Our stay was 9 days and from the time we opened the we were impressed. Very clean,close to the beach and shopping. Everything was great!

Stayed five days. Very comfortable right in the middle of Carlsbad we could walk to everything!

The location was great. Close to the beach. Close to the Coaster. Close to restaurants. Much roomier and homier than nearby hotels I'd previously stayed in. The kitchen had everything I needed, except a tea pot 😁. As a visitor from North Carolina I couldn't believe a hurricane warning put a damper on the last day of my trip🌧!

This is a perfect location to get anywhere in Carlsbad. We walked to the beach, dinner, shopping etc. The kitchen is stocked with supplies, plenty of towels and a comfy bed. As stated in other reviews the upstairs neighbor does walk a little heavy footed and there is a bar behind the complex, we went to bed at 11pm every night with no issues and slept very comfortably. The complex is quiet, dedicated parking, great patio for morning coffee. It is really a great unit.

Super close to Carlsbad Inn, beach, and excellent pastry shop

Perfect location for those without a car. The Harbor Cafe has beach chairs and umbrellas to rent ($10/day) and there is a very clean restroom (State Beach). The Village has many restaurants easily within walking distance; favorites include Carlsbad Danish Bakery & The Goods for danishes, donuts, and coffee; Gonzo Ramen, Fresco Cocina (Happy Hour margaritas), Bluewater Grill. The apt has been aptly reviewed: comfortable bed, well-equipped kitchen (we did not use), wonderful fans. We moved (and returned) a lamp from the bedroom which helped with lighting in LR. The only downsides: cleaning crew needs to do a better job in the bathroom (hair in tub and towels); we replaced with white fluffy towels from closet. The crew should have noticed a chair leg needed to be tightened when they moved it to clean the floor (I almost fell & we tightened the bolt) The sliding glass door is very difficult to open/close. Thank you for the leftover roll of TP and paper towels as it helped to supplement what we brought and used up. Park Restaurant was not a problem as noise stopped early (8:30-10:30 PM). Wonderful stay!

Comfortable bed

This is a condo in a collection of condos near the heart of Carlsbad. The kitchen is remodeled and well stocked with everything needed. The bed is very comfortable, and the bathroom is clean (as us the whole condo) with a great shower. There is a nice closed in seating area just outside the sliding glass door in front for morning coffee. There are a few small things that caused me not to give it 5 stars which might not be important to others. Although it was mentioned in the lengthy rental contract, the lack of provision of paper products (napkins, paper towels, TP) and trash bags was an inconvenience. Also, the sliding glass door out to the patio took a lot of force to open and close. Both my wife and I are avid readers and the lack of a comfortable chair (although there was a comfortable couch) and lamps (only overhead lighting) for reading was another inconvenience. The host was very quickly responsive to questions. Overall I would stay here again.

Excellent location and nicely updated condo with comfortable beds. A sound machine or small fan does wonders for street noises.

Cleanliness was missing, there is mold in the bathroom window, that window doesn't lock, the blinds, light fixtures, furnace all need deep cleaning. I was there for a month and there were no cleaning supplies provided? The people upstairs are heavy footed and they have a dog so when they play with it that is noisy.

This was the perfect setting for our stay in Carlsbad. We were able to walk to beach and Carlsbad Village. Highly recommend.

The couch was not comfortable for sitting as the cushion kept sliding out.

We were easily within walking distance (2 blocks) from the state beach. Walked it several times. Breakfast right across the street and a great nitrogen ice creamery close too.

This property was perfect for our little family. This is a gem of a place with easy access to the beach and Carlsbad Village.

What a fantastic location in the Village, close to everything, made for a great spot to enjoy the water and everything in the village and all at a great price.

Perfect spot for my wife and 1 year old daughter to vacation in Carlsbad after moving away

We had a very enjoyable stay. This condo is located just minutes from the ocean. It is within walking distance from a large variety of restaurants and bars. This was a great location to visit my son stationed at Camp Pendleton. It gave him a break from that area and provided entertainment all just a stoll away.

Such a great rental. Loved the full kitchen and location.

Close to everything, didn't need a car. Nice new appliances. Just enough space for 3 or 4 adults. Quiet ( you stop noticing the train noise pretty quickly)

This is a great location in a beautiful complex close to everything - beach, seafront walk, Village, and train . The downside of being this close to the Village have been noted by others (and we agree), specifically that the bedroom window of this unit backs up to the very popular bar/nightclub Park 101. Bring your earplugs if you like to turn in before 11:30 on the weekends. Otherwise, this is a great place to stay, and Steve is a wonderful host, responsive and helpful. We stayed for almost 5 weeks in Nov-Dec. The kitchen is well stocked, unit is very comfortable with nice bed/bedding/linens, etc. Great shower pressure! Nice little patio for enjoying morning coffee, and the communal BBQ was nice to have. We really enjoyed it and highly recommend this place. Thanks Steve!

Came to visit Are son who lives in Carlsbad and happy we found this great little affordable place to stay. Very short walk to Beach, restaurants, shops and train. There was a nice outdoor bar and restaurant next door that had music on Friday and Saturday night till 11:30 which might bother so people but wasn't a problem for us. Thanks Steve for being very accommodating and your quick E-mail responses.

Excellent distance to beach, shopping and specialty stores. I thought the Unit nice overall, however the 4 star rating is because top fridge had cobwebs and spiders.

Location was perfect. The rental was a great size for us. We could walk everywhere we wanted to go.

Amazing location, very clean and perfect for an extended weekend for us. Host was very quick to answer any questions. I look forward to staying here again.

Fabulous little condo. Location is great. Easy to walk through Carlsbad village for dinner and shopping.

This location had many pros but a few cons. It's right in the center of everything and it's much more spacious than a hotel room. There's a train station within walking distance which makes for a fun trip to San Diego, this is both a pro and con. You will hear this train all day long. During the week the bar that is right night next to the bedroom is relatively quiet. During the weekend though the bar blast loud music until late. If you're young and hip without kids it's ideal. If you're on a family trip and did a whole exhausting day at Sea World with a strong desire to pass out at 10pm only to hear "that Laffy taffy oh that Laffy taffy" on loop with other 90's hits it's less than ideal. Our kiddos slept on the Murphy bed in the living room and could not hear the music but my hubby and I had to stay up till after 11:30 until the music finally ended. Again not a big deal if you're looking to soak up the social scene or mentally prepared not sleep until midnight on the weekends. Overall it was cheaper, more spacious and a better location than staying at a low budget chain hotel so we were happy. The condo has everything you need too with a cute little patio to enjoy morning coffee etc so for us the pros outweighed the cons.

I came to visit Carlsbad and some old friends and to eat and surf. I used to live behind the Army/Navy Academy 20 years ago and have visited a few other times. This was one of the best units I have stayed in. Clean, good layout, secure, OUTSTANDING kitchen and supplies for cooking, spacious, great bed, fast Wify, location can't be beat for access to food, entertainment, and of course surf. Overall I give this 5 stars. The only negative has been mentioned by others...the 101 nightclub/bar next door has music/dancing till midnight Friday-Sunday. No biggie for me, my wife had a little trouble sleeping. BUT, we already knew about it from previous reviews.

Nice place in a great location. Quiet community minutes from the sand. This was our second stay at this property.
