Nice atmosphere and pools
They take a pre-authorisation of $100 per night. They say this can be used as credit for the restaurants and bars in the facility. When you go to check out they charge you for whatever food and drink you have purchased and then tell you they will refund your pre-authorisation at a later date. What’s the point of telling us we can use the pre-authorisation as credit and then charging us for whatever items we have purchased in the hotel. Luckily we were only there for 2 nights but for someone who is staying 7+ nights they’d end up owing a large amount of money plus the pre-authorisation which CANT BE USED AS CREDIT TO THE BILL. We tried to clarify this at check in but we were assured any amount we owed or they owed to us above or below the pre-authorisation charge would be charged or refunded. Some of the staff are lovely and helpful but others come across as rude and arrogant. Each guest at this hotel seemed to have a different experience due to the lack of training the staff have been provided.

The room was backed up to construction. The refrigerator didn’t work and nobody came to fix it even though they said they would. The shower leaked into the room.

The layout and the openness of the design. The location on the beach is very convenient and beautiful. Currently they are under construction so the part of the hotel we stayed in was in a construction site. They compensated by giving a small credit for the eyesore and noise issue…which was very thoughtful and the right thing to do :-)

It was luxurious and you didn’t have to leave at all. Staff were wonderful and friendly.
More options on traditional Fijian food would have been great. Not to be helped but the construction could be noisy.

The pool area is amazing, the restaurants and foods are excellent, the facilities are great, the fun poolside activities and kids club, also the staff are more than outstanding!

From the moment you drive in, you can tell it's going to be an incredible experience. The welcoming entrance, the warm smiles from the staff, and the helpfulness of the Fijian people were absolutely fantastic. Upon arrival, we were greeted with cold water, and even though we arrived early, they checked us in right away. We decided to enjoy lunch at the Azura Pool Bar & Kitchen, which turned out to be a real winner. The staff, the food, and the service were all exceptional. The Lobby Lounge team was also fantastic—it was such a treat to relax, watch an NRL game, and enjoy live music on a Saturday afternoon. The food they served was equally delicious.
Our room was spacious, complete with a wonderful bathtub and shower, making our stay even more comfortable. The facilities were top-notch, offering a range of activities like jet skiing, Kava tasting, and a ceremonial lighting of the lights in the evening. There's also a board in the lobby displaying the daily schedule of activities, which made it easy to plan our day. Overall, the experience was outstanding, and we will definitely be coming back!
While I understand the idea of "Fijian Time," we ended up waiting almost an hour and a half (or even longer) for our room service. It felt like we were forgotten, as we had to call to follow up. They did apologize, and the food arrived about 30 minutes after that. Similarly, we requested a laundry bag at 8am, but it didn't show up until 8pm, and again, we had to remind them. Given the cost, which is comparable to what you'd pay for a hotel in a first-world country, I feel the service should reflect that level of quality.

Great Hotel with very friendly staff and extremely clean and welcoming facilities. I would definitely stay at the Crowne Plaza if chance brought me back to Fiji. Although the hotel is indeed undergoing a big expansion, I did not feel that it ruined my experience in any way. I appreciated the breakfast selection and how attentive the hotel staff is.
One minor recommendation would be about the poolside music. It could be toned down in volume.

The property, grounds, rooms, abundance of pools, closeness to other amenities. The pool bar and restaurant staff were super lovely, shoutout to Peni for being so proactive and awesome, and to the lovely Fijian Indian lady who ran the check-in desk! The food and the cocktails were also top-notch.
For the most part the staff was really nice and efficient... however, after coming from the InterContinental and the Yatule in Natadola (where everyone was awesome and super happy), I noticed that some staff members were not only unfriendly but a little unhelpful (reception/check-in and desks to the left of it)... I guess it doesn't help that when they leave, every evening, the man at the front gate has the unpleasant task of opening and checking their purses for stolen items... I found this odd, intrusive, and disrespectful. With the amount of food that gets thrown out every day from the buffets and restaurants, does it really matter if employees take some leftovers home?

The pool side I thought had too many gardens which at some places you couldn’t access the pool from the sitting area and had to walk around to enter the pool , also upon arrival no staff to greet and take luggage to the checking . Maybe a refresher drink / cool towels upon arrival - also as an IHG member , I found the staff needs more training on customer service .

Nothing - there is some ongoing construction at the time (July), but nothing that distracted from the resort feel. Proximity to airport wasn’t an issue either.

Good location best hotel closest to the airport. The views are nice but the beach is not great. You wouldn’t swim in it, but then again they don’t pretend that you can!
Amazing breakfast buffet! So many choices we didn’t know what to do.
Kids! club was great too. My daughter had an excellent time with really careful and considerate facilitators.
Not much really. It was pretty exceptional. It is a luxury resort, and therefore lacks a bit of the “grass roots Fiji style” which you might get on a small island, but that’s not much of a detraction.

Not a kids club where you leave your children - activity based where the activity goes for 30min - 60 min. The kids club team were great and there were some great activities.

Poor service - often given a yes and then nothing happened. This was the same multiple times. Usually as something was missing from the room to start with.
We extended our stay due to medical reasons and I spent 30+ minutes at reception confirming the situation (as we were told to book online not at the desk then go to the desk) only to be locked out.
Not the usual Fijian hospitality and smiles.
Worse pillows and worn linen.
They had a corporate event and took all the pool furniture and shade so limited items and no shade left for current guests.

Staff were friendly and welcoming. Buffet breakfast is really good. Resturants were good and had a relaxing enviroment. Room was good, however pillows were not firm enough. Bathroom was good, however one morning the water was only dripping. We didn’t have a view but not really fussed with that as we didn’t spend alot of time in the room. Pools were amazing. Place is still under constriction, however didn’t effect our experience. For what we got the price was really reasonable.
Timings for activities like massage, kids club and food orders can be slow and un-organised, however it was only minor. Its goes out to a beach but the beach water is dirty and your have to venture out to the outer islands on cruises to experience clear water, snorkelling, swimming etc.

The TV wasn’t working and fridge was not cold. Beds were too small for a family of 4. Lots of renovations with construction. Not a lot of choice with meals for lunch and dinner.

I loved the swim up bar, the restaurant had different theme nights for food (and the food was really good!), truly incredible customer service, the pools were a nice size, the rooms were large & comfortable, and the ambiance in the common areas was really wonderful - great vibes.
The hotel was undergoing construction - there was noise, there were areas blocked off, and it sort of changed the easy/lux vibes when you were near the construction. The location isn't fantastic - you'll be near a small grocery store, which is great, but otherwise you're in a neighborhood - not really a tourist/hotel-y area.
