Location is good for walking to stores and some restaurants. The rental itself is dated and a little worse for the wear. Its comfortable enough, but there is quite a bit of up and down steps within the house. The loft area upstairs has no privacy in the bedrooms, but nicely situated. We can not give it a thumbs up on the cleanliness. Needs some serious scrubbing on the walls, floors, and shower floors. Not looking for a refund or discount. Just stating some facts.

Pretty little casita in quiet complex. Very safe, secure and comfy. Construction was a bit of an issue but can’t control that. We navigated around it ok. We enjoyed our Loreto experience and will be back for sure.

But not for us, as too many step up/step downs between kitchen/bedroom/ bath. It was a little dated but did have all needed throughout. Great response from the owner, Gary and the on-site manager Jennifer. We enjoyed the neighboors, pool, gated area, bikes. Being close to the Loreto community gave us a better appreciation of the v Community. We do plan to return!

Perfect location. You never have to go more than a half a block away to have everything you could need. The pier , shopping, restaurants, etc... are a short walk away. Plenty or nothing to do, you choose.

Clean, comfortable place to stay. Center of town is about 10 min walk. Property is secure, and quiet. Space was good for my wife, 2 teenage kids and me. Would stay there again if back in Loreto.

This is a great location in the heart of Loreto. The house was well appointed with kitchen gear, linens, towels and comfortable beds. We stayed for the month of November and of the 18 houses in the compound only about six were occupied. The location has convenient access to restaurants, stores and services, all within walking distance. The rental agent and owners were easy to reach and responsive to our inquiries. We stayed at the property for 3 weeks in January/February. When we arrived the unit was clean and tidy. We did call the property manager and report that the satellite television was not working. She was aware of it and was trying to get it resolved. Over the weekend (we arrived on a Friday) we discovered the gas grill did not produce enough heat to barbecue along with a few other housekeeping issues. When the property manager stopped by Monday morning she explained the satellite service tech was not in town so it was uncertain when we would have television back. She said she would have the screen on the front door fixed (it was kicked out when we arrived) and would try to get us a good knife for the kitchen (the only good working knife had a broken handle). She explained the gas grill was a poor design and there was nothing she could do about that. We mentioned we heard a lot of scurrying type noise in the roof and she said she couldn't imagine what that was and not to worry. She was very helpful with hints for shopping, dining out and laundry services in Loreto. The layout for the unit is comfortable for two staying in the master suite on the main floor. However, it was a little awkward for our guests who stayed on the second floor since there is very little separation between bedrooms and only a 3/4 wall for the second floor bathroom. We realized it was going to be a loft configuration but somehow thought there would be more visual separation and certainly did not expect lack of sound insulation from the bathroom. The greatest thing for us with this property was the peaceful setting, great beds, showers and central location. We did get television after two weeks and many phone calls but never did figure out why there was a problem. The scurrying noise from the ceiling continued but there was never any evidence of something inside the unit itself. Overall, our stay was comfortable and reasonable. We would give it a 3+.

We arrived on January 30th with 2 other couples and we were all very happy with the condition of the property. It is nicely situated in the town of Loreto within easy walking distance to most restaurants, stores and bank. it is very close to the Ley's grocery store which makes it great for walking over and getting whatever you may need. We did rent a car for a couple of trips but while you are there it is not important to have a car, just rent one when you need it. I recommend going to the car rental place a day or two before you are planning to rent as they seem to run out fast and then they try and do the old bait and switch for a more expensive rental. The property manager Kathy is a wealth of knowledge on the area and as an expat both her English and Spanish are fluent. The place is in a gated community and though that helps for security we never once felt unsafe in the town of Loreto. We cooked up some fine meals on the BBQ in the back and if you're there for any time make sure you find the fish store. It is only a couple blocks away and I don't think you can find fresher fish anywhere. Enjoy your stay.
