The property was clean and the beds were very comfortable. Nice grassy backyard for the youngster. We enjoyed our stay. The owners communicated with us and were very attentive to our needs

The house was in a quiet neighborhood close to the beach. It is well kept and clean. The kitchen is stocked with cooking supplies and the backyard was very peaceful. We enjoyed cooked out on the grill. Easy and prompt communication with the rental owner. It's a short drive to the village.

We loved this home for our Carlsbad stay. The home was very well appointed with supplies. The kitchen was great for cooking and yard was great for us to entertain local friends. This was one of the cleanest homes we’ve ever rented! We’ll definitely be returning!

Great place, big backyard with a wild bunny. The only bad things was it was on busy Highway 1, after 11pm the traffic noise dies down and it gets quite. There is a new house under construction next door, they have the foundation up. We were fortunate that there was no construction going on during our three day stay. I would stay here again after the house is finished next door.

We loved this house. It's location, so close to the beach was awesome, we spent every day at the beach, and the ability to go down the side of the house and rinse off sand with the hose was very helpful. The beach toys and boogie boards were really appreciated. We loved the layout of the house and the lovely big backyard where we ate every evening. Communication with the owner was excellent. We can highly recommend this property and would return the next time we come here.

We really enjoyed our stay. Super close to to the action but far enough away to enjoy a private stay too. Access to a small beach that feels private. The house was cute, clean and stocked with what we needed to feel at home. We enjoyed coffee on the porch watching people and BBQ in the backyard too. We can't wait to stay again!

This house was very comfortable for our family of six. Beds were firm with nice bedding and pillows. Private fenced back yard with lovely foliage. Quick walk to small beach across street or beach walkway to Carlsbad. Kitchen was well fitted for cooking with quality pans. I would definitely recommend this VBRO!

Nice house close to the ocean. Just a simple, cozy home with a nice backyard. Great place to spend a week with family and explore SoCal. I would highly recommend it. Property manager was also very responsive to questions. Will definitely consider this location again when I return.

Our week stay was so relaxing that we didn’t want to leave on checkout! The home is well equipped and the large back yard was perfect for our little Yorkies to run around. Tamar was very responsive to our needs.

My family of 4 adults and two toddlers stayed at this beautiful home for a week. The house is just as pictured, very charming décor. The back yard was perfect for my two active grandkids. We even hosted a family bbq with my niece's family in town and everyone was impressed that we had such a nice yard. The only thing I would suggest is maybe a fire pit? It got chilly at night and we Arizonans aren't used to that in the summertime! The one downside was that Carlsbad Blvd runs right in front of the property, which made it very noisy if the front door was open to catch the cool breeze. At night you could hear the road noise from the front bedroom. Luckily my daughter packed her soothing sounds machines which helped quite a bit. The train whistle was not a big issue...present but more like background noise. My husband and I liked the layout of the converted garage suite. It gave us privacy and my daughter's family as well. The location otherwise was good for a short drive to 2 or 3 beaches, one about 1/2 mile or so to the north which has a sandy beach but bigger waves (and a porta potty)and one about 1/2 mile south with wet sand (and sand fleas). The beach access closest to the property is beautiful but more of a surfer's beach. It has a small cove surrounded by cliffs at low tide and at high tide the surf comes to the bottom of the stairs (there are 60 of them). I found that beach great for finding shells and 2 pairs of sunglasses, but not for small children. We went to Moonlight beach in Encinitas for more of a family friendly beach (read sandy beach, showers and real bathrooms, gentler waves). There are no restaurants or stores within walking distance but Ralph's and Costco are a short drive away and Carlsbad Village is also close, but good luck parking there! There's so many good restaurants in that area. On Wednesday evenings they have a farmer's market and it was fun roaming around looking at and tasting all the different locally grown harvest, especially the strawberries. This was a really nice home base for our southern California visit. We felt really comfortable there. Thanks for letting us stay here!

Our family loved the beach house, the beach is so close, so picturesque and the tide pools at low tide were a treat. The house was very clean and every amenity worked well. The backyard is pure bonus and it so well cared for. The rooms were well designed and having a TV in each bedroom was fabulous.

It was very clean, looks just like the picture, close to the beach, plus had everything for the beach.

Tamar her husband and mother in-law were all very helpful. If we ever needed anything they responded immediately. We especially liked the beds and how the kitchen was stocked ... nice assortment of kitchen pots and pans and just about anything you may need. See you next year!

Wonderful place, and location is close to many activities and places to eat. Owner easy to contact if needed. Fireplace was a very nice perk.

Overall, great vacation home. Only down fall is located on a very busy road. House is very clean and inviting. Has everything needed. Would stay again!

This is our 3rd Stay. Always Great! Great access to SD, beaches, Disney, Lego Land is 5 minutes away. Décor and yard are great. The PCH and trails are right there for running and walking. We VRBO our own properties and this owner and property have it down. Thanks!!

We stayed here for Spring Break so our young boys could be close to LegoLand and the beach. We enjoyed the well maintained interior and exterior including a backyard where our boys could play around while I could use the BBQ. The backyard has a storage shed that holds all the necessary beach equipment: beach chairs, boogie boards, sand toys, umbrellas, and a wagon to carry it all. Each of the bedrooms inside have very comfortable beds and their own TV mounted on the wall. No garage access as that was converted into a bedroom, but you can park in the long driveway. I recall reading other reviews prior to our stay that mentioned some street noise at night with cars driving by given the location on the street, but we didn't notice it or have it prevent us from sleeping. The couch in the main room is quite wide and could easily sleep an extra person although the three bedrooms suited us without using the couch. LegoLand was only a 5 minute drive, and we ended up going to Moonlight Beach in Encinitas which was only a 10 minute drive and nicer than the beach across the street. We also went to Coronado beach which was about 40 min south but a fantastic beach and worth the drive. We certainly recommend staying here and would do so if/when we come back to Carlsbad again.

It was very comfortable, having three couples, we had room to spread out. We loved Carlsbad too! The beach was great. We spent a lot of time in SAN Diego, which was great but also enjoyed local restaurant. We appreciated the tips on local eateries.
