This house was exactly as described by the listing as well as pictures. Quiet, cozy, and beautiful. There was 4 of us staying and this house had every amenity avaiable. The outdoor pool area was the star of the show as thats where we stayed anytime we were at the actual house. The owner was very easy to deal with and always available with answers. We truly had a great experience at pearl basin.

This home is a feast for the eyes every way you turn - inside and out. Every comfort has been carefully thought out. The gardens are full of every kind of succulent imaginable. The ground floor bedroom and outdoor walk-in shower made getting around easy for my 83 father. This is a great escape for adults.

The house and pool were more than we expected. Probably the nicest backyard in Jamaica Beach with a tiki hut, bbq smoker, big/clean pool with a waterslide and gorgeous foliage. The house had everything we needed to cook and relax and enjoy the weekend. Very close to many access points on the beach, some were more crowded than others but a little south we were able to find a nice, semi-secluded area. Great little coffee shop and food near the corner store, which also was nicely stocked for basic needs. Great experience and highly recommend. Possibly bring your own meats/food down in a cooler as Kroger is about a 15 minute drive- not bad at all though. Highly recommend!

Beautiful property and having a pool definitely worth it. The room downstairs for teenagers was perfect. The place was so clean and very cozy. The host was very communicative and friendly. She puts a lot of effort into making your stay enjoyable.

The owner has done an amazing job of creating an oasis in her yard around the pool. We could hang out all day! The kitchen is well stocked with anything you might need to cook. Her home is beautifully decorated creating a feel right at home touch. There is plenty of room for the maximum amount of guests to feel comfortable. We were so blessed to have found her place three years ago and then return again this year. We look forward to another return trip!

Couldn’t rate this property better! We love our stay at Pearl Basin and cannot wait to go back! We our repeat visitors and have loved every stay! Kids enjoy the pool, adults enjoy the outdoor entertaining and grill - so close to the beach with a great kitchen, bedrooms and bathrooms. It’s perfect! Thank you Traci for allowing us to stay!!

Excellent house and location. Host is a very nice lady. Very strict on the max amount of personnel as well as vehicles on property. There was a false accusation one day on us exceeding the amount which was a little odd. It just confirmed that the outter cameras are definitely being monitored. Overall the house is awesome but I personally wouldn’t stay there again. Just my .02.

This home was so well equipped and decorated it seemed more like a home than a vacation rental. It had everything you might need!!! Took an afternoon to realize it was okay to relax, as the host was scared for our visit to her home (for Covid fears) and we were scared to touch anything, being it was filled with so many personal items. Once we got past it, we relaxed and really enjoyed the stay. The pool area was lush and beautiful. Pool was well maintained and enjoyable. We decided we liked it better than the beach. Beware of mosquito invasion in the pool area! After letting the host know, she suggested we spray the yard with Cutter Mosquito spray from the local hardware store. We did so the next morning, which worked well for the duration of our stay. I would recommend this Lovely Home!

The house was very clean. The decor was beautiful it’s like staying at a beach oasis. The weather could have been better.

My family and I really enjoyed our stay at Pearl Basin! The house is great, but the outdoor area is fabulous! My kids especially enjoyed the water slide!!

Was absolutely the nicest home we have stayed at in a decade of going to Galveston with our family. Very clean, amazingly decorated. Close to the beach and the private pool with so much great seating and gathering places outside. Definitely already thinking of when we can go back. Traci was a pleasure to communicate with also.

We enjoyed everything about the house. The kitchen was fully stocked with any pan, gadget or appliance you could want! The house has a lot of nice beach decorations. The 3 bedrooms on the 2nd floor were perfect for us and the bottom floor, where our 18, 20, & 21 year old gals slept worked great and could have slept a few more people. The pool was beautiful and we all enjoyed hanging out there. The pool seating areas are fabulous. The proximity to the beach was great for us. We ran or walked to the beach in the morning for exercise (it’s about a mile) and also enjoyed morning walks in the neighborhood. We enjoyed beach days too. The beach allows parking on the beach so loading and unloading all of our gear was super easy. We all agreed we would not hesitate to stay here again.

The property was SO clean and inviting. We had a wonderful time and would absolutely stay again. Traci was so great to to work with from start to finish. Thank you for allowing us to stay in your beautiful home.

Beautiful home and nice pool!

My grandchildren built sand castles and my family and I built beautiful memories during our stay at Pearl Basin, Jamaica Beach. An occasion forever treasured in my memory bank.

A spacious, comfortable and well appointed property, close to the bay canal, and a short ride to the gulf beach. It has a nice clean and good sized swimming, in a beautifully planted yard, with plenty of shaded sitting areas.There was one small issue with blocked sink, which the owner had fixed in a timely manner. Otherwise it was great trip, which we enjoyed very much. Traci is great host.

This was a great place to getaway and relax for a few days. Just a short drive from the beach and we all enjoyed the pool and scenery at the house. Beautiful, clean home with all you need to enjoy vacation time.

Enjoyed our stay in Galveston for the week. The pool and outdoor entertaining area was fantastic for the kids and adults both. The home and landscaping are absolutely beautifully decorated with all possible amenities provided. This property provided exactly what my family needed for a relaxing, enjoyable getaway.

This property was perfect for our family weekend getaway. Even though the weather was ultimately impacted by a Hurricane that hit the southern TX coast, we still were able to have a great time at the property. It's clear that the owner put a lot of time and effort into giving it a very unique atmosphere - and it easily stood out from most properties around it. Any questions we had for the owner were answered quickly with zero issues at all. It's definitely a property that I'd recommend to friends/family.

Great house and pool area. Short ride to beach by car or golf cart. Plenty of room for our two families. 4 adults and 5 kids ages 11-16.

Our family of 8 thoroughly enjoyed our 5 day stay in this immaculate home with all the amenities we could ever need. The pool and backyard were a perfect retreat from the heat, and the beach was a short golf cart ride away. The little ones caught fish and crabs every day off the dock right outside our front door. Traci was responsive and extremely helpful throughout our entire stay. One of the most positive rental experiences I’ve ever had.

The outdoor area was great. Plenty of seating and hanging out all day long.

SUPERB! Traci is very involved with her beautiful property, and it shows! Upon entering Pearl Basin you can feel the stress melt away greeted by the GORGEOUS and lush plant life that surrounds the wonderful pool and palapa bar area! There are a myriad of seating options for those who like sun or shade and even an outdoor sink in the bar! The dual outdoor shower is absolutely perfect and well appointed with an assortment high quality shampoos and body washes! The downstairs area was PERFECT for our older kids in the group to hang out and sleep on the terrific accommodations including a full bath! Once I unlocked the door upstairs my senses were pleasantly greeted with a fresh clean scent and cool A/C. The coastal eclectic design is to DIE FOR! You can see that her pieces have come from her travels and it’s a pleasure to look at them! Each bedroom has a wonderful vanity and closet area, windows and a ceiling fan, and fantastic clean crisp linens. The towels are incredibly soft and the bathrooms are appointed with high quality shampoo/conditioner and soaps. The kitchen has every utensil and serving dishes imaginable to man, and all appliances are fully functional and clean. It’s a very short drive to the beach and there’s a convenience store and liquor store about 1/2 mile away. (I neglected to mention that we were a group of 13). The community is sooo nice and in speaking with neighbors they expressed how much they enjoy having Traci as a neighbor! I can tell you with absolute confidence that you will LOVE Pearl Basin as much as we did!! ❤️

Took our family of 5 down to galveston for a long weekend trip. Kids range in age from 6 to 14. Our stay was fantastic. And probably the best rental we’ve had a chance to stay at in Galveston - The property seems to have been recently renovated. - All the trims and furnishigs in the upper living area are new and modern. Beds and mattresses are new and comfy. - You can tell Traci takes pride in the look of her place, all the small decorative touches were nice. Made the place feel more like a cozy home compared to some of the bare rentals we’ve used. - The kitchen is truly fully stocked. Ovens, gas range, fridge are new and high end. Full assortment of calphalon pots and pans, and pretty much every kitchen gadget you could think of. - But the real plus here are the outdoor areas. Multiple patios on both sides of the house with lots of seating. - The pool area is amazing. Lots of shady spaces under the palapa to sip drinks and chat. The garden is well manicured and maintained. And the added convenience of the downstairs living area which made for a “cabana” type space to relax poolside with AC and television but be out of the sun - Literally one street over from the city park where my kids shot some hoops in the early evenings and a quick 3 min drive to beach access. - Was casually looking through homeaway for another beach weekend later in the summer, and found myself comparing listings against Traci’s property. Not sure i’ve seen many that can beat hers. Would definitely stay again if we had the chance

We had the best weekend! The house was absolutely perfect for our family. We had room to spread out which was perfect. It was a great location. The pool was wonderful. Everyone from adults down to the toddlers loved the slide! We enjoyed the outdoor decks and patio day and night. The house is beautifully decorated and so comfortable at the same time. The owner was very helpful and quick to respond when I had questions. Sorry Traci for all the questions! We had no problems at all. All the kids wanted to stay longer. We Will definetly stay here again.

We stayed here for a family vacation and it was the perfect spot. The house is beautiful, filled with high end finishes. More than enough sleeping accommodations for our crew. The property is landscaped beautifully with tropical plants and flowers. And the pool was amazing. Beach access was less than a five minute drive. I'd highly recommend this property for anyone looking for a relaxing escape.

What a great place to vacation! The location is perfect! Short ride to beach, sit on the porch & watch the canal or lounge out by the pool, it couldn't have been more relaxing. Traci's decor is fabulous. The landscape is lovely. The downstairs "room" was perfect for our family. The outdoor showers were a hit with the kids. Loved the tiki bar. The upstairs dining area accommodated all of us; which was wonderful to be in the same area sharing meals and conversation. Kitchen is pretty & practical. Recognizing that Traci opened up her home for us to enjoy made us appreciate it even more; can't imagine it would be easy to let others stay in such a lovely, well-cared for place. Thank you!!

This beach house is absolutely beautiful! The house fit our party of 16 very comfortably. All the bedrooms have very comfortable beds and fluffy pillows. The beach decor inside and outside is breathtaking! The outside plants are very well cared for and made the house feel tropical. The outdoor shower was a big hit for 8 kids after a long day at the beach. I recommend the beach house for a anyone going on vacation with a large group. We all loved how close the house is to the beach and down town Galveston. Our family looks forward to another trip to Jamaica Beach and staying at this a house again.

Stayed here for a large family trip. We booked the house because of the size and having a private pool to ourselves. The house itself was very nice and had plenty of room. It was decorated head to toe with shells and different ornaments. The issues that I had dealt specifically with the owner. First, there were cameras around the outside of the house that I’m pretty sure the owner would watch. I received multiple messages from the owner about leaving a pool light on or only having six cars in the driveway. The only way for the owner to know this would be through the cameras. This was definitely an invasion of my privacy as they are not disclosed in the listing. Next, there was an extreme infestation of mosquitos. I am not kidding when I say extreme. I, and others in my group, would be covered in mosquito bites. Next, the owner is very particular about everything. I was told I could adjust the downstairs thermostat, but not the upstairs. A little weird, but ok. When I went to adjust the downstairs one it was also locked. I was told that it should be set to a comfortable setting. I asked if there were extra blankets anywhere (beside the ones on the beds) I was told no that I shouldn’t need extra ones. The timer on the pool pump would shut off at 5 not allowing us to use the slide after 5. I was told I am not allowed to adjust the timer because its sensitive. You’re not allowed to mess with the timers of the lights outside because they are hard to set. All these things are minor, but I paid a good amount of money to use the house, the owner shouldn’t be involved in what I set a thermostat to. Lastly, towards the end of the trip the owner did find out that we had 3 extra kids sleeping in the house. This was huge issue. I assumed that three children would not have been an issue, but I was clearly wrong. The owner tried to belittle me multiple times through text message. I would get texts blaming me for known problems in the house and statements like “so why are you asking? Is there another problem you’re complaining about when you’ve broken you lease”. I understand the owner was upset that I didn’t disclose a few kids, but I was quick to offer my full deposit to compensate the owner for a minor mistake and the owner was quick to take it. Overall, I’m sure I am not allowed to, but I will not be attempting to book this property again. The stress of dealing with the owner was not worth it.
