This quaint studio located north of the UC Berkeley campus was the perfect location to stay if you are going to see a show at the Greek Theater, accessing the local trails and the multitude of restaurants nearby. This neighborhood is very pedestrian friendly and it was a real treat to discover the walking paths that drop down to Solano Avenue and Indian Rock. We were fortunate to be there in the spring and the flowering plants were amazing and the air was filled with so many fragrances. The view of the bay and San Francisco was incredible. Especially at night! Tal and Eli were great hosts. Unfortunately we did not get a chance to meet them in person but they left us a freshly baked apple cobbler, bottle of wine and chocolate when we arrived. All of which were delicious! We will definitely consider staying here again in the future. Can only imagine what the Fall colors would be like in this area.

We enjoyed our stay at Eli and Tal's place very much and would absolutely stay there again. The hosts were above-and-beyond welcoming and accommodating, the studio is in a great location (lovely view, pretty quiet street, walkable to the UC Campus, North Berkeley shops and restaurants, Rose Garden, etc.), and everything was clean and comfortable. Quaint and charming studio situated beneath the main home on a hillside with amazing views of the city and the Bay Bridge. On a clear day, you can see the Golden Gate. Berkeley has all the neighborhood amenities within a short walk or drive. See the city or drive to Napa in under an hour. The hosts were gracious and accommodating. Highly recommend!

I needed a serene place to rest around the time I was moving and would be putting my furniture into storage. Eli and Tal's studio is sparking clean, tastefully furnished, even has a balcony-like setting right outside the door with round table and 2 chairs for al fresco meals. The studio is below the main house. When vibrations from fast footsteps upstairs interrupted tranquility, all I had to do was let Eli know. Whoever was the fast walker upstairs was compassionate... slowed down their steps. Be careful climbing 2 short flights of stairs to get to the private studio. Oh, the Welcome presents of wine, chocolates and delicious home-baked apple cake! A thousand thanks from this grateful and happy guest. You gave me contentment. VRBO's rating system is 1 to 5 ... Eli and Tal deserve 10. I wish you and your family vibrant health and happiness always.

Overall this location worked out fine for us. It's convenient to all sorts of amenities. The bed was comfy. It is smaller than we anticipated, and it's a basement suite. As such, you can hear the owners above and if you're a bit claustrophobic it might bug you. It's probably better for a single traveler than a couple. We also didn't anticipate the on-street parking, but it turned out to be ok. The host was very accommodating and even greeted us with a homemade apple dessert.

We loved the location! We took long walks around the hills, including the Rose Park. The apartment is not large, but yet it has all you need, including a stove for cooking and a washing machine. Thank you for your hospitality.

The perfect spot for my East Bay visit with friends and family. I grew up in the area and Eli’s home was the perfect retreat and home base for me to visit my old haunts and meet up with friends and family. Walking distance to the original Peets and Cheeseboard, and Solano Ave. Nestled in the hills with a sweet view , while still being convenient and centrally located. The space has all the comforts of home. Every detail attended to. I look forward to returning. Just hope it’s not booked!

Great owners, excellent location. Amenities of the studio are excellent. Close to shopping, restaurants and UC Berkeley. Nice walkable neighborhood. 30 minute walk to campus and downtown Berkeley. My second stay this month. Will stay again.

This studio in North Berkeley was perfect for us. It was clean and comfortable, well-appointed, a generous size for a studio, and in a lovely neighborhood. Parking in the neighborhood was easy. It's in walking distance of great restaurants and shops. Eli was such a nice host. He was easy to communicate with by text, and we were even greeted with a warm home-baked treat waiting for us in the studio upon our arrival! Really an all-around enjoyable stay.

I had the great opportunity to stay at Tal and Eli's place while visiting my daughter at Berkeley and really enjoyed it! The place had everything I needed, was a great landing spot and also allowed me to get some work done. Eli brought me a hot apple cake that was gone in about 15 minutes after bringing it to my daughter's place! I look forward to staying again!

This was perfect for what I needed. I just needed a place to be comfortable that was close to amenities. Tal and Eli were very responsive and they welcomed me with chocolates, an apple crumble and wine. So amazing.

This stay was my 2nd time at this place. The only problem is that it's awesome, and always booked, so hard to stay again on my visit next month as there is no availability.

This property is beautifully situated in North Berkeley, close to everything you might want in terms of wonderful parks, views, friendly neighborhood. It is also close to what people in Berkeley refer to as the Gourmet Ghetto, lots of good eating places. The actual apt is tastefully decorated and fully equipped with everything you might need. There is a lovely view out to the Bay. The proprietors are friendly, welcoming, and helpful if you need it. They provided a splendid wine and tasty home baked apple cake as a welcome. The best thing I can say about our stay there is that it was like home: it felt comfy, safe, had all that we needed and provided the perfect base for our Berkeley adventures. A++ in my rating

This VRBO is very clean, pretty and great neighborhood. We have stayed here 4 times when we come to visit. I would highly recommend it.

Very cute little bungalow! Had all the amenities. The owner was very kind and even baked us a delicious apple tartlet!

This place is Close to restaurants and the Greek Theater. Bed and pillows were comfortable. Kitchen was equipped with spices and there was delicious coffee with vegan creamer. We were even greeted with vegan baked goods and a bottle of wine. There was even a view of San Fransisco and the bay bridge. I would stay here again for sure!!

What a great experience! This is the perfect place for a couple to stay in the hills above Berkeley. Very comfortable space in a charming neighborhood. Tal & Eli were wonderful hosts as well! They were extremely accommodating when our travel plans changed our arrival last minute. Extremely courteous hosts, and they even gifted us a bottle of wine as part of our stay. We would highly recommend staying here!

My son and daughter-in-law stayed here for two nights and it was perfect for them. Their only suggestion is in regard to the outdoor solar lights that stay on all night and shine through the windows into the bedroom area. They thought a heavier shade/curtain would help to not have the room so bright at night. They appreciated the wine and crumble cake and said everything was very clean and well stocked.
