We were very happy with our choice to stay in El Diria 511. Pros include: Central location, access to beach, no need for a car, walking distance to shops, restaurants etc., great pool, ocean view, outdoor patio space, 2 full baths, washer dryer, full kitchen, secure, well maintained grounds, reasonably priced and Blue Water management company that provided excellent support. Cons: this was a fully functional basic unit that has everything you need but it is not charming and could use a bit of TLC in maintenance.

This is a fantastic condo for the price! It’s situated within the Diria Tamarindo resort property… the condominium building is up the hill across the street from the main Diria beachfront hotel. As a resident of the condos at Diria, you DO NOT have access to the beachfront pool or lounge chairs on the grass. You DO have access to the “family pool” (closer to the condos) across the street which has lounge chairs, restrooms, and a swim-up bar. We still took advantage of the beachfront however. We rented chairs and umbrellas on the sand from the guys there on the beach and got take-away lunch and drinks from the Diria restaurant and bar (used the Diria bathrooms while on the beach as well). Since you’re at Diria, you’re literally in the middle of town; thus, everything (grocery stores, coffee shops, bars, restaurants, shopping, spas, surf rentals, etc) is just a 5-10 minute walk from the property. The four of us (2 adults, 2 kids) really enjoyed how spacious and comfortable this unit is. This is a 2 bedroom condo with full kitchen, full living room, large dining table, 2 full bathrooms (showers only), washer/dryer, and plenty of towels and linens. Everything is in great, nearly new condition and the furnishings/finishings don't feel rental-cheap. Very well equipped kitchen as well. It feels like someone actually lives here. The team at Blue Water Properties (the rental management company) is super! … very communicative, responsive, accommodating, hospitable, organized, and helpful. In the past we had rented a car and hadn’t used it much (everything in Tamarindo is walkable), so this year we decided to just get a private transport van with the Diria Tour Desk to and from the airport. Best plan ever; much more cost-efficient than renting a car for the week. Enjoy! Pura Vida!

Everything was clean, the property was well stocked, and Tamarindo Diria is one of our favorite places to be. Sitting out on the patio, we saw monkeys right in front of us!

The property wasn’t as clean as it appeared. It also was a little more run down than we would’ve liked. At the same time it was a good location right in the heart of Tamarindo. Easy walkable access to the beach, pool and restaurants. Overall we’d recommend this place or if you’re looking for something nicer we’d recommend one if the newer Diria buildings

We loved this condo. Everything you could possibly need was there. The location and amenities were perfect. We loved the pool, the grounds and the security of the gated community. The host was very responsive when we had questions as well.

We woke up every morning and enjoyed coffee on the patio and watched howler monkeys from the comfort of the hammock, it was absolutely amazing! Being on the ground floor was great for us because we were traveling with a toddler and it was so nice for him to have the little yard to play in. The condo has absolutely everything you need: a fully stocked kitchen, plenty of beach and bath towels, and super comfy beds! The most difficult decision we made all week was whether we were in the mood for the beach or the pool. It was paradise!

I can't say enough about both Tamarindo as well as the condo we stayed in! We love Tamarindo for the beach, the shops, the amazing restaurants, the super fun multitude of activities to do and the super friendly people! The best part of Tamarindo and staying at the El Diria condo is EVERYTHING is walking distance!(No need for a car!) We love the El Diria condo we stayed in #511 not just for the convenience to everything but for the cleanliness and "feel at home" atmosphere. We LOVE the view, the amazing pool and the large, private outdoor space it provides. The condo is beautifully decorated and is stocked with everything we would ever need. Love that there is a washer/dryer and that it has such a high end, "Costa Rican" feel unlike some of the other high rise condos in the area. This place is true "PARADISE" and provides the best vacation anyone could ever want!!

We went to Costa Rica for my son's wedding. The Diria 511 is spaciousand comfortable. Newly renovated with brand new kitchen appliances, comfortable bed in the second room. The master bedroom mattress a bit uncomfortable. There was no sofa bed when we moved in. It came five days later and they could've keep it .because it was very uncomfortable even sitting on it. They didn't tell us there was no sofa bed so you know we were surprised and mad to find out it was missing when we went to turn in. Nice large patio with good view, awesome sunset and often saw monkeys in the trees. Washer and dryer a plus. Wi-Fi was available we had problems with connection but they came right out and fixed it. This is not a place for people with disabilities or the elderly who have difficulty walking. The only way to this unit is up a heap of steps or as I did take a taxi because I'm disabled. The entrance is in the deep back, which was kind of scary at night. It is a cross the street from the Diria hotel where the beach is located. It's in a good location for stores and restaurants once you get down stairs. Very nice grounds with two pools and a Jacuzzi. It's in a gated community but I never used my key to get in that's why I said the entrance to the condo was scary. It's way in the back and anyone could be lurking back there. We had some issues there that never got resolved until three weeks after returning home and then they wasn't fair. But my main purpose going to Costa Rica was to attend my son's wedding which was beautiful and vacation afterwards which I did in spite of the misfortunes. If you encounter any misfortunes while staying there stay on top of the situation because they seem to pass the buck a lot.
