week!

The owner was friendly and communicative. The house was clean and had ample towels, linens, etc. The decks were so nice to hang out on after being at the beach. It was a short walk to the beach - we brought a wagon to help with our stuff to and from the beach. We would happily return for another visit.

This is the second time my family and I have stayed at this beach house. This home has the perfect beach vibe with it being steps from the beach and with a very comfortable setting.

We really enjoyed our stay at this charming, comfortable and well stocked house with a fun 1970's vibe. Great location and proximity to several beaches. The big hot tub was wonderful. We would definitely stay here again!

What a little treasure this home was. Comfortable and charming with a spectacular location. We’ve never stayed in this part of Santa Cruz . We enjoyed it and would love to come back.

We loved the cool beach vibe. My daughter was snapping pics of the house. Fun to have a hot tub too. We visited the Monterey Aquarium and We watched surfers, seals and tide pools around Santa Cruz. Great spot for families!

Old 70s built cool house in a great location. Comfortable, quiet, great desk for telecommuting. Nice hot tub. Overall really enjoyed our stay.

We truly enjoyed our stay here. The house is ideal for the neighborhood and we loved how in/out doors blended so well. For almost all of the week it was myself/wife/teenage daughter here and there was plenty of space. One day we had 3 more people here and still it felt spacious. We loved the distressed wood and how the house was decorated, and felt the beds were ideal for a good night’s sleep. Kitchen was was equipped and I think every meal we had was eaten at the table outside — very smart to place the table where the morning sun is! We definitely made use of the hot tub after a long day at the beach, and appreciated the outdoor shower to keep down the amount of sand getting inside. Shyamal was always available should we have a question and the check in/out was a breeze. Beach is a block away and it has been our favorite Santa Cruz beach for years, so you cannot beat the location.

I stayed at Shyamal’s property with my wife and 3 year old daughter for a week in July. We had a wonderful time. The house is a short walk (about 5 minutes with a 3 year old) to a lovely beach. The neighborhood is quiet and safe, and we really enjoyed walking to many of the nearby restaurants for dinner. There is no dedicated driveway, but we easily found parking right out front each day without fail (even on busy beach days in July.) The house was very cute and well maintained. The wifi was fast and we easily signed into our streaming services on the smart TV. Shyamal provided plenty of towels and kitchen essentials, and we did a few loads of laundry throughout the week. We absolutely loved relaxing in the hot tubs in the evenings, and listening to the waves from the upstairs deck. It was a fantastic place to stay on all fronts, and we would love to return in the future.

Family trip with my mom and kids. Place had everything we needed. Walk to the beach was maybe two blocks. We could access the beach from a different location by walking another two blocks (stairs were not as steep). Great stay!

Our family of 3 and our small dog had a great long weekend at this home. The close access to an awesome beach was a major highlight - a few minutes of a stroll and you're there. The home was very clean and comfortable - especially the beds, which is always a huge plus with vacation rentals. Our hosts were quick to respond and easy to communicate with regarding anything that came up for us during our stay. While it was made clear that some neighbors were sensitive to noise, we didn't have an issues and it was easy to be mindful. We would definitely come back to this house!

This was one of the BEST trips we’ve had to Santa Cruz! The house is located right near the beach. It’s a quiet neighborhood. The layout of the house is perfect! We will definitely be back!
