This house is well taken care of and sits right on the lake with a lovely view of Crab island, the ferries coming and going from Cumberland Head and Grand Isle in the distance and a sparkling sunrise on the water. The birds sing all day. The waves lap against the shore, and the built out room off of the kitchen overlooks it all. The neighborhood is quiet and well kept, and it is a ten minute drive to SUNY. The owners respected our privacy and responded immediately to any communications. There was no real need to contact them during the visit because the house so we’ll set up for us and the directions were so clear, but we had questions before we came to the house, when we were deciding whether to rent it, and they were very accommodating. I recommend the house highly.

I stay in Plattsburgh most of November as I have a daughter who plays hockey at the university. I was happy with the location and beautiful views the property provided. Beds were comfortable and there was plenty of extra blankets if needed. The kitchen was well stocked with dishes and cookware.

We visit family in Plattsburgh each summer and were happy to stay at this very spacious and comfortable home. Beautiful views of the lake and the little beach in the neighborhood was perfect for my young grandson. Everything was great!

To start with the positives, this house is in a great location and has an amazing view of the lake. The house is quite spacious and has a fully stocked kitchen. On the other side of things, the dock was not installed for our stay which was very disappointing, the owner did what they could to get it installed in time but it did seem it was mostly out of their control. The house does feel a bit outdated, but could be dealt with. The biggest concern we had is the bugs. The yard was almost unusable due to the swarm of bugs that were around all sides of the house. It was nearly impossible to walk even from the driveway into the house without a face full of bugs.

This house is huge and has everything you need! Beautiful views of the lake and great neighborhood. Host was a great communicator. Definitely recommend!

We thought it would be nice to bring our kids and their families on a weekend getaway. Friends have a camp in Cumberland Head, so we've been to the area before. Found this spot, and snatched up the only holiday weekend still available for the year. I'm so glad I found it. The neighborhood is dense, but so quiet & friendly. There was a private beach just up the road. The backyard is right on the lake. We spent 99% of our time out there or in the screened in porch enjoying it all. Only disappointment was the dock wasn't in yet, but we made due. The owner came in put in the slip, so we were able to go kayaking one of the days. It's a spot I'd definitely go back to, and hope to be able to soon!

Roomy well stocked house with everything right there. Lovely views, yard... friendly community. Kids gentle beach a 5 minute walk in safe neighborhood. Hosts offered boats for our use as well. Solid dock for easy boat tie up. On arrival, fresh basil and tomatoes on the counter. Reccommend highly.

We loved the view of the lake and easy access to the neighborhood beach. The back 3 season porch was the perfect family hangout spot for our multi generational family vacation. The kitchen was modern and spotless. Furniture throughout the house is dated but comfy. There is AC but only in the upstairs bedrooms. The backyard was perfect for our 2 year old granddaughter and we enjoyed fishing from the dock. Having access to a double kayak was a nice bonus! Owners were very responsive and easy to work with.

We had everything we needed for a fun lake vacation for 8 adults–comfortable and clean rooms, well-equipped kitchen, and a good gas grill. The backyard is perfect, with shade during the day, beautiful views of the lake, plenty of lawn chairs, and a fire pit we put to use every night. The weather was a little chilly during our stay so we didn't do as much swimming, but the water looked very clear and there's a ladder off the dock for easy in and out. Great space for a big group vacation.

We enjoyed returning to the neighborhood where we lived for over 20 years, this time with two Golden Retrievers. The house was perfect. The kitchen was supplied with everything for preparing meals, including spices and staples. There are more linens and towels than even a large family would need. We loved the view of the lake from our bedroom window, back porch, and back yard. The steps to the lake are easy to navitage, and it's only a short walk to the neighborhood beach. The Munn family are wonderful hosts.

This home accommodated our entire family, during a larger family gathering. It was nice to have all three adult children and our grandkids together. We didn’t cook a single meal there, but kitchen was well equipped. Spend almost every evening on porch overlooking the lake. Then morning coffee/tea on the porch as well. That was our gathering spot. Thanks again for a great stay !!

We had such a fun week at this house in Plattsburgh. It was the perfect location! We visited High Falls Gorge, did the adventure tour at Ausable Chasm, rode our bikes on the Island Line Trail to Burlington, and went golfing in my husband's childhood hometown of Malone. We were planning to take our boat out a couple of days, but were only able to make it one because the wind picked up towards the end of the week. But there was plenty to keep us busy! We visited several of the wineries and breweries in the area and took an Uber out to pub crawl in Plattsburgh a couple of nights. However, if you're looking for less activity and just want to relax by the water, this house is great for that as well. We sat on the back lawn by the fire pit and watched the moonrise over the lake several nights, and then got up early to watch the sunrise from the screened in porch. Absolutely beautiful! And the homeowners seemed to think of everything. There was air conditioning and/or fans in the bedrooms, the kitchen was stocked with any utensil you'd ever need, and there's plenty of seating throughout. Also, it's a really cute neighborhood; everyone was super friendly. We couldn't have had a better time!

We spent 4 days in the property. We had great time ... having a direct access to the lake is amazing!

Beautiful property on the lake. Very nice sandy beach just a short walk away. Dan, Rick and Michelle were very helpful and easy throughout the booking and our stay. Would definitely stay again!

A wonderful place to rent for a visit with a big family and celebrate our my mom's 90th Birthday. Plenty of room, linens, kitchen it's and space to wonder. We all enjoyed coffee on the screened patio which had plenty of room for all of us. Steps down to the lake to check out the water and collect some rocks for kids. Fire pit for making smores and just relaxing. We can't thank the family enough for hosting us. We'll definitely be back when the weather is warmer to take advantage of the lake. Thank you again!

We enjoyed our stay at the lake house. The view was beautiful especially from the master bedroom picture window and the back screened in porch. We bought some firewood from the gas station down the street and enjoyed camp fires every night in the fire pit in the back yard.The house was really big and fit all of us quite nicely. Huge kitchen to gather and cook and eat. There were spaces for the teenagers to disappear to. We were disappointed that the drought had the water line so low that we weren’t able to fish well from the dock. We didn’t have time to take out the kayaks that we were able to use at the house. Great memories for 2 brothers with their families to reconnect.

We thoroughly enjoyed our days at the Lake House! It was a beautiful and peaceful location and we were able to go hiking, kayaking and fossil hunting in just a few days. The house is perfect for a family and had everything we needed and we really loved sitting on the porch and docks to enjoy the lake views - beautiful lake views!
