Property was in poor condition. Ceiling fans were broken and hanging out of the ceiling with no blades on them or were unable to be turned off because the chain was broken completely off. Blinds in upstairs rooms were broken, upholstered was thread bare and stained. Canoes/kayaks take on water and life vests (only 1 adult size) was dry-rotten. The outdoor dumpster smells like an animal pen at the zoo and stinks the back porch up. Bed and linens are stained and worn. Sadly, host is unresponsive.

We have stayed here many times over the years. We try and bring the family together for a fun relaxing time. Patti and her family have remodeled the house and heve made it much more functional. There nothing fancy about the house, just a place to have fun and enjoy the lake. We have made so many memories at this house. We have grandchildren who were coming as children and now they are bringing their children. We will try and continue to come as long as possible.

We've stayed here numerous times and always have a great time. This time there was a water pressure issue that we didn't have the previous time we stayed in Nov, 2023. The kitchen was low pressure and the upstairs sink was really bad. Fortunately the showers and bath was good. We mostly hang out outside with a lot of family fishing. Great outdoor patio area! I emailed the host about the water pressure, but didn't hear back. Hopefully the water issue was a fluke or will be fixed before the next time we go. We usually don't go in summer, because like I said, we mostly hang out outside.

The house is very spacious and I love how it has a lot of beds. The outside space is wonderful with a large picnic table, fire pit, and chairs. They provide everything you need for canoeing/kayaking. We enjoyed staying at this house.

Staying here was amazing! There was plenty of space and beds for our large family (9 adults, 2 children). We came for the total solar eclipse and it could not have gone better. At the house, we enjoyed the canoe and kayak and watching the ducks, geese, herons, squirrels, and other animals. There were lots of good places to eat. We enjoyed Granbury Town Square and the Oink Oink festival. Great family memories!

We had a wonderful time! The property was huge and beautiful! Our family enjoyed the canoes and fishing off the dock! We Will definitely book this again! It literally had everything we needed and more!!!

WE enjoyed the stay and we are planning to be back in the future. The owner is very informative about what is expected in the property. She send a text, instruction in a note book and followed up if we needed anything. I left my knife and she offered to mail it back to me. It is a very awesome stay that all of our group enjoyed and love the stay in this property. I will recommend and would definitely be back in this place.

This is a wonderful location and lovely home. We had so much fun relaxing in the lake, canoeing and enjoying all things Granbury. Host was quick to respond and the home is vey quiet and comfortable.

Our second stay - perfect for our family
We stayed at this property in 2020 and came back in 2022. We usually go to a different place each year, but our family liked everything about this place so we broke tradition to come back. Chances are good we will return in the future, too.

Great location right on the lake. Kids loved fishing, swimming, and using the canoe and kayaks. Only negative is that the kitchen is really small.

Spring retreat!
Comfortable and agreeable for 5 women in search of relaxation. Room for spouses if desired with lots of space both inside and out. Great lawn and lake access is from this quite cove is very desirable. Remember to bring your ice chest. A second game table would be great if you have one for travel. Thank you Brown Family!

Home away from home
We've stayed multiple times now. It's about an hour away from where we live. It started as a place to stay for a family wedding close by during the peak of Covid in Dec, 2020, but we keep going back as a great family retreat. Our mother is 94 so of course she sleeps downstairs she doesn't go out in the kayak or do any fishing, lol.
This time there was a new oven and cooktop, which was a welcome sight.!
Provided we can continue to afford it, we will continue to rent this house for a great relaxing time as a mini vacation.

Great outdoor space, easy access to lake.
We were lucky enough to have fantastic weather over Christmas so we spent 90 percent of our awake time outside. The outdoor space of this property is very spacious, comfortable and the yard was perfect for our large family. We had five families of cousins, grandkids, etc on a come and go basis, with at the peak about 21 people in total of all ages. I wouldn't recommend having that many people in the house at once as it could get a little crowded, but as I said, we spent the majority of our time outdoors. Plenty of activities if the weather is nice. The host is fantastic and very accommodating. Would stay here again. Thank you!

Grandparent's Lake House
Lovely property on a quiet cove of Lake Grandbury. Huge yard that slopes down to the Lake and dock. The house has 4 bedrooms with comfortable beds. The decor is a bit retro but kept very nicely. It felt as though I had gone back in time to my grandparent's lake house. It was cozy with many personal touches and pictures. I want to book this again.

Loved it!
It’s rare to find a VRBO that provides things to enjoy the property. This one did! The kids loved the canoe and kayaks! And the adults loved all the chairs for lounging outside. We were able to have s’mores in the fire pit by the water, there was plenty of table space, chairs and sleeping space for all 14 of us! And there was never a line for a bathroom because we had plenty! Thanks for an amazing stay!!

50-51 year class reunion
The house was great...perfect for what we needed. It had everything as described . The firepit was a plus....used it every night. Everyone is talking that we need to do a reunion like this every year now. Would come back here to this property. No complaints.

Perfect Family Labor Day
The property was as advertised and better. Perfect location on quiet cove with easy open water access to boat, tube, and ski. House was stocked with everything we needed and more. We enjoyed hours on the porch, on the dock and floating in the water. The kids had so much fun jumping off the dock and looking for shells. Boat ramp was only short drive away. So many family memories made. Thank you for having us! We’ll be back!!

There was no frozen pineapple drink but one was not promised.

Perfect location for a bachelorette weekend
The views with this property and access to the lake were beyond perfect. The size of the house was great for the 11 adults. The kitchen was stocked with all the basic cookware for providing meals for a large crowd. All guests were extremely pleased with the property.

The last two times most of the family fished. This time we even cooked them and had a meal outside using the large picnic table.

This was the perfect location to keep everyone entertained from the ages of 5-73! We fished, canoed, kayaked, swam (brrr!), played yard games, played cards, had smores.. and spent time together.

Great family place
We were attending a family wedding nearby on New Years Eve,
so decided to rent for a family get-away. There were some things that would have been better if the weather wasn't so cold, but overall everything was great. We will certainly consider renting again at a different time of year.

The outdoor area of this property was absolutely beautiful. It set perfectly on the lake and had free water activities that we all enjoyed. The indoor area on the other hand was extremely outdated. The kitchen appliances need to all be replaced and it took forever to cook anything. The cookware was very worn and hard to use.Only one person could take a short shower at a time because there was not enough hot water. I would worry about going during the summer because the A/C was not the greatest. Again, the outdoor area was spectacular but I would not book this property again due to the inside of the house.

Granbury was close enough that the drive didn't wear our mother out and the house was big enough for all of us. The location on the lake is gorgeous. The property had plenty of space for the kids to run around outside. The patio area is fabulous. We used it and the fire pit at night. Sitting out early morning with a cup of coffee listening to the birds talk was fabulous as well. I will save this listing for future quick weekend getaways.
