This was our 2nd time visiting the property. Weather didn’t cooperate but everything was great!

We enjoyed ourselves in the slow pace of Galveston Island. The morning sunrises we fabulous. The breeze came across the deck keeping the air cool. The peace and serenity was just what we needed! The completely fenced area was perfect for Gus to run around safe from jumping in the water unexpectedly! It was a wonderful stay! And we would stay there again. ! truly appreciated the manager contact! He was helpful with any questions we had. Great place!

We truly enjoyed our stay at Kachina Cay! The home was beautiful and well-maintained, and our family was able to enjoy a relaxing, much needed vacation. Although we did not use the bikes, we took the kayaks for a paddle around the canals. It was awesome to have this opportunity! Robin is a great host and promptly responded to our emails from the time of our booking until the day we left. This was a wonderful place to stay with lots of amenities, and we cannot recommend it highly enough!

The home had all the amenities needed to live comfortably. I will book now for my next vacation just to make sure they have the time available. Everything was perfect.

House is updated with modern decorations and plenty of room for family gatherings. Kitchen was well appointed with utensils, etc. outside living space was great! The addition of the bikes and kayaks were a nice addition. Will definitely be back.

Loved the place and location

We’ve never been to the Texas gulf coast and wanted to continue exploring our new home state. This home was perfect for our family to relax, explore and feel at home. Robin provided great recommendations in the area including a phenomenal fishing guide. While we are kinda ready to go home and get back to reality, we all felt at home on vacation.

We enjoyed our trip to Galveston with our family. This was a much needed vacation for all of us. We brought the fur babies too. Everyone felt at home. The home truly had everything you would need to feel at home. The family and doggies next door were very friendly and shared some local information for us. If we head back to Galveston we will stay here for sure.

I use Vrbo a LOT- and in this same area- this was by far the easiest- cleanest stay! Simple and easy. The gate for the dogs was a HUGE bonus!! The kayaks and fishing… ❤️ so clean and simple yet any and everything you need. Just what we needed after the madness of the holidays. Thank you for sharing your home! Couple of light bulbs were out… I don’t care - but some ppl might. Literally only ‘negative.’ Thank you for the breath of fresh air ❤️

This was our second time spending Christmas at Kaychina Cay and it was just as wonderful and memorable as the first time! Thank you Robin for everything!!

The house is wide open, welcoming and has all the amenities one would need. Robin was very helpful and responsive. The fishing/boat dock with the underwater fish light was so much fun to watch with anticipation. The beach is literally just a mile down the road and it was so easy to pack up the truck and drive there. We will definitely look to rent this house again!

This was a great stay! The house is in a great neighborhood with really wonderful neighbors next door. We had so much fun fishing and playing with the kayaks. The beach is close and town is far enough away for the neighborhood to be very peacefully quiet. We really enjoyed our stay.

The house was clean and in a beautiful location! The weather was cold, windy and lots of rain so we stayed inside most of the time. The rooms were very comfortable, the bathrooms well appointed. Big living room where we played a lot of Uno. Can’t recommend this place enough. Super nice and accommodating hosts as well!! I will certainly be coming back.

This house is absolutely beautiful. It's spacious, clean, and the interior is completely up to date. It has everything you need, and it's so peaceful being on the water. Our experience was great! The house was better than described our family was comfortable and happy. The fishing was really good and the boat slip fit our jet ski’s perfect. The host was very helpful, informative and easy to communicate with. We will definitely be coming back

Seven members of our family enjoyed a long weekend at Kachina Kay. The home was super clean and very comfortable. We enjoyed meals and game at the long dining table. Wild West Guide Service provided us with a fabulous day of bay fishing! We will definitely be back!

We had a fantastic family fishing weekend at Kachina Cay! The house had everything we needed, the kids loved the kayaks and the bikes, while we fished, and it was the perfect distance for and easy trip to the beach. Owner communication was great, and the house was perfect. We will definitely book here again!

We love Jamaica Beach and this canal is our favorite. The house was nice and clean. Yard was great for our german shepherd's. We caught a lot of fish off the boat dock. We always rent a golf cart to run around the neighborhood and the beach. We made new friends with the renters nextdoor and had a BBQ with them their last night. Owner is easy to correspond with and very friendly. We would definitely rent this home again in the future.

Property was spacious and as described. The floor plan is practical and house is very clean. The fenced in yard was a plus and just a few minutes from the open water. Great location and family friendly. Highly recommend.

Location is everything in this case. The home is updated, comfortable and is close to beach. The night fishing is amazing too and right off the dock! Will keep this in mind for future visits.

We usually stay beach front but now we love the bay. Loved the bikes to ride, and the kayaks. We rented a golf cart to ride to the beach. The setup of the house was perfect and very nice neighborhood. We will be back😊

It was a nice home for our short stay. We didn’t catch anything outback but it was still fun. About 20-25 minutes from Walmart and the pleasure pier. We had a few issues with the bikes and some fire ants but the host replied immediately and took care of everything. Thanks for a drama free stay!

We thoroughly enjoyed this nice quiet area. Right on the canal. Our grown children loved kayaking right off the dock! Plenty of seating for everyone in the nice open living/dining/kitchen area. Kitchen is well stocked too. This house was super clean too. This house is a little far from the beach, but you could walk it if you wanted. We rented a golf cart during our stay and used it for back and forth to the beach. We have always rented a house on the beach, but I think renting a canal house was even better!! We liked not being around the noisy beach crowd. The only complaint any of us had (and not a major one) was 2 of the bedrooms were a little small. The master bedroom was a little tight with our dog kennel, but we made it work. After all, we were only in there to sleep. We spent all our time outside on the wonderful decks or at the beach. *I would highly recommend a gas grill as the grill provided at the property didn’t work well for our family size. It’s a grill you would see at a state park (no lid and small). We ended up taking our meat back inside to finish cooking, as the wind was blowing and we had no way to control the heat since there wasn’t a lid. BUT we absolutely loved this house and would definitely stay again!! It’s location was perfect for us.
