We enjoyed the cabin and the area. The cabin was comfortable and had everything we could possibly need for our stay, actually more amenities than most other rental properties we have stayed in. A big plus was the pontoon. It was a very nice boat for it being a rental. Fishing on the lake was good, all varieties of fish. Campfires at night were a nice relaxing end to each day. Crosslake was a cute little town that was was only a few minutes away. The large grocery store was a plus as well as cute shops and restaurants. We would definitely stay here again.

Our favorite place to end out the summer. We’ve been going to this wonderful spot for at least 8 years and next year we are adding a second week.

Great stay on O'Brien Lake. The kids and dogs enjoyed swimming and snorkeling in the clear water, and playing on the Lilly Pad right at the dock. Caught a couple nice fish on the lake. Great stay!

We had a wonderful week at your cabin. We had beautiful weather so we enjoyed taking the pontoon out on the lake, floating in the water, going for walks and sitting on the deck looking at the lake. We will definitely be coming back!

The cabin was clean and fit our families needs. We had a blast on the pontoon and Chris was very responsive with any questions we had. The lake was a bit weedier than we would have liked so we swam off the pontoon.

Our stay was perfect. The lake is clean, quiet and had fish which made the anglers happy! House is clean and modern and comfortable with a large new deck over looking the shoreline. Was a great place and hope to go back!

We thoroughly enjoyed our holiday stay on Lake O’Brien. Weather was amazing, and the pontoon boat availability was a huge bonus. Our son loved the paddleboard and we capped off each evening with a great campfire. Thank you Chris and Steve!

Love staying at Lake O’Brien at this cabin. Always clean, well supplied with the necessary ‘toys’ - lily pad, pontoon & paddle board. Very comfortable.

We had a wonderful short trip up north! The Cabin was perfect for our family. Lots of fishing, boating, paddle boarding and relaxing! We can’t wait to go back next year.

I can't say enough nice things about our experience renting this lovely home from Chris. I was an early adopter of VRBO, and have been renting places 3-4 times a year for the last 15 years, and this was one of the easiest and most relaxing experiences I've had yet. The house was PERFECTLY equipped with everything you'd need, the beds were super comfortable, the seating areas were great, the outdoor toys/ boat/paddleboard were FANTASTIC, the views stunning, the deck was amazing, the lake was sandy. In short, it was perfect. Also, a quick shout out to Crow Wing Rentals if you want an extra paddleboard or a kayak as we did. Super easy!

We absolutely loved our stay! The lake was so peaceful, and we were surprised by how quiet it was. The bunk bed room on the lower level was great for our three kids, and we loved having the windows open to hear the loons at night and early in the morning. The lake was calm, warm and great for fishing, and made even better by having access to the pontoon, lilly pad, and the paddle board. Chris also made everything so easy with his communication! Thanks for an amazing stay!

What a relaxing cabin. We really enjoyed the peaceful setting and the pontoon rides. We saw lots of wildlife, used the grill and swam at the sandbar. We will definitely be back. Thank you Chris.

My family enjoyed our stay at Chris' cabin. It was just as described. We couldn't get over how close it was to the water. Literally steps away. We spent our days boating on the pontoon, relaxing on the deck, playing in the sandbar on the lake, and spending quality time as a family. The cabin itself has everything you need to make your stay comfortable. I really appreciated having spices, oil, paper towels, toilet paper, saran wrap, tinfoil, and plastic baggies. That normally doesn't come with a rental! It helped on the packing for sure. My kids LOVED the lily pad and fishing off the dock. The only downfall to this cabin is there is only one bathroom. Chris lists this in the description but there were times when we could have used two for sure. Besides that, we absolutely loved our stay and will be back for sure!

I wanted to turn around and return as soon as we left. This was a great trip! We are a family of four but there was plenty of room for more. The cabin is clean and comfortable. We stayed during the weekday and the neighbors were gone so it felt like we had the lake to ourselves. Loved fishing off the private dock. The lily pad and paddle board were much enjoyed. The pontoon ran perfectly and was so nice to have available to use anytime we felt like going for a ride. There is a lakeside firepit we also enjoyed. The cabin has a beautiful lakeside deck with great rocking chairs to sit and enjoy the view. It was so cool to see and hear the loons on the lake. It was a plus to have the washer and dryer if needed. If it is available do not hesitate to book! We can not wait to be able to return.

The property is in very good shape and well maintained. The pontoon is was very nice and runs well. Lastly the communication with the property owner/manager is exceptional.

We love this property! We booked last year and knew we would be interested in coming back. The neighbors are all very friendly and quiet. We were worried with the 4th that it would be a week of fireworks, but it was limited to the city’s celebration and the following night a house across the lake. Chris is always very good with communication. We had some issues with the well and no water, but we kept Chris informed and he did get someone to come look at it the day we were checking out. House was clean and loaded with all the things you need so you aren’t hauling everything! One thing to consider in the future would be a retractable baby gate on the deck for small kids and maybe something in the upstairs railing due to spacing. Our oldest is expecting and that would be a consideration next year. Don’t think twice, great place to stay!

Such a wonderful week that always goes too fast. Lake is not a "busy" one with tons of boats. Dock and deck are so wonderful to just sit and relax the day away. Fishing is successful too!

Chris was wonderful to work with and very accommodating. The house was well equipped with everything you could need. Loved being steps from the lake. 2 year old granddaughter loved the sandy bottom of the lake and the pontoon!

Everything about this cabin is as described. Great location, close proximity to town of Crosslake. The reason for 4 stars on neighborhood, is cabin is very close to neighbors with family and small children on the weekends, so not very private. Wasn't an issue for us, but may be for some. Overall, enjoyed our stay.

Great stay! The fishing off the dock was amazing. We caught bass, sunníes, hybrids, crappies and norther pikes. Great cabin for families as the kids loved the bunk beds. Stocked with the necessities and more. The pontoon is amazing and luxurious. Very responsive hosts and very polite even after our dog caused some issues.

Started on a sour note as we didn't have any water the first night due to a bad pump switch. Being told to hit the breaker and mess with the switch didn't seem safe. Things happen and the problem was taken care of the next day. The rest of the stay was great except the cleaning person showed up at 9 the day of check when the check out time was supposed to be 10.

Everything was great. We were very comfortable. And enjoyed the Lake views and closeness to the water.

Really great property, and just so amazing to be able to cruise the lake in the pontoon. Only catch was on delivery of check-in instructions. Even though we'd reached out multiple times, we did not receive them until 15 minutes before check in, and had just completed an 8 hour drive to get there. In the end Chris did deliver the check in email and code, and everything was perfect.

The cabin and facility was top notch. We were going to relax and do a little fishing. With the owner making available his Pontoon, it made it so nice not having to haul mine. Will be back!

My friends and I were looking for a relaxing and fun lake weekend and this cabin delivered in spades. The space is very comfortable, clean, and well appointed. The layout was perfect for hanging out and also gave us plenty of bedrooms to split off into. The deck has a gorgeous view of the lake which we enjoyed while having lunch outside or with our morning coffee. But the best part hands down was access to the pontoon. We had such a wonderful time lazily boating up and down the lake. Highly recommend this cabin to anyone looking for a memorable lake weekend trip.

Great time with friends for a Fall "girls" getaway at this cabin. Love the north this time of year. Warm days, cool nights, quiet lake. Lots to do in surrounding towns. Cabin well kept with everything we needed.
