The beach was amazing. The weather even allowed a September swim! We loved the fireplace in the “dog trot”!

5 couples who have been longtime friends. We have been going to VRBOs for over 23 for a fall getaway and this is one of the nicest. I think we spent the most time in the open area between the house and the garage. It’s covered, has a huge fireplace and a beautiful view of the lake. Everything is meticulously spelled out before we arrived and all our needs were met. The owners were great to work with. Hopefully they will let us come back for many years.

What a wonderful stay we had at this property with our adult children and grandchildren. The home and property were even better than advertised. The lake view is breathtaking from so many parts of the house and property. Easily facilitates comfortable time together and time for personal reflection. Our grandchildren loved the beach. HIGHLY recommend. We can't wait to stay again. .

We’ve be going on Labor Day vacations, between 4 families (11 kids total), for the last 3 years. This house more than accommodated a group of our size and the amenities were perfect for young families. Great outdoor space, big yard, and a sandy beach. Craig and Angi were easy to work with and very accessible. We’d definitely go back!

We had a wonderful week. The house was perfect for a large group of people. The little kids particularly loved the sandy beach and shallow clear water next to the beach. Fishing off the dock was good also. We had no issues or problems of any kind.

Beautiful home on private Ox Lake. Perfect for family’s and friends to have an extended get away. The owner of the home was nothing but awesome and easy to work with keeping us informed on all of the details of the home.

Clays house is a great space to spend a weekend with a large group of people. Communication was great anytime we had an issue. The house was clean and ready to use. I would stay again and recommend to anyone.

We stayed here with seven adults and four children. There was tons of space for us, which can’t fully be seen in the photos on the listing. The place is really really nice, a grand cabin feel like something you would experience in the mountains out west. We loved the stay, and I’d expect it’s even better in the summer. Close to bars, a brewery, coffee shops, and a market. Would recommend this place to large groups!

Beautiful home and fun for everyone from ages baby to adult! Our kids loved the play room which was so nice to keep them occupied, the view of the lake is incredible and the house is clean, cozy and everything we wanted for a relaxing Christmas weekend. The owner is great, thorough and prompt. Would love to go back again!

This property was a perfect fit for our family Thanksgiving week long celebration. The two kitchens made the meal prep so easy. There is such great living space on multiple levels which provided privacy and very adequate room for the kids to play and the adults to enjoy conversation and beverages! The view of the lake from the big windows was priceless and so amazing to wake up to each morning. We were able to take the kids star gazing at night and have an outdoor fire in the dog trot along with hot cocoa. The snow we received right before our arrival gave an enchanting northwoods experience for all of us. Being allowed to bring our dogs made it seem more like home and we are so grateful for that. Clay and Angi were available and quick to respond to any questions. The multiple bedrooms, main floor master bedroom, multiple fireplaces and overall lay out of the home was fabulous and very accommodating for our 2 daughters/ son in law, 4 grandchildren and ourselves. We truly enjoyed this beautiful home for our small intimate wedding! It was accommodating to all our guest and we even got to see a few deer guest while we were there. Communication with the owners was smooth.

Everything about this property is excellent, inside and out. We particularly appreciated the sand beach. Perfectly decorated and appointed, this lake house is a super location for a family vacation!

This property is everything the past reviews stated. Beautiful trees and great shoreline! We had 16 people from age 4 to 75 with plenty of room. We lucked out with fantastic weather so all days were spent outside and thoroughly enjoyed!

The photos do not do this house justice. It easily accommodated 8 adults and 5 children ages 5-9. 6 bedrooms plus sleeping nook were very comfortable. The beach was wonderful for the children with plenty of space for adults to sit. Ox Lake is clear and calm- perfect for swimming, kayaking and paddle boarding.

We were fortunate to stay at this beautiful property for our annual summer vacation. 3 families with a total of 6 children under age 7 stayed in this lovely home. The house is wonderful, large enough that everyone has their own space. The views of the lake are gorgeous and peaceful. The children played on the beach and in the perfectly clear lake for hours on end, every day, and never got tired of it. The homeowners are incredibly responsive and helpful. This was the perfect property for our vacation, and we hope to come back next summer!

Beautiful house and the pictures do not do it justice. Tons of space, exceptionally clean, beautiful grounds. It was everything we needed and then some. Great location and close to our daughters wedding at Pine Peaks. Only regret is that we didn't get to spend more time there!! Owner is very easy to work with.

10 of us enjoyed our time at Ox Lake for Mother’s Day. Plenty of space to spread out and congregate or rest in solitude. Great for a spring weekend watching the ice out on the lake and I’m sure it’s awesome in the summer.

Clay's property in Cross-lake is amazing. Working with Clay is also excellent. We unfortunately had brutal weather for the start of May, but it did not take away from the fun with help from the outdoor fireplace and the pool table in the basement. Plenty of space for our group of 12 - especially love the bedrooms that are tucked away for those looking to sleep while others are still playing cards etc. One thing I'd recommend is "polishing" the cabin to give it a rental/hotel feel. Having to bring toilet paper, paper towels, and then also only having 7 miss-matched coffee mugs (when you have 12 guys) and one functioning pool cue are minor details that make staying there a little less pristine. Love the property, but continuing to invest in the amenities that make it great are also important. Would love to visit again sometime.

My family had a wonderful reunion in this spacious house. We were able to cook meals with their WOLF oven/stovetop and fully stocked kitchen. The mother-in-law suite was a great way for us to really spread out. 5 stars!

House is in a convenient location in the Crosslake area close to groceries, local restaurants and activities. It is perfect for adults as well as children young and teenage. The owners are amazing to work with, have the utmost care for their home and your experience while you enjoy your stay. The owners are extremely responsive to inquiry and any issues that arise.

This is a beautiful place to stay! We had 12 people stay here for a 40th birthday gathering for my wife and it was perfect! Plenty of space for everyone, large kitchen for all meals and great location for shopping or a night out. It also has friendly neighbors and Clay was very responsive if we had any questions! We would love to stay again sometime

We do a winter getaway for mom‘s, dad‘s, grandma and all the grandkids. We do this instead of Christmas gifts. This year we stayed closer to home so that we could go sledding and ice fishing and enjoy a little winter fun! And boy did we have fun! The guys and kids ice fished a bit, we did some sledding , played games, ate lots of food and spent lots of time together! This house was perfect for 13 of us. It accommodated everyone and there was plenty of space without feeling like you were on top of each other. Clay is wonderful to communicate with and honestly the house was immaculate. It’s absolutely gorgeous! A well stocked kitchen allowed us to prepare all of our meals at the house, provided two gathering areas for hanging out and comfortable sleeping. So happy we found it and would love to stay again!

We had 10 family members there for our annual family snowmobile trip. Very spacious, snowmobile trail runs on the roadside across from the driveway. Perfect for a large family gathering!

I am not one for glowing reviews, but I must make an exception property. Superlatives to describe this residence and our stay there would be redundant. The view of the lake was beyond fantastic. The house left very little to be desired. In addition, the couple of small questions we had were addressed immediately by the owner, who was very responsive. The house itself had three sleeping levels which accommodated nicely those of us with various sleep patterns. I was in the main flour master suite and was never bothered by noise from the rest of the house. The master suite consisted of a spacious bedroom with a dressing room, gas fireplace, cable tv and bathroom with a jacuzzi bathtub and rain shower in addition to the gorgeous views. Just outside the suite was an additional bathroom as well as a first flour laundry. The living room/dining room was spacious, yet felt cozy with another gas fireplace and outstanding views of the lake. The additional bedrooms upstairs and down, were all clean and spacious. The upstairs also featured a play area for little ones and the downstairs had an additional living area with a kitchen and refrigerator which proved handy for additional sodas and water. The downstairs also walked out to the lakeside backyard and patio area. The kitchen was, again, cozy but could easily accommodate 10-12 people comfortably between the table and the counter. It featured a farmhouse sink and awesome gas stove, which had six burners, a griddle, a regular oven, and a convection oven. A step outside the kitchen was an open-air area with picnic tables, patio furniture, a grill, a wonderful wood burning fireplace, and fantastic views of the lake. There were additional Adirondack chairs in the yard. There was a firepit close to the lake, as well as a dock with a built-in bench for fishing or relaxing. The property itself felt very private but was close enough to neighboring towns for last minute supplies. Our stay was during the fall, but this would make a great lake place to stay in the summer too. Needless to say, we had an outstanding week that far exceeded our expectations. We look forward to another visit.

My new husband and I held a small wedding here at the end of September. Everything was perfect, and exactly as described in the listing. The venue was impeccably clean when we arrived, the spacious home fit us and all of our closest friends with room to spare, and the view/lake/location is simply unmatched. Clay and Angi have done an outstanding job of making sure you have everything you need and every potential question answered. Because of this, we didn't need to communicate with them much during our stay, but when we did have needs they were prompt in returning messages. We hope this beautiful place stays available to rent so that we can come back in the future!

Clay and Angi’s home on Ox lake was the perfect setting for our family reunion and wedding ceremony! The home is stunning, the landscape & views are amazing and the communication with the owners was quick, responsive and always helpful. Our extended family and guests attending the wedding stayed at other VRBO’s in the area and were blown away by how nice “The Needles” was when they saw it first hand. We loved our time there and highly recommend it!! It’s a very special place.

We are a family group of 16 and had plenty of room to sleep, cook, eat and, most importantly ENJOY ourselves at this beautiful home on Ox Lake. The large sandy beach was a perfect place for the grandkids to play and swim. The 2 refrigerators provided plenty of room for food and beverages and there was more than enough sleeping space for our large group. We rented a pontoon boat at Al's Marine for a few days to take the kids tubing on nearby Cross Lake because Ox Lake is private. The home is also within just a few minutes drive of Crosslake which makes it super convenient for getting gas, groceries, bait, and take-out food. Please be aware that the owner does not provide any beach-related items like chairs, lounges, sand toys, lily pads, canoes, or kayaks so you need to bring that stuff with you if you want it. Our family loved the place so much that we are planning on returning again next year.

Wonderful experience on an idyllic lake setting in Crosslake. Great setup for multi generational family stay such as ours, with plenty for young kids (we had 1 / 3 & 5yr) with little kid beds and playroom. The lake is a nice size and very private and quite even though the home is just minutes from a desirable resort area. Gorgeous backyard area for entertaining & beach for the kids. We had great communication with Clay from the start and during our stay. Thank you for a lovely time in Crosslake!
